      Mommy's pre-cog? dream

I'm not really one to post other's dreams but my mom called me the other day b/c she knows I study dreams, to tell me about this weird experience she had.

She woke up in terror that morning from a nightmare she had about my sister (who is 22 but in the dream she was a little child again). Mom dreamed my sister was paralyzed and she kept saying her name and trying to talk to her but she couldn't move or speak. This really chilled her for some reason and she couldn't go back to sleep. She called my sister around 9:30 to tell her about the dream and my sister was like, "oh my god that is so freaky". Because my sister had just come from the doctor for her back problems who told her she would need 2 epidural shots (which if you don't know, are spinal shots that could cause paralysis if done incorrectly). After hanging up with her my mom went to the bathroom and threw up. she called me b/c she is very worried the dream could be an omen that my sis shouldn't have the shots done. She asked me if she should ask my sister not to have them done even though the doctors says it will really help her. I didn't have any idea what to tell her, and now I'm scared she will have the shots and maybe become paralyzed!

      Thoughts?

Well, I can understand that it might be disturbing, but pre-cog is often junk. When it isn't, it's almost always just good instinct and compilation of available data. Did your mom know about the epidural shots? If so, it could have triggered the dreams. If not, coincidence shouldn't be ruled out. Just don't panic over a dream.

No, she didn't even know my sister was going to the doctor. That's why we are freaked! Otherwise I would say coincidence like usual....
