Oddly enough, yeah, this happens to me.
When I was selling jewelry, we had watches. There are a few people who, for whatever reason, just have a little more electricity in them or something, because no matter what they do, the watches run too fast (even when the watch maker fixes them to go as slow as possible). It's some odd physiological thing, since I'm that way and my dad is too. I can't wear watches.
Most of my electronics break more frequently, as well...it's horrible because it's very costly. I don't treat them badly. The power sources and/or batteries usually just wear out much faster or blow up. Then there are smoke alarms...no matter where I sleep, at my own house, a relative's, close to the ocean, or in the mountains, they go off when I sleep with them. So I just have to rip the batteries out. Sometimes all the ones in the house go off at the same time, including carbon monoxide alarms which doesn't even make sense. I don't know if electronics hate me or I'm just bad luck. But it almost always happens when I'm asleep, so maybe your theory has something to it?
