      My home.

I dislike referring to it as a haunting, as that seems unrealistic. What this is, is it seems like there is something in my house, most likely dead or deceased, that roams. Here is some proof, generously given by my dog.

      Some background information:

-My living room is 3 steps away from the second floor. Its open, so it is possible to see the bathroom, and 2 bedrooms from the living room.

-There is a huge window jetting out into my front yard, almost directly in front of my dogs chair.

-The house is maybe, 40 years old.

      Now, for the proof.

-Often, my dog will stare into what appears to me as a blankness up the 3 steps into my second floor. Nothing I do will take her attention away from there, aside from possibly touching her.

-I will be reading a book on my couch (up against a wall, sideways with the stairs, not parallel, but still with a perfect view. And my dog will randomly perk up and jump up and stare up the stairs. I pay attention for any noises or cars going by, or people walking by. Nothing.

-I will be sleeping in my room, early in the morning, just sleeping. Suddenly, no noises or anything, my dog will begin to growl at the surroundings. It frightens me, but nothing ever happens.

-My dog is constantly shifting her view around, as if she was hiding something. Also, she is constantly shivering and shaking. We even raise the thermometer for her, but to no avail.

Please tell me your thoughts. Obviously nothing malicious is after me, for I am fine. I just worried for my dogs health and state of mind.

P.S. Don't ask, for I have no personal evidence on this, nor do I have any other proof. This is what I have. I can take pictures of my dog staring, but I'm not sure what that would prove.

Hum, my cat use to do that. Don't worry about your dogs health. They're fine. It's just that sometimes animals can feel paranormal activities better than us humans.

Here's a picture someone sent in to the Coast to Coast website a couple of days ago. He's noticed the same thing. http://www.coasttocoastam.com/gen/pa...ml?theme=light

Next time your dog sees something, try snapping some photos.

But! If you're going to take pictures... Be wise about it.

That picture is easily disputed, because the flash from the camera could have bounced off the glass in the background, and made a little shine in the corner.

      Just a tip.
      Bollocks.

No matter what steps you take, any picture is always going to be disputed.

      Well, yea.

But for your own sake. Make it as accurate as possible. Otherwise, you'll always wonder, which kind of sucks. Unless you are ready to believe anything.

Thanks a lot, I figure it shouldn't be too hard to take a picture. And that image is disturbing, almost 100% similar, except my dog will sit and stare at a spot for hours, not moving except to shiver, with her ears perked, as though being enticed or called out to. Quite creepy.

So, assuming that isn't some reflection, what could that be? It looks like a large spirit hand or something like that, lol

Maybe before thinking it has to be something paranormal, go get your dog checked up? it could be anything. Perhaps your dog heard some noises upstairs creeking, or you have mice and he was listening, it could have been anything at all. Just because you can't hear anything does not mean the dog can't, dogs have really good hearing MUCH better then a human does. They can hear things we simply can't.

People love to say things are paranormal when they can't explain what's happening. Try ruling out possibilities as much as possible before coming to any conclusions. You can guess what it "could" be, but don't automatically think you know what the problem is.

I have a picture of my now dead dog of over 2 years (RIP) with a ghost head on it, actually you can see several if you really look. Cameras love doing trippy stuff...

I have to agree with you on the possibilities of what something could be, as opposed to what we may think of it as.

Also, a ghost head? Is that just a glitch of the camera?

Glitch? i dunno but it was taken on a cell phone which could explain the ghost face.

I put a black circle around it....if you saw it once you always see it all the time, even when not looking. If you look closely you can see several faces, but they are faded.

That's natural; our brains process visual data into something we're more familar with. This is why we see human and animal faces as normal, whereas if a face appeared distinct, we'd be scared or may display alternative behaviour to how we normally do when we see a face.

However, if a face is seen in a camera or such, even if it's merely a crease or such, we'd be scared due to it being in the wrong place.

My mom used to take pictures like these and then one day my step father went into his shop and threw saw dust into the air and it looked just like the "orbs" that you are taking pictures of. Ever since then my mom doesn't take pictures of them. LOL

Yes, dogs can hear at a lower frequency than humans can. I think its 12-20000Hz compared to 20-22000Hz for humans

Yeah i know it's really not a ghost face. It's a camera on a cell phone, and i know cameras love to make weird stuff...like those orbs are from dust on the lens.

Also, what you said also refers to clouds and making shapes to what we see around the world. But it's the wind moving the clouds, and forming shapes...we just go by what we know and see a zebra or something.

maybe work on getting your dog to accept this presence...i dont have any ideas on how.

otherwise i feel said for him/her (your dog)

oooh actually, let him sleep in your bed with you, and hug him tight, if thats works out.

growl with him to make to feel like 2 against 1. Attack the entity with outstretched for your dogs benefit. Or also when your dog feels it's presence talk to it about how its making your dog feel and try and remedy the situation.

      goodluck!

(it also may not be paranormal but have to do with the otherthings like people suggest)

That just gave me a good laugh. Imagine someone walking into your bedroom with you growling alongside your dog
