Your compassionate nature is the natural expression of your Buddha Nature. And compassion doesn't need an object. You don't require pitiful sufferers for an opportunity to be compassionate. You ARE compassion, even when you are alone. Words like meaningless and emptiness and nothingness probably turn you off. It all seems so barren and pointless. Look beyond the words to the juiciness of bliss. Let the word 'Nirvana' roll of your tongue while you close your eyes halfway like the Buddha! Feel the tug in your heart and the yearning for Union with Existence and let go and flow down the river to the Ocean! It is quite meaningful! The Buddha said that Nirvana and Samsara are one. He also said that "even though all things are empty and without any separate independent permanent existence, they still continue to appear continuously!" Even after enlightenment. Nirvana is never ending lucidity! Then you can help others achieve lucidity. The only reason people suffer is because they are not lucid and they think that this reality is so serious.
Dream Yoga is great.
