    1. Dreamviews, and An Epic Quest

      by , 01-17-2011 at 04:40 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
Took 100mg of B6 before I went to bed last night, then another 100mg during WBTB. I also decided to do my self-hypnosis technique, but that didn't work out very well when my cat kept stepping on me every five minutes.

      1- Dreamviews of the Future
((Note: this was a very abstract dream and most of it is really difficult to put into words.))
Dreamviews is a physical place; I am exploring all of their new "features." I walk past a long line of people carrying musical instruments, whom I discover are all trying out for the new Dreamviews Marching Band.

Next, I am looking at some dream journals. Each journal is it's respective member's private home, or inner sanctuary. I visit at mine first and am somewhat disturbed to find a long and very explicit dream written out for all the world to see. Why would I post that in such detail?

I think of where I want to go next. I have been talking to Alice (from Resident Evil), and we have grown to be pretty close friends. So I decide to see what her journal is like. I should have known; entrance to her journal is painful and treacherous, as it is guarded by an imposing mound of thorns. Her "inner sanctuary" is more like an internal Hell, imprisoning her within her own dark thoughts. Poor Alice... I want to comfort her, but she resides in the very core of this prison. The dream ends as I am working my way towards her.

      2- Saved by the Goddess
My getaway will be simple. Ditch these clothes, change into the ones left over by those imbeciles, and escape through the window. I have thought of everything; except, however, drawing the shades. One of the Emperor's cronies has spied me from the open window and has called for backup. My means of escape has quickly become my downfall.

I leap out the window anyway, and break into a run. There is still a chance I can get away, though now it will be far more difficult.

I make it as far as the road, a dry stretch of unpaved dirt, before I am surrounded. The Emperor and his men have me covered on three sides; the Dark Forest, brimming with werewolves and other man-eating atrocities, stands imposingly to my remaining side. They do not expect me to risk such a fate.

An Elven girl a few years my elder, one who I used to call Sister, grabs my arm and secures a handcuff around one wrist. "Come quietly, Princess. There is no way out." Before she can cuff my other wrist, I kick her roughly away, dodge around the Emperor's men, and take off into the forest. They dare not follow, but they don't need to. Almost immediately I am faced with a Hunter; a soul-sucking once human that reeks of fear and decay. One of the Emperor's favorite pets. He actually sent the Hunters after me? I don't know whether to be hurt or flattered.

Rather than have my soul taken, I quickly dart back to the edge of the forest where the trees are less dense. Hunters, along with all the other forms of Demon-spawn, would burn in this light. However, it also means that I am once more vulnerable to the soldiers...

To my amazement, a voice in by head booms, "Stay behind me!" Suddenly a large brown creature is running in front of me, which I recognize instantly as one of the envoys of the gods. I follow him without hesitation as he guides me through the treacherous forest. The sound of the soldiers' bewilderment from the forest's edge makes me smirk.

One out of the forest, I am met with one of my comrades at the outskirts of an old town. It is nighttime now, and avoiding the Demon-spawn will be more difficult. The envoy wishes me luck and is gone.

As soon as he disappears, we are attacked by a small shadow creature. A church is nearby, emitting light from it's stained glass windows. I throw the creature into the light, but it merely cackles. "That won't work on meeee!" it screeches. "I am not a mere shade! HE gave birth to me from his very flesh!" The creature flies directly at my face. I hold it back as my companion opens a vortex in the ground, which makes quick work of the enemy.

"We need to get inside," I instruct. But as soon as we enter the church, we are met by something potentially more dangerous than shadow creatures: crazed religious fanatics.

"Witches!" the ladies cry. "Burn them! Kill the witches!"

"Wait!" I protest. "We just want shelter here, same as you."

The ladies continue with their cries of death and burning until the oldest of them calls them to silence. She looks at my friend and I knowingly and points to the wall. "What does it say?" she asks me.

A single, three letter word is etched into the wall. Her. I repeat the word with some amusement. This church was once a temple to the Goddess. How ironic.

The lady details a story in which Merinia, an earth Goddess, was kidnapped and taken prisoner by the Demon King. Her power could easily have defeated the demons, if only she'd had her staff. The sacred object, however, had been stolen from her and lost somewhere in the world.

I stare at the lady in shock as she hands me a beautiful, intricately carved staff. "Is this...?" She nods.

      "Save her," she tells me.

I exit the temple/church. Demon-spawn emerge from the ground almost instantly, but the incredibly power of Merinia's staff kills them all with a single blow. I am in awe.

