Okay flawed logic that took me a second to notice. The future has changed, but how can you prove this because it hasn't happened yet other than with these so called predictions that are flakey and no longer evidence because you changed it (the future).Quote:

I think human nature is being left out of Thundercloud's equation. Humans naturally have insatiable desires. We also don't always look out for one another. And there is no other species on earth that kills each other on such a large scale. And I might catch some flak for this next comment but as for people dying of obesity and starvation, I guess its a good means of population control. If no one starved to death or died from obesity or war or whatever unnatural way, then it wouldn't be long before the earth loses its ability to sustain us.

Hmm. What I found most interesting about this thread so far is the seeming coincidence of choosing the year 2012. That's seven years from this year. Seven years is also the length of the Great Tribulation (as seen in the New Testament) who's signs include great floods, famine, drought, oh and let's not forget a war. Things the original poster asked about. I was just really surprised, having mentioned The Son, in the first post that nobody caught onto that. Was that a total coincidence? I thought for sure that was what Thundercloud was talking about but I had never heard of the final judgments referred to as entering the 5th dimension.
Anyway, did anyone else pick up on the obvious references to "Revelation"?

I must say, I didnt see this post until now and I must say I can only make so much sense out of it. I guess I can sorta figure what this is about..
Its funny because I had a discussion about the Kyoto Protocol today with some people. (there might be a post in this forum on that, exuse me I dont read everything anymore =P). And it basically came down to a simliar something aswell. Are we humans dooming ourselves by 'destroying' the planet and is everything lost. Or, is there still enough hope and will we survive. (at least for alot longer).
Its so funny how people always long for utopia, while at the same time most people dont realize that utopia could actually be achieved if we really wanted to. (sadly, most humans are not willing to sacrifice).
Besides that, I do think there is still hope. We are not an evil, greedy, egocentric race by nature I think. I personally tend to believe more to innate goodness(being a buddhist) but chances are good that we are neither good nor evil by nature and could go into any direction.
I honestly believe that one day things will be different, non of us will be here, but I do. Perhaps you would call me idealistic or too optismistic but I do. Perhaps it will require some great event too shake the inner goodness awake. I mean, look at it. When the Asia Tsunami came and destroyed suddenly everybody greatly cared and even those that normally didnt even look donated and felt for the victims. And still, continously people try to help out, it stirred up the inner compassion of humans. I do not hope it will take something ten times greater then the Tsunami to show us how we should really live. Caring for one another, our hearts filled with compassion and kindness. Regardless of race, background or religion.
As for polution (as I was talking about Kyoto) and the like. We will ultimately be forced to change our ways. Look at the oil reserves, they are not too big anymore. this is something that concerns our lifetimes aswell. There is so much to talk about when it comes to that..but I already did enough of that during my Kyoto debate. X_X
Right now, you might think Im being unrealistic. But hope I wont give up. What if everybody just gave up hope? Now then we would never achieve any kind of better situation. So I encourage everybody that still has hope to keep up hope, and never give up. It may be beyond our time, but perhaps one day..
its just a calender people, thats all.
but you do have every right to worry about human nature. we are intelligent, but heirarchal. which is the cause and solution of all our problems(thanks homer).

there are 4 extended seasons or yugas of which we are in the kali yuga, the age of quarrel and hypocrisy.This yuga lasts 432000 years of which 5000 have passed. So called civilisations will be destroyed over and over again by natural catastrophies and wars during this time.The earth will withdraw her resources. At the end of kali yuga comes satya yuga, when the earth will remanifest her heavenly beauty. Mangoes will be the size of basketballs, then dvapara then treta, the 4 yugas rotate and together make one catur yuga of which there are 100 in a sahasra which lasts about 8 billion years.
So this seemingly unsettled period of the planet happens many many times, just like the leaves fall in autumn and the flowers bloom in spring time and time again.
Internally man has now got a fantastic oppurtunity to realise his divine consciousness or if he chooses he can sink further into maya or deep illusion...

Is everyone aware that 2012 is the end of the Mayan calendar (or is it 2011)? The 5th dimension? I always assumed there were many more. String theory points to at least seven.
