Hey has anyone tried Quantum Touch? It is so cool.
The other day me and my niece were sitting on the sofa and I noticed the back of her ears where bleeding so I looked at them and they had this strange rash thing. I put my hands over her ears and used some of the techniques used in a book about Quantum Touch and it healed her ears leaving behind a small red area on them - they no longer had a rash or were bleeding.
I googled it and it seems any info on it wants to be paid for.
Could you give an quick description of what exactly the technique is? :)

Never heard of it, but I think I can guess what it is, it's probably a technique that uses mere simple attention or other meditation techniques to heal the body. By putting your attention on a certain part of the body it will heal itself. This works because afterall, it's not pills who heal the body, but the body always heals itself, medicine usually just gives a little support to speed up the process.
Could you please post the technique?
Might have been a placebo depending on the time required in order for the healing process to take effect properly - and depending upon the amount of faith devoted to the feeling - or how convinced the victim was.
However, it would be great to know of how this works, it may have not been a placebo and something completely different. Please explain the techniques!

Anyway...the technique. Now it's been a while since I've read a book about it so I'm a tad hazy on the nitty-gritty details so just bear with my.
Needed to Know Information
A majority of people know that the body has seven major energy centers called "Chakras". They are - from lowest to highest positions in the human body : -
Base/Root Chakra (Lowest position in body)
Sacral Chakra
Solar Plexus Chakra
Heart Chakra
Throat Chakra
Brow/Third Eye Chakra
Crown Chakra (Highest position in body)
Their colors are shown by the color of their names (I left "Crown Chakra" black but it is white NOT black)
However there are several other minor ones however these do not have names (as far as I'm aware). Their colors are all white (as far as I'm aware).
Positions of Minor Chakras
There is a large one below your base/root chakra
There are four above your crown chakra (in an ascending order of
increasing size - the largest one being at the top).
Okay now we are able to discuss techniques
Technique
Breathing
Breathing is particularly important in QT as it helps focus the mind. You should either: -
1) breathe in for four counts and breathe out for four counts; or
2) breathe in for two counts (taking in as much air as you can) and then
breathing out for four counts.
WARNING - be careful using the second breathing technique as continually breathing like that has been known to cause people to feel dizzy and pass out.
Note: there are other breathing techniques used in QT but I can not remember them at this moment in time.
Visualisation
Visualisation is of particular importance in QT as it is needed to help conduct the healing process. If there are any tai chi chuan practitioners reading this then these exercises are similar to qi channelling ones. These exercises require good use of the breathing techniques.
1) First regulate your breathing by using the first breathing technique. You
can use the second one but I strongly don't recommend it as you may
pass out as some people take a while to become adept at this
technique and as a result they take longer practicing sessions and if
they use technique 2 they will inevitably pass out.
2) Once you got your breathing going imagine as you inhale, you're
inhaling golden light which travels down to your lowest chakra (minor
one below root/base chakra) causing it to glow (pick up energy). As
you exhale imagine this chakra spinning - it doesn't matter too much
what way they spin - and storing this energy.
3) Once it is spinning repeat step 2 for your other chakras (major and
minor) by going up to the next chakra - e.g. after first doing step 2
the next chakra you would "spin" is the base/root chakra and the next
would be the sacral and so on. Make sure to visualise the previous
chakras spinning as you do this step! (e.g. after moving from the
lowest minor chakra to the root/base chakra remember to visualise
the lower minor one still spinning and picking up/storing energy!)
4) After doing this you should feel a tingling sensation up and down your
spine. If you don't feel this then you most likely didn't keep your
previous chakras spinning as you moved on to new ones.
5) Then try and keep the visualising going (all chakras - major and minor
- spinning and picking up/storing energy) then as you exhale imagine
this energy travelling up your spine and down your arms and to your
hands. You should either feel a warm sensation taking that route or
a slight tingling sensation.
*Don't worry if you can't get the "tingling" straight away - this technique
does take time. *
Note: there are other ways to generate the energy that you feel in you spine but I cannot remember them and this technique is my favorite one to use.
Healing
There are two ways to heal some one - close up (you must be touching them) or long distance (not touching them and you don't have to be far away for this). Close up is better for treating serious injuries.
Note: there has been cases of some people being able to heal misplaced/broken bones (this only works in close up healing) by using QT but I have never seen this or done it.
Close up you use the visualising technique and the very last step is to imagine the energy in your hands going into the area of the patients wound/ailment. Don't try and imagine the wound healing. The patients body does that for you. You are merely supplying energy so their body can heal faster.
Long distance you also use the visualising technique. You just hold out your hands in the direction of the patient and imagine the energy in your hands shooting out to them and to the area of their wound/ailment. Their body will do the rest.
REMEMBER you must be quite good at the breathing and visualising technique before moving on to the healing.
Note: The healing does take time for the beginner as you are new to the
technique. As you practice the speed in which you can instigate someone's
healing increases so do not worry if it takes time.
Why does it have 'quantum' in the name if it has nothing to do with quantum qechanics?
Now...I'm struggling to remember the correct wording but it has "Quantum" in it's name as it does have something to do with quantum mechanics - something to do with a certain law of it or something and the way the particles move.
I can't really say as I haven't read about that aspect of it and also my knowledge about physics sucks ^^
As far as I know there's no known mechanism in quantum mechanics which could permit any kind of "healing".
I'm not going to argue how I think this is all bullshit. I just posted here to point out you shouldn't use quantum in the name, it misleads people into the trend of believing that quantum mechanics explains everything that is supernatural.
Because there's some new terminology that these practitioners are using lately e.g. 'quantum collapse' which also IMO has nothing to do with quantum physics.Quote:

As far as I know, I'm sure smaller particles are sophisticated enough for use in building and for utilization in health or maintenance. That would be for nanotechnology for instance, not that nanotechnology is considered as quantum, as a quantum level is much lower.Quote:

Hey, let's change the term for Shared Dreaming, if we call it Quantum Dreaming then we can pretend it is supported by physics.

Anyway, the writer, I believe, never coined the term "Quantum Mysticism". I think critics did. In order to make a mockery of it I suppose....