Time passes. I have rescued the Goddess (though, it's more like She rescued me), and am now celebrating with my friends.

((Note: I don't think the name in the dream was given as Merinia. I know it started with an M, but I couldn't find an actual earth based goddess with a similar name, and since I couldn't remember it I had to make one up.))
    2. A Night of Adventure

      by , 01-10-2011 at 09:43 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
Had a pretty epic night; I was almost sad for it to end.

      1- Crystalline Fields
I awaken to find a three foot layer of solid, clear ice covering the ground. Inexplicable towers of ice jut up into the sky, some of them formed around entire trees. In the predawn light, the scene looks incredibly beautiful and surreal. It is fairly clear, however, that travel will be impossible for the next few days, if not longer.

((Sometime after the ice dream, I experience strong HI of myself and the Queen, who I was referring to as Stephanie, having a conversation. I do not recall what we spoke of, but I remember feeling somewhat disturbed. Interesting...))

      2- Dreams are Truth
Lucid, though I do not recall how, and speaking to some sort of oracle about my dreams. He says that there is a truth my dreams that I must deal with. I feel a great sense of despair and horror. Though I try to deny it, I know which dreams the oracle speaks of. I do not let my mind fully wrap around a certain memory... ((This dream is really vague now, but it was Leroy and the Queen who I was trying not to think about. I'm not sure why I was so concerned. In reality, I'm glad that they seem to be cropping up again. I've missed them both, despite our love/hate relationship. Of course, I do find it disturbing that they seem to have been my parents, if that other dream had any truth to it. Ick...))

3- Harry Potter and the Forbidden Codex
I have been charged by Dumbledore to be the keeper of some very important scrolls, called the Codex, which seem to be entries from a certain adventurer's personal journal. (Interesting, since a codex is the opposite of a scroll.) I am supposed to be studying these entries and trying to gain knowledge from them, but doing so is nearly impossible when Voldemort is constantly trying to steal them from me. He even disguises himself as Dumbledore, but becomes angry and attacks me when I see right through his disguise.

((At some point during our battle, I wake up and manage to re-enter the dream.))

I am surrounded and completely outnumbered; plus I learn that Voldemort has captured Dumbledore and is holding him prisoner. Our only hope is for me to return to Hogwarts. Fortunately, Dobby appears and apparates us there just as Voldy's henchmen come in for the finishing blow.

Once at the school, I track down Ron and Hermione. ((I don't know how I know them. I am myself in the dream, but we seem to be friends.)) They accompany me as we travel deep into the bowels of the school in hopes of rescuing our Headmaster. Vicious beasts attack us along the way; one of them is a large cross between a wolf and a bat. Fighting it takes up nearly all of our energy, and we are dismayed to see another, scarier creature replace it almost immediately. ((This whole thing may sound silly, but believe me, it was really intense.))

As if things couldn't get any worse, Voldemort's henchmen show up and change both of my companions into big worms, and paralyze me. However, as soon as they leave, we go back to normal. Why didn't they kill us? I realize that one of them must be a mole, secretly working for Dumbledore. If we can just get to Voldemort, we'd be able to kill him for sure.

Finally I find Voldemort. The mole dispatches the other henchmen, while I cast a spell on Voldemort that renders him the scared, insecure child within his soul. He then transforms into a gray blob that bears a somewhat fruity personality. I think I preferred his evil side...

      4- Hungry Cats
As I am feeding Sadie, I realize that I have a whole bunch of cats outside that I haven't fed in nearly a month! This prompts me to RC, and I become lucid. "I should wake myself up and feed those cats as soon as possible!" I say to Sadie, but then I remember that that's against the rules. "They'll be there when I wake up, if they even exist," I assure myself. ((I hate false memories. I only own one cat.))

I can't stop worrying about my "poor, starving kitties," so I decide to go outside and see if they are in the dream world. Sure enough, a pack of wild looking cats are living in the woods at the edge of my back yard. There are dozens of them, and kittens, too!

I call their leader over to me, and ask how they've been doing. "It's a rough world," she says, "But we're surviving."

I apologize profusely for forgetting about them and promise to bring them some food when I wake up. "I WOULD do it now, but since this is a dream that would be sort of pointless."

No dream goals pop out at me, so I decide to go on a walk. There are now a few people from school walking with me, but I ignore them as I think once more of Leroy and the Queen. I wonder if I should try to find them...

