      Astral Projection How-TO?

Can someone please explain to me how to astral project or give me a link to a tutorial? I've looked around the site and can't seem to find a tutorial on the subject, just perspectives.

You can go to lucidology.com and download their Lucid Dream/OBE Timer MP3. It is supposed to beep 5 times a minute or so for a set amount of time, after it finishes and your asleap, your brain will be awake be awake, because it is expecting another beep while your body is still asleap, thus-making, you have your first OBE. You can put it on your MP3 or phone or anything whatsoever and put your headphones on while your trying to sleep. Havn't really tried it tho ...

There is no tutorial. I have always wanted to experience this, to form a valid opinion. Maybe someone could post a few helpful methods in this thread?

You're killing me! Why isn't this a link? Copy paste is a lot of work. That second site is just selling stuff, btw.

Sorry. you have to do a bit of work for yourself

Astraldynamics.com does sell some stuff, yes - but it have a good forum and some very good tutorials on OBE. It is the author and "OBE-guru" Robert Bruce's webpage. His book Astraldynamics is considerede one of the bibles of OBE's and you can read the basic stuff from the book on this website. So theres a lot of really good "getting started" tutorials on the subject.

Edit: Did you have that experience?

One thing i read is to enter into sleep paralysis. while there focus on the space between your upper lip and nose, then try a roll out technique.

it's my understanding (& experience) that there is no one method for projection. that's the bad news. the good news is that everything you do to promote AP adds to the likelyhood that you will project. trying different techniques - investing a resonable amount of time practicing each method - will bring you to a tipping point where you will begin to have your own experiences of AP.

Below is a link to a book I recommend. You can read through the whole thing online (might hurt your eyes though) or skip right to the parts you want.

      http://books.google.com/books?id=PId...age&q=&f=false

Unfortunately they omit the parts on exit technique so let me find some different kinds you can try. This e-book has a ton of exit techniques, but they're written by forum members so some will work better than others:

      http://www.scribd.com/doc/4164970/66...ion-Techniques

Here's a good rundown of everything including the rope exit technique:

I tried almost every night for a year - then went on to Lucid dreaming and with much greater succes. Lately I have been having second thoughts about the OUT of body-"thing" as I've had WILDS were I was in what seemed like Real-time-zone.
Lately I have been reading about "Non-physical-matter-reality" as according to Robert Monroe and Thomas Campbell (OBE-pioneers) and to them OBEs became a thing about going to other dimensions via your innerself and not neccesarily going out of your body to experience it. Still while trying to consciously OBE I experienced pulling of my "energybody" while doing the "Rope-exit-technique" and my God did that convince me of the existence of an astral-body/energy-body!

The author of the book, Robert Bruce have also written "Astral Dynamics" and it is the absolute bible of Astral-projection. "Mastering Astral projection" is sort of a 90 days course in AP/OBEs I tried it but didn't have any succes - but as mentioned above I did get some marvelous experiences. If you REALLY want to dig into the theory behind it all then you should get "Astral Dynamics" I always thought that I was pretty close so you might get there... you know... OUT : )

I agree from a practical perspective, doing a WILD and inducing and OBE are essentially identical. How you consider to interpret the experience is up to you.

I had a very similar experience trying to wild.
And entered a very typical lucid.

In my experience there are large differences in OBE & WILD. They may appear similar but when I had OBEs I never confused the two since.

For me it was like the play ground (LD) compared to the Jungle (OBE).

I have and experience shared dreaming regularly. To sum up my experience I would say that thru the way in (LD) I have found that it leads to the way out (OBE)

Reality in LDs tends to change but for me in OBEs there is no break in the time continuum & when I see things in a OBE the environment is stable as are the characters. Not only that they seem to be take place in 3D land as many of my OBEs are verifiable.

Never once in a OBE did I say oh shit there's so and so and say I need to kill them or shapeshift or disappear. These are all things I have done at least once in a LD.

      Happy Trails

I'm trying to have an Astral Pojection since this Monday. The tecnique I'm using is to enter into the Astral plane by a WILD. First, I read something to make me a little sleep, then I lie on my bed face up and stretch my limbs. And then I try to sleep without losing consciousness. When I get to the SP, instead of falling asleep, try to enter the astral plane or have an OBE. So far I've only come to the SP on Monday, but I woke up. I hope little by little I get more experience and ability.
If you, or anyone, want to share experiences, tecniques or advices to get the Astral Projection, send me a private message, I think this way could be very interesting.

      Good luck!

I actually tried LDing through this one LD technique that didn't require waking up or shit.

But, after I got into sleep paralysis I just remember reading about astral projection technique to climb an invisi-rope and I started doing it and I swore I imagined the motions and it was vivid as hell, but, something was messed up about it, if I was climbing a rope I'd feel like I was floating. But, I coulda sworn something grabbed my ankles and started pulling.

Even if WILD and Astral Projection are not the same thing, (which they are ) they certainly are induced in similar ways. Any WILD techniques can be used to induce an OBE if you chose to focus on exiting your body.

      Great Book with Online Course

Just thought i'd let you know I just bought a great book on the subject:-

A Course in Astral Travel and Dreams by Belzebuub. I haven't read a lot of it yet but the reason I bought it was down to the great reviews on Amazon and people seemed to have a lot of success. I'm not totally convinced of the whole Astral Projection thing but the book seems to be pretty down to earth without a lot of the airy fairy waffle and i'm hoping will improve my Lucid Dreaming. Another reason I bought this was because as well as using the book you enrol for free on the website and complete the course online, which i'm hoping will keep my motivation to follow the 9 week course.

      Here's the link:-

      http://www.amazon.com/Course-Astral-...5381605&sr=8-1

      Happy Dreaming!
