Can you meet someone in your dreams?

I put this same thread in another sub-forum, but was told that this might be called dream sharing.

Last night I had a dream of me and an ex boyfriend. I believe we are both very much in love and still very much care about each other, but because of circumstances, we can't be together at this time. We haven't talked to each other in a little over a month. The dream started off with me walking in grassy field. I see another person in the distance walking toward me. As he gets closer I realize it is my ex bf. He comes up to me and smiles. He says "I missed you" and I say "I missed you too". We walk and talk about our days and catch up like no time has passed. We laugh and joke around. Then all of the sudden he says "I have to go" and he embraces me, kisses me on the lips and then on the forehead. He pulls back, looks into my eyes and says "Babers, don't miss me too much, I'll see you soon." and I say "No, please don't go, not yet" and he says "I have to, its time for me to wake up" I jump on him, wrap my arms and legs around him and beg him not to leave. He starts to walk back toward where he came from, still holding me. He stops and says, "you have to go back the other way, where you came from, you can't go with me." I realize I have to let go. He looks me in the eyes and smiles. My eyes tear up and he says "You promised you wouldn't cry anymore, you know I hate when you cry." Right then he grabs my hand and kisses me on the forehead again and then lets go of my hands and turns and starts to run away. I reach out to him and yell "I love you". Right then I feel something pull on me and I wake up. A tear streamed down my face. I could still feel where he kissed my forehead and it was slightly wet from his lips. I could feel the warmth of his hand in mine. It felt so real, like I really met him in my dreams. Is it possible to meet someone you are connected to in real life, in your dreams? I almost want to call him and tell him about the dream and see if he too had the same dream.

Is it possible to share a dream with someone even if you don't mean to. Maybe if you are soul mates, even though I am not sure me and him are....however, this dream felt almost too real for it to just be a dream. I remember when I met him I felt as if I had already met him. We discussed this once before when we were dating and he said the same thing. He said he felt as if he has met me before and I jokingly said "Maybe in another life".

Yes, some believe that on occasion, people can dream share on accident or unintentionally.

I maintain that if it does exist, it would be extremely difficult to achieve. But that's only my opinion.

Can you arrange to meet up somewhere, like a specific place at a specific time?

I'm no expert... Someone who is better versed in this, could you please tackle the questions?
      Bollocks.

I have heard of astral projection. My father has told me about it and he said he can't control when he does it, it just happens and he is still uncomfortable with it. He said the last time he did it, a loud voice said "What are you doing" and it scared him and jerked out of his trance-like state. I guess I have always been too scared to try it.

If AP is truly the spirit world, you should be very careful when you decide to persuade it As to your first post, yes, I believe that dreamsharing is possible, not sure the method, but, I've heard that if you can become lucid, then you can create a tunnel and say that when you get to the other side, you'll reach the other person's dream. Not sure how well it works though

I've heard that you should yell to a door, that when you go through, your in your friends dream. Havent tried it out yet, Last time when i should test it, i coudnt find a door. When i finally found it, i had forget what to do there anyway. Anyone else who can try? Call him/her right after you woke up to confirm it works.
Would be really cool to go and turn all my friends lucid, and then have a big party at my dream

yes. it is, and i have done it. the difficulty is overcoming the belief that this CANNOT be done. we all have this belief - both as a personal idea and a mass-held idea, and we hold it very, very deeply. we are conditioned from infancy to discount our own abilities.

allow for the possibility that you CAN share a dream, and then - and here's the tricky part - give yourself the suggestion to experience shared dreaming without expectation and without discouragement when you don't get results. don't put a time limit on it and don't give up. sooner or later you will experience shared dreaming.