My thoughts are interrupted as I come to a fork in the road that was never there before. Should be interesting to see where this goes. But it isn't long before a sports car with a crazed driver comes hurdling towards me. I grin and stand my ground, jumping at the last second and running along the top of the car with one swift step. I land and the car speeds on down the road.

This happens several more times, and then guys with REALLY strange looking chainsaws show up. I understand that this is a sort of sport; the guys try to kill me with the chainsaws, and I have to use only my feet to survive.

This proves to be exceptionally fun! It's really the same concept as the cars; I simply jump into the air and kick my foot down hard upon the chainsaw, knocking it and its user into the ground. At one point, my shoe becomes a chainsaw ((like Giriko from Soul Eater)) which further enables me to squash my opponents. "I wonder why they don't have a game like this in real life..."

      5- More Hungry Cats
I "wake up" and RC, but it fails. Good, now I can go feed those cats! When I get to the place where the cats should be, I notice a lot of food scattered around on the ground. What the...? Annoyed to think that I'm wasting time yet again, I RC once more and become lucid. "This is getting on my nerves. Do I even own these cats?" I really feel like I do, but I tell myself that I can't be sure. After all, I thought I'd owned that horse, too, and THAT had only led to nearly getting my leg bit off by a feral goat. So no sense in getting worked up about a few cats who may or may not exist.

As I am thinking this over, a cute little puppy wanders over to me. He begins talking about how he ran away from his family, because he hated his uncle, who was the Alpha. At that point, my dogs Fred and Bessie walk up. The puppy worries that Fred is his uncle, but when he sees otherwise he gets "violent" and says he will prove his strength and kill Fred. I tell Fred to go easy on him.

But the puppy chickens out at the last second and rolls over on his back in a sign of submission.

((At that point, I wake up for real and find that we have about a foot of snow!))
    3. Royal Manipulation

      by , 01-08-2011 at 02:56 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
      1/6/11

      1- Royal Manipulation
I am the daughter of the White Queen and the Red King. My mother is preparing for some sort of event that we are hosting, and she's trying to help me pick out a dress. I hate dresses, I think to myself with annoyance, but I have to play the part of the "good little Princess." No one will ever suspect what I'm REALLY up to.

After a lot of hassle, I manage to find a suitable dress for the event. My mother is wearing a dress so white that it practically hurts my eyes, and my father is wearing his usual red and black attire.

There is a lapse in time; the event is over, and I am watching a live video feed from a hidden camera I have installed in my mother's private chambers. She is cheating on my father with another man. "Perfect," I mutter to myself, grinning evilly. I "accidentally" leave the video out for anyone to get ahold of.

A bit later I find my mother walking down a hallway, and I quickly catch up to her. "Everyone knows what you've been doing," I say to her urgently. "If you don't come up with something quickly, you might have to abdicate the throne."

"Don't worry," she assures me. "I've already set my plan into action."

Her plan was a good one. She came up with a way to make my father look bad; bad enough to overshadow her infidelity. He is banished from the Kingdom and told never to return. I manage to locate him fairly quickly. "You've got to go into hiding," I tell him. "If they catch you back in the Kingdom, they'll kill you." I spend the rest of the dream leading him to the "perfect hiding place."

((Good grief. If this is what happened with Leroy and the Queen, it's no wonder they always try to kill me. ))

    4. In Night's Lair

      by , 01-03-2011 at 11:44 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
      12/19/10

      In Night's Lair
I manage to get on the bad side of a dark King, and am suffering the consequences. Due to the influence of the King's creepy shadow creatures, my cat gets trampled by a mob of hysteric civilians. Fortunately, I manage to get them off of her with minimal damage.

She is, however, injured. From the looks of the way she's limping, I think her hip is broken. I tell my dad that we should get her to the vet immediately. She disagrees. First she points out that it's only her paw, not her hip, and that she can wait until I am out of danger. (I do not find it a bit odd that she's speaking; I seem to think that it's quite normal.) I don't have time to object, as I'm suddenly whisked away to the Null Chamber. (Obviously I play too much zOMG.)

A lot of people on my friend's list are there for some reason; one of them has screwed something up and gotten us all stuck. Somehow they all manage to teleport out, leaving me unable to do so. Hmph.

I don't fancy being stuck in the Null Chamber for the rest of my life, so I begin looking for an alternate means back out. Finally I find a secret door, which leads me into the Realm of Shadows; a place I definitely do not need to be in.

