      OBE and time

when having an obe does the flow of time change? for example can I experience one hour in an Obe and wake up ten minutes after i went under? Is it possible to live mentally for a thousand years in the course of one night?

      PS: please forgive my ignorance.

When you refer to an OBE, are you strictly speaking about a lucid dream, or a different OBE? If you're not talking about a dream, I can move this to BD.

      As far as lucid dreaming,

It's not that rare to hear of people speak of lucid dreams that seemed to last for very long periods of time... longer, in fact, than a dream is supposed to be able to last. Which makes it sound like, yes, you can have a lucid dream that seems to take more time than it is actually taking in RL.

Some people like the hypothesis that boring and tedious parts of travel and etc. are left out of dreams, so if you were in at your house, got into the car, and drove to your aunts house, you'd really be at your house, get into the car, and suddenly be pulling up at your aunt's, so even though it happened in a very short period of time you believed that a longer period of time had passed.

Thank you. When i was saying OBE i was talking about the soul/mind/whatever you want to call it leaving the body and traveling to the astral plane/higher plane/whatever you want to call it. so in short, i dont think i was talking about dreaming.
      Forgive my ignorance

That's what I figured. I will move this to the Beyond Dreaming section for you, you'll get much more on-topic responses than people like me babbling about lucid dreams you're not interested in

I believe time flows similiarly during an OBE, but it depends on how high of a plane you are in. The higher you go, the less you are connected to the physical world and its rules. I had a source, let me try to find it...
