Thread: So I was watching Criss Angel..

Wow, I seen the exact episode not too long ago tonight. I don't think its real.. but if you actually think it is, then your brain might copy a sensation of levitating.

Ask any well-known illusionist/magician, they will all tell you that Criss Angel is a character that was just created for the show and that it's just video editing.

Everyone in his show are all just actors(the people who are like OMG he just did and I saw it with my eyes) Honestly don't believe the stuff he does, its just a waste of time because its all video editing. The shows are still fun too watch. Magic is FAKE. Its just fun to do. He does illusions, this is the definition of illusion, something that deceives by producing a false or misleading impression of reality.

But he's not legit like the "magicians" that cut people in half live or make objects appear etc. like a guy we had at our high school who put a woman in a box and then spun it around and took the box apart into pieces and then put it back together and she climbed out

Of course it's not real, it's an illusion. He even has his own show in Vegas. But I'm just saying why he would even try to "levitate" people if he knows it's not going to work.

And many of his 'random participants' are plants.

We are not debating whether or not the show Mindfreak is real or fake, we are discussing hellohihello's question. No, I don't think it is a placebo, because that isn't the exact definition; very close though. I think it is merely your imagination. Just as you can create fuzzy images in your mind, your brain can create the sensation of levitation.

Think of it this way:

While falling asleep, I often play with this mental power. I visualize myself falling through my bed and I can create, to a certain extent, the sensation of falling through my bed. (I am trying to use this sensation to WILD, but I can't reach SP )

Lol, looking back on his episodes, I did notice a shocking similarity between the behaviors of his audience and the plants I have around the house...

Haha brilliant! Lol!

The guy is really full of shit. It's all edits and camera work. There's one thing being an illusionist like greats such as David Copperfield then there's Chris Angel, a man who's main fan base is naive 14 year old girls.

The worst part is the fact that he tried to play if off like it's real. They sometimes make it look like the stunt went wrong followed by horrible acting on his brothers part. Horribly horrific tv. UGH.

I liked the scene in "Mary Poppins" where they all levitate when they laugh, because it recognizes a play on words between levitate and levity.

Dreams are likely to do that as well!

Maybe it was supposed to be a joke?

I saw David Copperfield live last year at the Mohegan Sun Casino, and that was really cool. I enjoyed that a lot. I always wanted to see him perform. I had a seat on the floor and on the aisle, so sometimes he was doing something just a couple of feet from me as he walked through the audience, like one trick with a piece of paper he had an audience member crumple up like you'd crumple a tissue, but this was more like super thin rice paper, crisp, not soft like tissue. He made the ball float and dance over his hand without touching it, and it would move to match the the movement of his finger on his other hand, which was below the hand that the ball of paper was above. Sorry, description is difficult. There were no strings. I was right there next to him. I keep thinking there must be magnets involved or something. He also made a car disappear from the stage, a whole car.

It was fun.

But I think guides and angels and synchronicity and dreams are more fun, and they're more real, and they're likelly to teach you something or help you in some way to grow.

criss angel has said it himself that every trick he has ever performed is all an illusion.