Sure enough, the King's shadow creatures are there, very aware of my presence. After a fairly short chase, they've got me cornered. I am perched atop some tall bookshelves, with nowhere to go. A very tall, very fat, very strong creepzoid approaches, smirking at me evilly. I had gotten him in trouble with the King towards the beginning of the dream; it is obvious he is about to get his revenge.

Then, out of nowhere, I am grabbed by the wrist and jerked into another dimension. I see, much to my surprise, that my rescuer is the Queen. (Though not MY Queen...) We are running up a staircase, our haste tinged with desperation. I realize that we are in the Castle. Couldn't she have brought me to a safer place than this???

She practically throws me into her private chambers and tells me that she'll be back as soon as she can. Then she shuts the door, and I am alone. I immediately begin searching for a hiding place. I see that she has a door to the Null Chamber in her closet; that will probably be my best bet if the King comes searching.

As I am crawling around, looking for other suitable hiding places, I see that I am being watched by one of the maids. How did she get in here without me noticing!? "Please," I say, but I can see the hunger in her eyes. She knows she will be rewarded greatly for alerting the King to my whereabouts.

She runs out of the room. I am now watching a cut scene of the Queen running frantically back to her room, trying to reach me before the King does. As I watch, I note true concern in her face and I wonder why she cares so much. I can hear the King's voice close behind her, saying that it's about time he got another queen.

Everyone bursts into the room all at once. There is no point in hiding; I will stand and fight honorably, even though the odds are stacked against me.

    5. My Anti-Social Dream Guide

      by , 06-17-2010 at 01:24 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
Sometimes, my dream guide really irks me. But yay, lucidity!

      1- Scary Lucidity
I am listening to a song on my mp3 player that was written by someone on MM. It's very creepy... Makes me think of Alice in Wonderland. Eventually I get tired and turn it off, intending to go to bed. As soon as I lay down, the song starts playing. Ugh, not THIS song again. Wait, didn't I take my earbuds out already? I sit up and RC. Lucid!

Suddenly it is very dark in my room. I vaguely think about lights, but I cannot focus enough to make the darkness go away. An aura of fear, of pure terror, weighs down the air, making it somewhat difficult to breathe.

Annoyed, I walk to the center of my room and stand perfectly still. I picture what I will do to any attacker, even Leroy (who I know is behind this), for coming to me in such darkness with the obvious intent to scare me. But it's just so freaking dark, I can't hold the dream together.
      FA

((Note: I know it was Leroy, because fear is his "energy signature." Why he has to be so anti-social, I don't know.))

      2- A Dream of Wakefulness
I am in MM chat, telling everyone about the lucid dream I just had. Moonbeam tells me that the person who wrote that song is banned from MM, because he stole our "void game." I am appalled. How dare he!?

Later, I am a guy wandering around a college campus. I hear a "Hey, you," behind me and turn around. A girl is standing in the doorway, looking at me. "The manager told me to look for a Junior, and you're the only Junior around here. Even though you look more like 17 than 20. If you want to join our ranks, go meet Nelson by the band house."
((This is pretty much an exact quote of what she said, as I woke up afterwards and wrote it down as quickly as possible.))

      3- Alice in Dreamland
I am cleaning out my grandmother's house; apparently she's moving. We fight all sorts of strange things in there, my favorite being some type of primitive war machine. It is a cart, with a catapult attached to one side, a removable spiky club attached to the other side, and spikes in the front. Useful for both long ranged attacks and ramming into enemies.

Later, I am no longer myself, but a girl named Alice. I am standing in a graveyard with friends, sanctifying the grave of our deceased friend, Whisper. I say a spell which animates the concrete Angel used as her gravemarker. It now has her spirit. She thanks me, and offers to help in times of need.

I am following some weird storyline as I wander further into the graveyard, away from my friends. A narrator says I will get attacked by the thugs who are after me, and my friends won't be able to hear my cries for help. The rational part of me realizes that I could leave now before the thugs find me, but this Alice part of me isn't aware of my future predicament.

I see my (Alice's) father walk around the side of the church.

Rational me: *gasp* My father has something to do with those thugs!

Alice: Hm, I wonder where he's going?

As I sneak closer, I spot the thugs loading some things into a car. Too late to hide: the short fat one has spotted me! I run, and he give chase. How can he run so fast!? I see my friends over the hill, leaving the cemetery. As predicted, they cannot hear me calling to them.

Suddenly another of the thugs is standing in my path. This one, however, I know to be friendly. "Alice!" he cries out as I collide into him. He catches me and holds me with my back against his chest.

"Being... chased..." I pant. Shorty walks up to us.

