Not awake, not sleeping or lucid dreaming

A couple of years ago I was in Chicago for work training. The training was also at my hotel. A few of us were out there and the night before I had quite a bit to drink. The next day I was hung over really bad. During one of our 10 minute breaks I went to my room to lie down. Within 15 seconds I started to have rem, became paralyzed and heard a loud whirring noise and felt like I was being sucked in a vacuum. I couldn't get out, I was awake, not sleeping, it takes me a while to fall asleep. I was hoorified, I tried to wake up and all I could see was I was going through a tunnel. The best way I could describe what happened would be an out of body experiance. Not that it was, but if I had something to compare it to that would be it. I have to say that this was like somewhere between a drewam and awake, but not a lucid dream. This happened another time, but I caught it before I got too sucked in. This time I felt the pull and the noise was like a constant pounding, like boulders hitting the ground. I'm a normal guy, I watch sports, up to date with the news. Just a typical person. Can anyone explain this too me. Had a few other weird things too.

Just playing around Welcome Jaymo. What you were experiencing was an OBE (Out Of Body Experience). Usually they can be triggered from Sleep paralysis which is also something you've experienced. Next time you experience this don't fight it because you will only freak yourself out. This is a great induction to Lucid Dreaming use it to your advantage. Just Relax during Paralysis and imgine yourself floating and you will slip into a Lucid Dream.

If you see a light at the end of a tunnel again, i recomend stay away. At the other end, if u c firey flames, i recomend stay away.

I have had lucid dreams before, this was more real than that. I regret fighting it now because I want it to happen again, unfortunatley I had to be hung over both times. I was afraid I would stop breathing, that is why I fought it. WHen I try to do it my self I can get to the point of rem while completly awake, but I always lose concentration.

hahaha this is confusing.. everytime ShadowNightWing says something, i see the FLCL avatar in his signature thing, and it makes me think its paperdoll talking, then i see the mean wolf later and im like "wait, who said that up there?"

I know what you mean Tim it's crazy See we all know Paperdoll is really Haruko. And Haruko/Paperdoll has been speaking through me Sorta like Telepethy I guess. Sometimes I can't even get out what I really want to say here. Man it sucks I wish she take this Avatar back and get out of my head.. aaaahhhhhhhh :makeitstop:
