Unintentional OBEs instead of getting a wild

So I have a problem with doing Wild in the middle of the night/early morning. I'll do the technique and am in SP. Then I find myself being separated from my body and having this OBE. I am in this very dull and dark image of my room, and I can barely move. I usually don't get far before I go back in my body, but this really isn't that fun. Every once in a while, i won't even be attempting wild and this will just happen anyway.
I used to practice trying to astral project and got about this far. Then I stopped months ago, one of the reasons why was so I could pursue lucid dreaming instead. One day I might want to try astral projecting again.