"Neil! Good, you got 'er! Let's take 'er to the boss!"

Neil doesn't move; I can tell he's debating with himself about what to do. Set me free, or follow orders? Right now, I don't really care which one he decides. I know that he'll save me eventually, if not now. Besides, I'm feeling very comfortable in his arms... "Neil, what are you waiting for?" Shorty growls impatiently.

Neil suddenly lets me go and puts himself between me and the other thug. "Go! Run!" I don't want to leave him, but I must follow the storyline.

"Thank you," I say, taking off down the sidewalk. I think I am going to get away, but at the intersection I am intercepted by another thug, who looks like Fabio. Damn it! Neil got in trouble for nothing!
((At this point, my mom's phone goes off, waking me. No fair... I was going to end up having a romance with Neil...))
    6. I Need to get Curtains

      by , 06-14-2010 at 07:38 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
During most of the night, I had terrible recall. Only 2 dreams remembered by 6:30. I can very rarely get back to sleep once light starts showing through my window, even IF I put my sleep mask on, but this time I was lucky.

      1- Midnight Tragedy
A wolf... wandering through the forest. "Pain is pain, but one step out of Hell is alleviating. The wolf's war had never been closer." He grants a big dog sentience to ask it a question, just after the poor thing gets chopped in half. It is still alive, writhing in a pool of it's own blood. But the wolf doesn't care about the other animal's pain. He just wants answers.

2- Wanderlust and Surprisingly Good Excuses
Chris and I are walking down a path through the forest. I stumble upon the biggest deer antler I have ever seen: it's about the size of my own body, if not bigger. I want to take it with me, but Chris refuses to help. I end up dragging it behind me by myself.

Later, I am no longer myself. I am a Princess, walking through a beautiful meadow with my sister, my guards, and one of our suitors. (Who is a Prince from a faraway land.) We reach the end of the meadow... the edge of the woods. My sister sends all the guards and the Prince away. One of the guards doesn't want to leave us, but the Prince says that they all must obey any command we give.

"We have to hurry, or Mother will find out that we're here by ourselves." As soon as I utter the words, my phone rings. It's our mother. She begins telling me something about Chris coming to the place she works to teach everyone martial arts."

"That's great," I say, not really paying attention. "I have to go now. Love you, bye!"

Time passes. I am riding in a limo with my sister when we get attacked by vampires. Even worse, our mom has somehow found out about us being off in the woods! I managed to get our vampire attack on video, and I use this as an excuse for why we were in the woods by ourselves.

      3- Mirrors Hate Me (WILD)
((As I enter SP, it feels as though I'm being drug across carpet. "Oh no, it's the carpet monster!" I think to myself jokingly, waiting for it to stop. Finally the sliding ends, and I feel a shift.)) Okay, I'm in a dream. But I still can't see. Should I open my eyes, or try to see through them? I open them. I now see that I'm lying facedown on the floor, at my grandparent's house. Weird that I ended up here. I give the dream a moment to put itself together, as it looks... fleeting. Once the clarity increases, I stand up and begin to rub my hands together.

I just so happen to look in the mirror as I am doing this. My reflection is EVIL. She is clapping her hands, rather than rubbing them, and laughing like a demon. Her eyes are filled with darkness... "Holy crap, that's freaky," I think, though I am more amused than creeped out. Suddenly my reflection hits me with a jolt of dark energy and I collapse to the floor,
      waking up.

      4- Restless (DEILD)
((I DEILD back into the dream.)) "Okay, no mirrors this time." I pick myself up off the floor where I had fallen and make sure to keep my eyes averted from any reflective surface. There's really no reason for me to be in this house, anyway. I'm going out.

Outside, I ponder over what to do. I should go to my training grounds, but... Out loud, I say, "I want to find Man of Shred or Waking Nomad and see if I can learn anything about shared dreaming." I fly to the top of the house, intending to go to the moon. But...

      5- A Lousy Attempt (FA)
...I "wake up." Fine, I'll just DEILD again. I'm already halfway into sleep paralysis, anyway. The only problem is, every time the vibrations start getting intense, my hip feels as if it's dislocating. I can't stop myself: I grab it in pain and get out of SP. I tell myself it's only an illusion, that I am experiencing HI. I am talking to someone who is in the room with me, so I really don't see how I didn't think to RC.

      6- More Vampires
I am walking into a vampire restaurant with some people who I'm traveling with. A lady in the doorway takes a snap at me; I merely roll my eyes and keep walking. I watch people as I walk toward the counter. One of the waiters is asking a couple of kids who they are. "Vampires," they answer at the same time. I realize this must be a password for something. "Oh, you must be part of Sadalgo's lot."

