Healing other people in your dreams

I've read that some people in their LD's can float above their sleeping body and look at it and be in the room they are sleeping in. So if they can maybe leave the building and go to the room where a sick person is sleeping. If maybe the dreamer can enter the sick person's body and remove the sick stuff. What do you think?

It's an interesting idea and it could work. I have been trying to enter someone elses body for a couple of months now with only limited success.

There is no reason for you to leave your body though in your lucid dream. It should be enough to just walk into the room of the sick person and maybe place your hand inside the body near the affected part. I have not had much luck entering another persons body, but I have been able to place my hand within anothers body.

      Who knows, it could work
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

I'm into all sorts of stuff that the general public doesn't really know about or believe or whatever, but I'm pretty sure OBE's (Out of Body Experiance) and LDs are too seperate things. I know they are achieved through different methods and that while doing an OBE you can't distort reality to your liking like you can do in an LD. You float around in the real world, out of your body and you can often travel anywhere in the world and watch what's going on, even effect people by saying their name.

I had an OBE once where I flew to my friends house (it's instant) and said my name 8 or 9 times while I was right beside him. I called him as soon as the OBE stopped and he said he was just thinking of me. Could've been coincidence, but I've read accounts of that happening many times.

The point is, OBE's are completly different from LDs (I think) therefore I would assume that you can't induce an OBE via an LD or using the same method.

I have heard that if you can enter down to the deepest form of conciousness, you can enter into your soul via your brain and its awareness.
I don't know much about it really. But I do know the book that was recommened to me about the subject.
Brandon or Brandy Bays: "The Journey" He is a pretty reliable source, so I suspect it would be a good read.

Even if one were "able" to do things like enter another's body, how would you be able to tell the difference between it being real and it being manifestations of your own subconscious. I'm not convinced that all OBEs are even truly leaving one's body or entering the astral planes, but rather your mind projecting such "realities" onto or "into" itself. I wopuld also think that the brain is complex enough to remember the sensations and experiences of ONE OBE and project those same sensations onto a new scenario, so that you are not ACTUALLY leaving your body, but imagining or THINKING that you are leaving your body...

Well in this case if the person that was sick were to be healed then that would be a pretty good indication of it working.
I feel as you do though, that OBE's are another element of LDs. But I personally will not rule anything out.

OBE's and LDs are scientific terms to describe these types of experiences. Earlier this year I had what you would all term a LD where I was asked to remove negative energy from a woman who had requested my help, which I did. I placed my hands on her face and brought forth what was squatting inside her and talked to it, whatever it was it didn't want to leave. I then placed my hand inside her stomach and pulled it out of her, I saw this energy take shape/ form. Upon waking I saw what I taken from this woman, it stayed in my room and I also felt energy within myself that did not belong which I got rid of. I texted a few acquaintances later that morning regarding the dream I'd had only to find that a friend of mine had shared that exact same dream at the same time, except in her dream she was the one whom the energy was being taken from and upon becoming fully awake she could sense/feel that someone was in the room with her pulling this energy out of her stomach but she couldn't 'see' them but felt she was safe during this process.

You could say the same thing about NDEs too and there is alot of scientific data to fall back on regarding these experiences, if you want to look at medical journals.

Just look for talks by Neurosurgeon Dr. Eben Alexander on NDEs on Youtube as well as ilands (International Association for Near Death Studies) which you find using google search.

I think this kind of subject matter does unsettle people and they need clinical and scientific rationale to feel better about it. The camps of for against are always going to be split on the matter. Having experienced these things for myself I feel differently about them.

Nasir, how did you get rid of the energy that stayed with you in your room after you took it out of that woman?

Also, do you have any tips on how to get rid of any bad energy, that you may sense after you return from your OBE/AP? Or even to prevent it from ever coming back with you?

Hi Gab, when I took the energy from the woman words came to me in my dream and it wasn't a phrase I had heard before. So when back in my room and wanting to get rid of the energy from myself I repeated what I'd remembered from the dream but applied it to myself "This body belongs to me, I cast you out, you do not belong in me. My body is a dessert, a barren landscape; it is closed off to you". I imagine you could change that phrase to suit yourself, the intent would still be the same. I also invoked the help of Archangel Michael, although I'm not particularly religious I'd previously heard he was a good one to call upon in situations like that just depends on your belief system - whatever gives you strength. I said it quite forcefully and put alot of intent into it and could literally feel energy leaving through my hands, head and feet, as I kept on repeating this phrase. Afterwards I got up and smudged my room out with white sage.

Depending on who you talk to room/ house cleansing methods vary, I have an acquaintance who's Native American Indian and I have borrowed techniques from him too - I think it’s basically whatever you’re comfortable with. He goes by the name of Kez Bear or Laughing Bear and you can google his website, Shaman Bear's Drums. I'm a bit of a magpie when it comes to these things, I've also used the 'Smudging and Blessings' Book by Jane Alexander. Another helpful book that has been loaned to me is 'Every day magic' by Cassandra Carter, very helpful and has a really good section on protection and cleansing.

