I have had dreams that weren;t quite recurring, but rather occured in the same universe, a sort of realm in which the atmosphere through the different dreams had a similar air of surreality different from my normal dreams, or even my normal nightmares. Characters in these dreams display a surprising amount of wisdom and occasionally exasperation with me being unable to tell what they mean if they need to explain further than their first comment or explanation, and once when I challenged one (who was not taller than me), he merely held me at arms length until I gave up trying to fight him. In this same realm, there is something... Evil. I can;t explain it any other way. Not dark, not spooky. Beyond malevolent. Evil. It has top be confronted and defeated (I doubt i;m the one, if singular, who is suppposed to take it down, especially since I tend to pass out and wake up when I even near the source).
I have experienced what people I know have called "walkthroughs." The wife of the ghost tours guy at the Crescent Hotel (Eureka, Arkansas) said it was likely something occult, someone possibly trying to summon a demon from another time or realm, and my dad (who is the unofficial consultant on this sort of thing for a number of people) said it could have been a dimensional traveller, surprised that I could see him despite either a cloakig spell or simply being in transit. (Note: seee definition of Mode Nexus for Virtual Mode series, that may have nothing to do with it but it would make sense). Along with this, someone (in the Nightstalkers/Dreamwalkers thread) mentioned that it would be unlikely to recurrently meet different dreamsharers unless one is (or is at) some sort of nexus at which they meet.
Anyway, what I thought was that this might be an explanation. If I only meet the atypical dream characters in dreams occurent in one "realm," and signs imply that they may be NS/DWs, it could be that either my particular mind/dreamtype or my physical location is at a nexus of dreams, a sort of crossroads. I've heard something about this before, a metaphorical crossroads where different dream worlds may intersect, and am wondering if I might not be attracted or connected to it somehow. Does anyone have an opinion on this? Ideas? Can anyone even pick out what I was trying to say through my attempts at clarity muddying up the writing?