I tune them out and order a doctor pepper. I'm hoping they don't add blood to it, like they are for everyone else. "How can she be in here, eating with us?" I hear a voice say. The whispering starts. I see a man glance over to me every so often as he has a hushed conversation on his cell phone. Trouble is coming.

"They're talking about ME," I whisper to my comrades.

      "I know."

Outside, I get attacked by that same vampire lady and her slightly chubby male friend. I chase her off and take the guy captive. I have to literally sit on him to keep him him from getting away. I can't let him up until we get the signal that our weapons are ready. At one point, a cute little puppy walks up and starts licking the vampire man in the face. I laugh, enjoying his discomfort.

As soon as we get the signal, more vampires arrive; the battle has begun. I have a weird hand gun that I try shooting, but it doesn't work worth a flip. Annoyed, I throw it to the ground. THIS is why I prefer swords! I run off to the forest, planning to cut off the vampires' reinforcements.
Becoming lucid, I pick up a long piece of tree bark and decide to turn it into the Deathcat. One of the vampires attacks me with a huge battle axe. I raise my sword to block, but... "What the heck? It's still a piece of bark!"

I dodge out of the way and draw the Deathcat from my sword belt. I can feel it in my hand, but it seems to be invisible. Oh well, it's still sharp. I parry the vampires next blow, then chop off his weapon arm. Unfortunately, he's wearing so much armor that I can't finish him off.

I am standing in front of a cemetery, talking to the Queen. Some of the graves are walking around, talking to the other graves. One of them looks like a small, long-necked dinosaur. The Queen warns me not to get too close, because some of the graves aren't yet resigned to their fate and may be aggressive.

Next to us is an enormous shelf filled with countless cards. On each card is a name. The Queen explains that this is an index of everyone in the entire kingdom. She says she must draw six cards for execution. "Wait a minute," I say, "how many people did you execute last time?"

"Six," she replies. "And six before that, too." ((I didn't realize the number reference until I woke up.))

"So you're just executing six RANDOM people for your own pleasure!?"

"Yeah... That's how we choose people for jury duty, too."

A bit later, I come back to find that the card system is gone. She... got rid of it because of me?

      *lapse in memory*

I return to the kingdom a while later, confused about how long I've been gone. Also, this seems to be a computer game... I get a picture from my friend Goldenwolf of a purple T-Rex. It's cute, but definitely not up to par with her real talent. We meet up and explore the world together. To start with, we're on a beach, and I find some cool looking coins in the sand. One of them has a unicorn on it, which is Goldy's familiar in the game. She says that her unicorn was the one who minted this coin.

After coming out of a toy store, I tell her that I have to pay a visit to the castle. "Okay," she says, "see you later."

At the castle, the Queen is waiting to greet me. "Sarah!" she exclaims in delight, hugging me.

"Um, I wanted to thank you," I say to her, a bit awkwardly.

      "Thank me?"

"For getting rid of the card system."

"Oh, that... Well, I didn't want you to be unhappy." She leads me into a back room, instructing me to stand on a ledge in front of a curtain. She warns me not to step backwards, because the *unremembered word* is behind the curtain. I'd had a bad encounter with this stuff earlier and don't want a repeat experience, so I watch my footing.

The Queen pulls back the curtain, revealing a tub filled with tar-like swirling liquid. An evil voice is coming from it, from the very depths of Hell, telling of events yet to come. After a while, the Queen closes the curtain. Her body has now swollen up like a balloon, a temporary effect of the *unremembered word*. She can't even stand!

My fingers are suffering the same abnormality, but this seems to be my only side effect. I know for a fact she bathes in this stuff, much to my disapproval, so I assume this is why she is in much worse condition than I am.

She asks me if I'll help her move a refrigerator, and I say that I will. I walk out of the room. When she comes out, she is once again her slender self. "We have to wait for my fingers," I say, watching as they slowly shrink back to normal size.

"Why did you gaze into the *unremembered word* with me?" She asks abruptly.

"Because you told me to," at her almost sad look, I add, "...and because I wanted to see what would happen."

She smiles at me, but it doesn't reach her eyes. "You know, you could be Queen if you wanted to." At these words, my real life comes to me in a rush. My name... the Queen... Leroy... regicide... Could I really take her place?

"I don't know if I could," I answer, thinking of how stressed she looks. Still, the idea is intriguing.