After having these experiences, like you - I wanted to see if other people had similar experiences to my own and wanted to see how they got rid of the energy. I found a very interesting online article titled 'Exorcism and Mental illness (A Contemporary Shamanic Perspective) - By Odette Nightsky', her experience of removing unwanted energy in that instance mirrored my own. That aside it’s a great read. Many years ago I did a healing on a friend, not in a dream and placed crystals and a soapstone on her; at the end of the session the soap stone went jet black (previously it was light blue) what I took from her went into the stone. I found another online article about a man whose mother did alot of exorcisms and all she used was the ‘our father’ prayer and she put the energy that she pulled out of the person into a cup of water and then poured that into the earth.

So I think the phrase doesn't matter as much as the intent behind it, you can take the energy into yourself if it’s in dream state, or if you’re not doing an absent healing the energy can be placed into an focus object like a stone or cup of water.

Nasir, you left out one small piece from this interesting experience: What in your friend did you heal? In other words, was there something wrong with her before that dream that was no longer a problem after that dream? I figure there must have been, and it just got left out.

      Hi nasir77,

thank you so much for your long post. That's some interesting info. I will check out the links and books you recommend.

I have not done anything like this before. Usually before an OBE attempt, I just imagine being protected by white light. I just thought it might come handy to know how to get rid of unwelcomed energy.

      Healing- http://www.dreamviews.com/beyond-dre...cid-dream.html

I have tried this in my lucid. I summoned my aura. Unfortunately, it was in the war zone. I was on the run while summoning and by the time I finished summonig, I was not there where my aura would have been.

Not sure what to think of this healing thing. Robert Waggoner also talks about him successfully healing a friend of his in book Lucid dreaming - gateway to inner self.

Gab, I know you didn't ask me, but there isn't much else going on worth commenting on....I think that if you're in the right place with providence, you're a conduit, and the energy goes through you. The love isn't yours. If providence doesn't agree with what you're trying to do, there's no way to do it that doesn't have bad effects.

What is 'providence' isn't all black or white though, and even if something larger than yourself is acting through you, you can still be fooled. I had an experience with removing 'bad energy' from a woman's abdomen in a dream that had disturbing real life results. I can't say it was the wrong thing to do, or that I could have done differently, but it gives pause for thought. Self - righteousness comes easily to most all of us.

Thank you, that's certainly something to think about.

Btw, I'm not planning on doing anything like healing, or getting myself involved in anything I have no idea about. I have a feeling that it would be intruding on someones privacy, and if we do indeed have guardians, they would not be happy about me sticking my energy hands into someones stomach. But if someone is skilled in this, I'm sure he knows how to ask for permission.

I was just thinking, that IF I end up in OBE/AP unexpectedly, how would I go about cleansing myself, in case of bad vibes or energy afterwards. Just doing my homework.

      Hi Sageous,
It’s not the first time that I’ve shared this type of connection with the same friend.
I didn’t leave anything out in terms of what I mentioned. Everyone’s experience is unique to them. In the dream the woman, who turned out to be my friend, asked for my help to remove her inner demons, which could have been any manner of things and that was how the energy manifested in my dream.
As to whether I healed something that you could quantify which improved her quality of life, she didn’t go into specifics with me. On the morning it happened my friend described what she felt on a physical level only.

Her general health has improved on a small scale and I have noticed some positive changes in her life choices but I’m not going to assume that those are directly linked to what I did; it would be a hard thing to quantify unless you attempted to do a detailed case study on it.
Speaking of which there's an online article on a website called Reality Sandwich, titled 'Lucid Dream Healing Experiences: Firsthand Accounts’, affiliated with E.W. Kellogg Ph.D. , where people have chronicled attempts at healing themselves and others and have specifically targeted an injury or illness, their own and others, makes for interesting reading.
Ed Kellogg has published papers on his work in lucid dreaming and the phenomenology of consciousness among other things. And your right they are interesting experiences, I’m trying to understand them better myself. On Reality Sandwich it includes a link to Ed Kellogg’s body of work if you’re interested.

To be honest Gab I'm not sure what I make of it either, there's a lot of different literature out there on it and everyone has a different opinion about what's right or wrong. People's experiences are different and varied. In the dream I had I was asked specifically by the woman to help her. As I later found out that woman was my friend. She hasn't suffered adversely as result of this experience that I know of, while I found it a little unnerving I managed to remove the energy afterwards. I haven't read Robert Waggoner's book, will check it out. I stumbled across some articles by Ed Kellogg on the same subject matter which was quite interesting. I've read about summoning your aura, haven't tried that yet.
I think ultimately you do what feels right for you.
