      Question OBE or something?

This one night, a month or so ago, I was laying in bed trying to sleep.
I suddenly felt like I was released from my body, I pushed away from it, feeling much lighter. I opened my eyes and looked around and floated off my bed (I'm on the top of a bunk bed, I share a room with my sister) I continued to float outside of my room when suddenly I felt extremely heavy and I was on my bed again. I never saw my body and when I tried to I only saw my blankets covering something, probably me, but I didn't see my face or anything. I felt myself leave my body and down the hallway.
This happened three times, I kept getting pulled back to my bed. I woke myself up somehow, I knew It wasn't real and I had became frustrated with not being in control. Once I woke up I wasn't freaked out or afraid, I just looked around my bedroom and realized that there was more color than what I had just dreamed. During my "dream" I noticed everything was black and white and I could see everything though my lights were off.
I was aware that It wasn't real life, but It wasn't like a lucid dream, I couldn't control it and I felt different than how I do in dreams.
      Could this be an OBE?

same thing happened to me and personally, I feel it wasn't an obe.
This has happened to me a couple of times now and I've studied my past experiences and I have come to the conclusion that its me dreaming of having an obe. ONe thing that was missing for me is the energy line that connects my energy body to my earthly body. during an obe, this line will always be connected to your two bodies. the only thing i can say is if you ever have another experience like that, look for that "line" connecting your bodies

haha, i did the same exact thing actually; once, I reluctantly looked at my bed to see if my earthly body was still there and all i saw were my bed covers. i was dissapointed, but then went off to have a normal LD.
obe's and Lds are quite similar, some people even say they're one and the same, either way, i wish i could help you more, but im in the same conundrum.

lol, you're lucky that you can even be that close to an OBE. I've tried once but never got past the relaxing part
I wish that I could help you more, but I'm teh biggest newb in the world, so i can't. Sorry!

Thanks, I'm not sure if I will ever experience that again, it was a long time ago and hasn't happened yet. But if it does I'll look for the "line" connecting my bodies, as you say.

I've come to think that OBE's and LD's are all realities wrapped up like the layers of an onion. whether you're exploring a plane like the one from your waking life, or exploring some wild dreamscape, its all a trip. . .

so I guess in theory, OBE's are LD's, you're just concentrating on different imagery. . .haha, rather than concentrating on entering a dreamscape, you must concentrate on exiting your physical body instead.

but be careful, like you, i don't think I ever successfully had an OBE. . .but what I do know is that I've given myself insomnia by trying so much. . .haha.

its the old proverb: try without trying. . .

I think that what separates the two is that in an OBE your are still in objective real time.