"The last person who was in your position had his head permanently shrunken three times smaller than it's normal size. Only your fingers were affected, and they're better now. You're a natural."

Paranoid, I feel my head. "Oh God, it feels smaller!" <<partially joking, partially being a hypochondriac

The Queen glances down and mumbles quietly, "There is no God here..."

I want to say something, but I cannot think of a good response to that.

1- Blood, Gore, and the Dinosaur
The dream begins at a church, where I am attending the funeral of someone I don't know with my family. One of the ladies is supposed to sing a solo in honor of the deceased, but the people in charge of the music accidentally play a really joyful, upbeat song which makes everybody laugh and ruins the melancholy mood.

I find a lot of money in the pew, which leads me to believe I may be dreaming. Although my nose-pinch reality check fails, I still have my suspicions...

Later, I go to the bathroom and start coughing up blood. It's not coming from my lungs, though; it's more like a reverse nose bleed. I'm beginning to fear that I'll drown, because there's just SO MUCH of it. (And let me tell you, it looked, felt, and tasted completely real.) Alarmed, I leave the bathroom to tell my parents... only to discover that I'm completely naked. "Okay, I HAVE to be dreaming," I say to myself and do another RC.
This time it works, and I am officially lucid.

I immediately remember that I MUST speak with Leroy, so I try to summon him. Instead, I am greeted by a Lady who is dressed in White. She tells me that she's wounded, and that I need to kill the creature that's chasing her while she heals herself. I try to explain that I don't have the time, that I'm looking for someone important. Apparently I don't have an option. The creature chooses that moment to burst into the room and start attacking us. Weaponless, I am barely able to defend myself as the Lady bolts from the room, telling me to let her know when it was dead.

This is not an easy beast to slay. Our battle carries over outside, where the Lady is watching. She is "encouraging" me to kill it, asserting that she hasn't much time to waste. Finally, I grow spikes from my shoes and stomp on the creature again and again, grinding my heal and mutilating it beyond repair. It's still making noises, though, which worries me.

"Is it really dead?" I ask the Lady anxiously.

"It doesn't matter, we have to keep going."

"You don't understand. I can't help you anymore, I have to look for Leroy."

"Leroy..." she murmurs vaguely, "I think I know him."

I ask if she can help me find him, but she insists that she has to overcome everything that's after her in order to become immortal. Just then, we encounter one of these "things" and are forced to fight again. This time she's a bit more help, although now I have no real memory of the incident.

Afterwards, I am now armed with a butcher knife (the square-ish kind) as we take shelter in a rotting tree house. The walls are set up to only be high enough to prevent you from falling out, so there's about four feet of space between the walls and the roof. I am about to ask her what we have to fight next, when I see a HUGE T-Rex charging straight towards us.

"You've got to be joking! How the hell do you expect me to fight a dinosaur!?" I obviously have no other choice, however. As the T-Rex (who, according to my "comrade," is named Leo) growls loudly and says something in a deep, angry voice about how us "cave people" took over the world. Resigning myself to the fact that I'd have to fight to live, I quickly rush the dino and slash at him with my knife. His tough hide prevents any damage from being done. Leo slashes my arm open, and I am forced to back up against the opposite wall.

I begin kicking the walls out to secure an escape route if the situation called for it, though I don't plan on retreating. I cannot describe how intense this situation is at the time; it lasts for quite a while, and I am cursing up a storm as I attempt to fight this gargantuan lizard. My companion temporarily dies at one point, leaving me to fend for myself. (Not that she was much help in the first place.)

Somewhere along the line, the dinosaur is replaced by a crazy lady who, of course, is bent on killing me. For the moment, however, she is forcing me to dance with her as she describes in vivid detail how she's going to kill me. (We're in a kitchen, though I don't remember how we got there.) As we dance close to the counter, I attempt to grab a knife behind her back... but miss and get a fork instead. On my second try, I succeed in acquiring the knife, but she notices and throws me backwards. Fed up, I charge toward her and stab her repeatedly (and somewhat psychotically) in the stomach until she dies.

Her blood is really warm, almost hot, and my hands are slick with it. The Lady in White comes back as I am attempting to clean up the crimson mess. "Good job," she tells me. After I get all the blood off my hands, I brandish my knife and manage to transform it into a razor sharp sword. I slash through the air a few times to test it, then turn to the Lady.

"Are we done yet?" I ask her.

"Not quite. First we have to make it through the Zombie Apocalypse."

"WHAT!? How long is THAT going to take?"

