      Tense Feet!!!

      Hello everyone

I wasn't sure where to post this as I am very new to DV and unsure what section this will fall.

I have been reading through countless archives on the site and lurking around certain subjects to gain a better insight on OBE. As long as I can remember, I have had such a fascination with this subject.
Even though I haven't AS YET experienced this, I have a very strong will, and believe that because of this it may be just around the corner.

For the best part of a week now, I have researched numerous sites and Youtube clips on this subject to maintain this focus and awareness on what I am trying to acheive. Generally, energy goes where attention and flows and holding an intent is conductive to progress.

I have ordered the Saltcube dvd and find its a great tool and has been helpful in joining the many dots and summarizing all the information out there.

The reason for my post is to ask a question and hope someone can shed a bit of light. I have been using the many techniques that are on offer and have ben inspired by many of you who have attained a success rate in this field. In fact, the very first night I attempted this, I felt the common vibrations in my ear and knew that I was on the verge of success. Unfortunately, my heart raced so much, the experience faded and I have since not been able to get to that state.

Ever since this, I have come to understand the importance in keeping the body still. This I am getting better at however now I have found another issue and that is this:

In relaxing to a deeper state, I find that my feet (toes) start to curl inward causing my foot to tense up. I know this may sound strange but it has happened on a few occasions now which is a little distracting. In the beginning I thought it could of been the start of the paralysis as the sensation in the feet were more tense than the rest of my body. After realizing this sensation was my toes curling inward, I moved my consciousness to my feet and began to relax them once again. Surely being tense in the body this way was not a good sign.
So, again after another attempt I tried again to relax. I have become very good at listening to the bodys signals to test if the mind is asleep and have become pretty good at ignoring them. However, again on very deep relaxation, my ears again start to ring and high pitch and my feet again start to curl inwards.

This is becoming counter productive as I then have to bring my awareness back to my feet to relax them again.

Is this common and has anyone else had this happen to them? I am very much confused as to why this is happening and haven't read anywhere as this being a clause on the body paralysis.

For you to better understand perhaps you may curl your toes inward to feel the sensation. This is what I am experiencing while being deeply relaxed and happens involuntary without warning.

      Any ideas?

Hmmm...well since it's not a conscious effort, try doing self hypnosis. In this case, you would send messages to your subconcious mind telling it to stop curling your toes and you can also use self hypnosis to help you achieve an OBE. There is a tutorial on DV here:

      Good luck!

I have tried and am still continuing to use this process. I am spending most of my time in bed to attain the success rate. I count from 1 to 100 with an affirmation in between breaths.

It's is the most unusual sensation that happens by itself. I have no control of this only until I consciously relax it
