Inducing the vibrations

Below is Robert Monroes technique for establising the vibratory force in order to astral travel. Prior to this you have achieved a state of deep relaxation.
My question is can anyone PLEASE help make sense of what he means when he says you have to bend that point 90 degrees? I can follow the 1 foot, 3 feet, 6 feet focusing but how do you bend a point in space 90 degrees?
Where exactly do you finally reach for the vibrations?
Can anyone have a shot at explaining this, i know im missing somehting here but i just dont get it.



Establish the vibration waves. As you continue breathing through your half-opened mouth, concentrate on the blackness in front of your closed eyes. Look first into the blackness at a spot a foot away from your forehead. Now move your point of concentration to three feet away, and then six feet. Hold for a while until the point is firmly established. From there, turn the point 90° upward, on a line parallel to the body axis and reaching out above the head. Reach for the vibrations at that spot. When you find them, mentally pull them back into your head.
This simple description must pose many questions. Reach out with what? Pull what back into your head? Let us try another method of explanation. Begin a mental concentration, as if two lines were extending from the outer sides of your closed eyes. Think of them as converging at a point a foot away from your forehead. Visualize a resistance or pressure when these two lines meet, as if two charged electric wires were joined, or poles of a magnet forced together. Now extend this juncture outward to about three feet, or the length of your arm outstretched. Due to the angular difference, the pressure pattern is altered. A compression of the space (forces?) between the converging lines must result, and the pressure must therefore increase to maintain the convergence. After the three-foot length has been established and held, extend the intersection point out to six feet away from your head, or 30°. (So that you can properly visualize the exact angle that represents 30°, it may help to mark off a 30° angle by protractor on paper and memorize bow it looks.)
Once you have learned to establish and maintain the 30° angle outward (or roughly six feet away), bend the point of intersection 90° (or in an “L”) upward in the direction of your head but parallel to the axis of your body. You “reach” with this point of intersection. Stretch or reach with this point more and more, until you obtain a reaction. Again, you will know when you obtain it. It is as if a surging, hissing, rhythmically pulsating wave of fiery sparks comes roaring into your head. From there it seems to sweep throughout your body, making it rigid and immobile.

yeah i was wondering at first and honestly still am 'cuz im not 100% but as of what i can get from the information. i get this Have these two bar like things parallel to each other then imagine a force of pressure or resistance between them. Once you got that imagine one of them turning downward so it looks like the letter L thats laid on its back and your looking the bottom of the letter. then twist the other side to the L is standing up now. thus making a 90 degree angle. from that align that with your head and reach and pull.

hmm yeah i guess thats one way to interpet it , still not sure honestly. surely he would have worded it differently if that what he meant but anyway im glad im not the only only who finds this description confusing, btw it does work , i somehow managed to acheiev the vibrations years ago without knowing exactly what i was doing. thanks for the response

You reach for the vibrations in a direction way above your head, following the extension of the length axis of your body. You may have to reach out as far as dozens of meters, even kilometers. The trick is to keep pushing your focal point upward and keep following it as if a part of you were actually having been rocketed out of the top of your head. Just keep increasing the speed and follow the point until you hear a twang or click.

This trick expands the energy body and also manipulates the focal point of consciousness within the brain.

Using two lines is not necessary but playing by the rules set by Monroe makes it more easy to keep yourself focused. Normally you would find that by pushing the focal point away from your head will make it more difficult to keep the visualization stable. Now if you pretend that the lines are repelling each other, as Monroe suggests, you would trick your mind into accepting that you need to gradually increase your concentration. This is because the decreasing angle between the lines will translate into an increased force of repulsion.

Robert Peterson has modified this method. He advices to push the origin of the two lines away from your temples as well. I think this further assists hemispheric implosion into the center region of the brain.

It's quite fascinating that as far as the brain concerned both component action, i.e. (1) pushing the focal point away perpendicular to the length axis of your body and (2) throwing it upward on the length axis of your body accomplish just the opposite of reaction what one would expect. It's basically about how the world is represented in the brain - upside-down and laterally reversed. So movement #1 actually internalizes activity to the center of the brain and movement #2 pushes it down from the center of the brain to the brainstem and back into the body. This puts the brain to sleep.

sounds just as complex as monroe but i'll give yours a try. unless you can dumb it down for me?

If you try Peterson's spin on Monroe, be sure to read the original instructions. I may be wrong on some details.

You can create the focal point in the middle section of your body. This is what I do. Then every now and often I throw my awareness upward on the length axis of my body and outward through the top of my head. I usually combine this with a feeling of expansion as the focal point were the front that stretches the bubble of my awareness from inside.

You need to be asleep or very close to sleep for this to work. Otherwise it can wake you up fully. But don't confuse wakefulness with a very clear state you may end up in. You may feel tingling in your arms and limbs, pressure on your perineum.

The easiest way to OBE is to do this maneuver right after you wake up. You need to practice with it until you can pull it out instantly and automatically. You can also set up a timer that goes off periodically without needing you to switch it off.

If you try from wakefulness you need to put yourself into sleep. There is a specific way of breathing that helps your body to fall asleep and propel the point upward. It helps if you count from 10 or so backwards then do the push in zero. Then start counting again.

You need to be silent for a long time for this to work so start over if your thoughts drift off.

You should do the push immediately when you catch yourself having been asleep, unconscious, drowsy or seeing hypnagogics. You will have an OBE then.

Tbh. most of you are not even trying to project when u try this at first. Because you dont no whats going on, and dont no what to look for you will end up astral faze'ing, WAY different experience, and takes WAY longer to master