      "Only about three hours."

"Three hours! I just fought a dinosaur! Can't I rest first?" That question is answered by the sound of approaching zombies. Cursing, I quickly follow the Lady into a creepy looking abandoned building, but
the dream ends before I can fight anything else.

      1- Gary (fragment)
Somehow a naked picture of Gary from Pokemon has found it's way onto my laptop, and no matter what I do I cannot get rid of it. I am commenting to someone that it's not even a good picture of him. ((Weird, considering that not only has it been ages since I've seen Pokemon, but I never liked Gary in the first place.))

2- The Evil Virus of Doom
I am in Chemistry class with a bunch of raucous, misbehaving students. Our teacher has left the room for some reason. Several of my classmates run out into the hallway, because it is rumored that one of the students in another classroom is suffering from a horrible skin condition (or some similar ailment) and they want to check it out.

When the teacher returns, all of the students have made it back except for one. The teacher yells at him furiously, nearly bringing him to tears.

Later, a deadly computer virus is going around, and I am desperately trying to keep my laptop away from all of the infected computers. The virus is after people as well. One of my friends lays down across a bed in some hotel, and a little mechanical voodoo doll walks out from the headboard and stabs her in the head with a needle, infecting her. Alarmed, I pick up my laptop and keep away from the walls as I hurriedly exit the room to get help.

      1- My Devilish Dream Guide
I have had more than my fair share, but I grab some more of the treats and sneak them off to my room for later. I notice that it is getting dark, so I flip on my light. There is a brief pause, then the light flickers on for a moment and promptly dies. "Well, it blew." I turn to go find a new bulb when I decide to RC. "It is a dream sign, after all." And it. . . Passes? Wow, I don't even remember going to sleep. I instantly remember my mission to find Anne, so I walk outside. It is early morning; the sun is not yet over the horizon, so i give it a bit of help. (Which works a little too well, the sun flies across to the opposite horizon instead.) Oops.

I begin to call out Anne's name, when I notice some children playing across the street. They give me the creeps, but I approach them anyway. (A horrible sense of dread lurks in the air, but I do my best to ignore it.) "Hey, do you know anyone named Anne?" I ask the nearest child, a boy of about 9 or 10.

      "No," he says.

The children are all really crazy, hiding from the "evil penguins that live in the forest." I hear something running through the woods, but I continue down the road, calling for Anne. "Anne, I know you can hear me! Anne!!!" The children are following, chattering quietly. A bunch of other people are following as well.

I turn around. "Okay, all dream characters leave! Now!!!" Several of them vanish, but the majority stay. I sigh in annoyance and keep walking.

We come to a place with a beautiful lake, sparkling in the sunlight. I put my hand in and it feels like real water. A forest is in front of us, and something is coming. My companions are afraid, and I am getting paranoid (something had apparently been stalking me through the woods the entire dream, starting with the "evil penguins") so we hurry back the way we came. The Strong Man is trying to hold onto me, but I break his grasp and take flight.

Some girl is now chasing me, jumping up and trying to pull me out of the air. She wants me to kill whatever is after us, but I have more important things to do. Somehow we are now in a building, and I have my back pressed to the ceiling to avoid her grasp. (Doorways are a problem, though.)

Eventually, I make it back to my house, a bit frustrated. I see a dog begin to approach me. "Stephanie?" I ask. It comes closer and I begin to pet it. "Speak," I say. The dog makes a few moaning noises. "Speak in ENGLISH. I don't understand dog."

The dog sighs and looks at me resentfully. "Very well." now I can see why it didn't want to talk. It's voice sounds like Alpha from Up.

It begins to recite a poem, which basically says that this dream is cursed because I know who my Dream Guide is and I refuse to accept it. That would explain the sense of dread the entire dream...

"You mean Leroy, don't you?" I ask, annoyed. The dog nods and walks off. After a moment, I sigh. "Wait! Leroy! Leroy!!! I'm sorry!!!"

Suddenly a man appears. He has long red horns coming out of his head and medium-length brown hair. He is dressed in the garments of a Dark King. "Leroy?" I ask, my eyes practically bugging out of my head. He was. . . hot. Incredibly hot.

      "Yep. Miss me?"

      "You look. . . different."

He explains the reason for the change, but I don't really remember it. (I was undoubtedly too busy staring at him.)

My worst fear has come true. And besides that, I think Leroy is the devil... I remember asking, the little mummy from so long ago, "How exactly did you become a charred corpse?" To which he replied, "My parents burned me." But regardless...
