Thread: OBE, Nightstalkers? or Visitors? ADVISE

I've heard it referred to as Threshold Entity. A lot of people, including myself, see shadowy beings from time to time in the stages between sleeping and waking.

Once you get used to seeing them, they're not so scary.

Reading that gave me shivvers. That sounds scary.

I have seen dark shadowy figures too.. going up the wall and over the ceiling.. coming towards me. It was horrible.. truely frightening.

After reading that.. I'm scared to go to sleep now

I think I would be scared at the 3 figures too..

I get so nervous and scared of things.

were you fully awake when you saw the shadows?

it's weird cause I was thinking about it, i wasn't scared of the figures, i think because they resembled people. I think i was scared of the shadow cause it was just a blob. Then I was thinking that, it was strange that they took off when the shadow came, was the shadow protecting me??? i have no clue. i suppose the only way to find out is to experience it again and i don't want to.

i got the vibrations again last night, so i turned on my stomach so they'd go away. that seems like the only way i've learned to not have them. all last night was uneasy so i didn't feel like going into any sort of weird realm.

i tried to look up threshold entity and couldn't find anything. can you tell me more about it? what are they? spirits or something?
in the house, we would tease a bit and say it was our cat. He died a few months ago.

Does anyone know of any other websites that can give me more information? I've looked a bunch up but can't really find anything.

I was awake falling asleep when I saw the shadow folk. I think it was one shadow dude, he started off small at the other side of the room and crept towards me. My friend was asleep on the floor and I thought it was going to get him. It gave off a really horrible vibe .. I had to leave the light on to go sleep. It wasn't my house it was an old Nunnery. I had really bad dreams that night.

They were kinda like the Dementors from Harry Potter.

I never want to see it again.

You're right, I looked it up too (on DV and Google) and can't find anything other than my own posts mentioning it. I swear I didn't make that up. I think it was the psychological term for that experience. So it is a common enough experience to warrant it's on term.

As for what it is, who knows? I know for sure if you do a search on these boards for "Shadow People" you'll turn up a lot of stuff.

It's interesting to note that the symptoms of schizophrenia are identical these encounters with shadow people or evil presences. With most people, it only happens in between sleeping and waking, but schizophrenics get that all the time.

I gotta agree. Just reading it was freaking creepy. Sheesh, I could only imagine if it really happened to me.

I've seen Shadows out of the corner of my eyes before fully awake, I do believe they're some form of fairly sentient entities that just operate through instinct or maybe fully sentient.
Though it may have been sleep paralysis and they were just in your imagination.

Lol I have never ready harry potter and it was long before I watched it :]

It/they was just really tall and shadowy and dark.
They didnt move much though.. it was just their look.

what i saw on the ceiling was like that bug you, NewREality, have crawling under your name, except all filled in, like a blob, and a gazillion times bigger. it wasn't in any human form. and it creeped on the ceiling kinda scattered like that bug but much slower. I don't like your bug anymore. sorry.
