      How come....

Are out of body experiences as natural as lucid dreams? Because I don't remember ever having one, I've had lucid dreams as a little child about three times if I remember correctly but never an out of body experience. Do they need to be induced or something? If so, does anyone know of a technique that requires least effort? I'm just really curious about them and I want to have one, specially in the middle of the day so I can have fun being invisible walking around town. And who knows? I may find it easier than lucid dreaming itself!

I believe it different for each person. Well at least, its easier for some to be aware of LD's/AP/meditation. Some people can Lucid dream naturally, some have OOBE's naturally. I had both LD's(random ones, not controlled) and an OBE from Astral projection as a child. I got to an extreme sense of meditation, complete disconnection from the mind, full awareness on the body, heavily relaxed(but aware and awake, not asleep like LDS), and all of the sudden my legs up to my lower abs just started flying out of my body. Since I was a child I was scared and chose not to go through with the AP. It's definitely a different thing then lucid dreaming. LD's you just fall into a dream scape, or a dream scape is built and boom your in it. In astral projection, your being/spirit/energy body is lifted out of your physical body. 2 completely different things.

Try out the nap induced astral projection technique a few posts down on this thread. That should be all the tactile you need to achieve it.

Yup thats the one. In there you get linked to this forum, which I forgot to include. It appears to be like the DreamViews community for astral projection:

I will be trying out the nap induced AP

Ive tried a method that i read about here on DV once for AP quite a few times. If you are good at Lucid Dreaming, then it is easy to do.

When you are in a LD, just fall backwards. Close your arms around your body and just like the trust game that you do with your friends, fall back. You get shipped to some place that is super weird and un expected. When i do this technique, i end up in an old western type of bar, but im always on the top floor and up there is a play set like you see in McDonalds. On the big circle window that is up there, i see my grandfathers face. I guess that once your in this place you can will yourself out into an AP, but i have not been able to perform this.

I just pretty much said this to give you a easy to do idea. Everyone has methods that work well for each selfs. Myself its the NIAP technique, others can do it other ways. Read everywhere and find one that suits you best. Often times the "quikest" o learn technique is one that you can do easily, but maybe someone else cant do.

As far as I can tell, astral projections ARE lucid dreams.

Well if you keep believing that you'll fail, it's much more likely that indeed you will continue to do so.
