      Communication Amid Sleep

So, I have a story to tell you, and afterwards a question to pose:

One night, I was dreaming, experimenting with dream control tactics I've learned form several sites. Well, in this dream I was sort of controlled, but fragile hold at best. I was in this apartment, talking with this girl I've never met before. She had flaming red hair that fell just below her shoulders, a slender figure, stood about 5'6", probably weighed about 113 lbs, she looked 19, wore a horizontal striped red and white long sleeved turtleneck with brown khaki pants and green socks over her feet.

We mostly talked about eachother during the dream, I was explaining how I was experminenting with some techniques. She asked me what for? Then I told her, well you see, I'm dreaming right now, and I want to keep myself asleep.

Suddenly I felt the dream lifitng so I began the dream spin technique. When I restablished my hold on the dream, she looked at me with her head tilted. "Why do you want to stay asleep?" she asked me, and I replied, well, if I wake up, I'll never be able to see you again." then she said "awww that's cute." then I woke up.

      ---------------------------------------------------------------------

So My question is this, is it possible that you could communicate with other people in the world through a dream? and if so, do you think it would be possible to find some way to contact said person in the waking world?

Yes. It is possible. I've never done that directly, but I have witnessed a close friend having a dream while I dreamed. I've also had Dreams of things happening with others in my life whom I could not see or communicate with in any other way.

Someone with enough control of the Dreamtime could establish the necessary connections and seek out enough validation points to do what you're suggesting.

What about if it's with someone you've never met before? You don't know their name, where they live, or even how to communicate with them outside of the dream. and What if this person you spent time with in the dream, felt real, and you felt a real connection with em?

Why not ask them their name and such while dreaming about them and then try to establish contact once you wake up?

My own personal and wacky belief is that dreams are doorways to a parallell (sp) world. Even if they were truly real, perhaps they are outside your particular area of time and space.

On a more practical note... take care not to lose yourself to your dreams. I'm guilty myself of using sleep as a form of escape. Just don't forget to live and find love in the world around you.

Very well put. Good advice for us all.
