During Astral Projection Do You Bend Time?

This subject confuses me since I, myself have not yet experienced astral projection. When I hear about some people saying that when they astral travel they explore space and encounter/talk to alien beings or other dimesions. Since it is very doubtful that any of our planets in our solar system yield life that would mean that these astral travelers would have to explore other solar systems right? If this previous statement is true then it would mean that even if they were traveling at the spped of light it would still take them awhile to get to their destination. Now this is the confusing part for me. Since it is *therorized* that traveling any faster than light will cause time distortion (time travel basically right?) how can you go faster than the speed of light w/o bending time and still make it to your destination. This is where you people who astral tavel come in. While astral projection does time alter or to get from destination to destination do you, i dunno, take wormholes or doors or gateways or someother method? I know this is confusing and I'm really cofusing myself but I would really appreciate it if someone could shed some light on my question. Peace.

Two things to consider first: are these people really astral traveling or just dreaming?
if they're really traveling, is it "aliens" they're speaking with or just beings from other dimensions?

if the latter is true, they are traveling, and if they ARE really speaking with beings from other solar systems, perhaps when we leave our bodies, we are leaving the boundaries of time. time and space are supposed to intersect to create the time/space continuum, so maybe astral travellers disconnect from the time plane and exist only in space. but can they exist separately from each other? maybe astral travellers leave the whole plane that IS the time/space continuum.

does that help or just further confuse?

I'm pretty sure when they said this they were astral traveling cause it was one of those sites dedicated to Astral Travel and it was under some section like "Why should we astral travel?"

It both helps and confuses (well, not really confuse, just leads to more questions). If it is true that we just leave the boundaries of time would time stop completely or would you be under some other kind of physical rule? And if we leave the space/time continum then maybe theses beings live outside the space/time continum or perhaps they are astral projecting also. Thanks for the input

It's actually really simple, just think of the universe as a Dna stand. Now think outside the Dna Strand pinpointing exactly where you want to go. I believe each person is a God of mind, they just have to choose whether or not they harness its potential. I'm no expert at it, but if you feel a spirit inside of you with immense light, power, and abundance then give it a try, don't concern yourself over losing your grip of reality, just remember not to abbandon it completely.

Don't think of it as stopping time, but rather jumping out of time completely.
Existance has no beggining nor end, but will always have purpose.

Time is an illusion. It is not real, and the illusion in gone in the astral realms.
"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed."
      - Albert Einstein
"We're so engaged in doing things to achieve purposes of outer value that we forget the inner value, the rapture that is associated with being alive, is what it is all about."
      -Joseph Campbell
"He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would fully suffice. This disgrace to civilisation should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, senseless brutality, deplorable love-of-country stance, how violently I hate all this, how despicable and ignoble war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be part of so base an action! It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder."
      -Albert Einstein

      Parallel Universes

Maybe through astral projection we travels through "Parallel Universes". Studies done at Princeton and Cambridge Universities have blown me away with their talk of other parallel universes were there might exist a copy of our solar system with another copy of ourselves in it. The following links talks about this and has links to other studies from different universities.

The link to the parallel universe was interesting and left me yearning to know more about the parallel universe theroy. The Superstring phenomenology was a little difficult to follow but the book by Dr Michio Kaku looks like a good read. Thanks for the links dreamlyn and everyone else's input on the topic.
