      What was this? An OBE?

Last night I lied still and tried to still my thoughts. During this time of me being awake(between 1-2 hours) I felt my limbs getting numb and a bit lighter. Then I felt my hands rising, but I know that they didn't since my hand was under the pillow. I felt the same for my legs, but it was not as strong. Time to time, the hand would rise and then go down, then rise again. I tried to control this and I'd say I was fairly successful(knowing that I had no idea what to do). After some time I was curious to what the time was so i opened my eyes and it was 1:30! .I decided I needed to go to sleep and so I moved and went to bed regularly.

My question is is what was this feeling? An OBE? And why did it take me so freakin long to go to sleep or why it kept me aware? I went to bed at about 11:30. If this is an OBE or whatever, How would I make it so I make it that my whole body feels this numbing/rising? What was I supposed to do next?. Thanks for asking my n00bish questions

BTW if it helps, I was sleeping on my stomach.

i get tis feeling every night sometimes i only get the numb/lightnes feeling up to my waist. its hard for me to concentrate some night (random thoughts and pictures) you know when your eyes are closed? and they tell you to roll your eyes in the back of your head to look at your third eye? well i tried looking down when my eyes were closed i found it much easier to start to OBE.

p.s. did you ever hear a noise someone made (in the real world) while you were obe it kinda freaks me out, kinda shocks me

Ill try looking down next time I attempt OBE or when Im more experienced at Lucid dreaming. I haven't had an OBE so i wouldnt know, but hearing noise in the middle of the night scares me and startles me aswell.
