Actually, when I was more active in lucid dreaming (few years back), I used to meditate in my LD's. This often gave me a very intense experience. Later I read that it is also part of dream yoga. I have used this to meditate myself from a LD into deep sleep, and stay aware. The experience you have there is quite interesting, as you lose all feeling of you physical body. It also takes at least 1/2-1 minute to wake up from this state (whereas in any other LD i can wake up in the blink of an eye). I'm going to try this again next time I get a LD.
I try it every now and then, but never keep at it. Like meditation or practicing remote viewing, I just lose interest.
But while I was practicing, my number of lucids did increase. On the other hand, it also spoiled some lucids. I'm somewhat convinced life is a dream, so instead of coming to the conclusion that i was dreaming, I came to the conclusion that it was an RL dream.
Basically, when I do dream yoga, it's an extended reality check. Instead of doing an RC and then going back about my daily business, I do an RC and keep doing it for as long as I can, checking to see if I'm dreaming. When I'm really into it, I can spend most of the day doing that.
