    1. A Lady In White: The Return of the Queen?

      by , 01-16-2011 at 03:15 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
Well, I slept better last night. (Understatement. I slept like a freaking rock, which is weird for me. I didn't even wake up to my WBTB alarm.) Still didn't have great recall, but the quality of the dream makes up for it.

      1- Cell Phone (fragment)
I get a text message from my friend saying that her parents finally gave her a cell phone, so I can text her now and not have to worry about my phobia of calling people. ((Part of a much longer and much more interesting dream that I can only get flashes of.))

      2- Unplanned Vacation
((My family is having some issues, I believe it involves the mafia, but I can't remember that part.)) My nonexistent sister is driving off without permission to go to Edistoe Island. I rashly jump in the car and demand to go with her. At the very least, I should be able to keep her out of trouble. It isn't long, however, before I realize the implications of this little endeavor. Not only will my mother be absolutely furious with me, but my sister is obviously somewhat crazy and I don't want to get dragged down with her.

"Pull over and let me out," I demand.

"What? No. You wanted to come with me."

"Look, I can't do this. I have a good life here, and I don't want to screw it up. Just let me out, I can walk home from here."

She sighs and pulls the car over. "What a goody-two-shoes. Mom's still going to be mad at you, y'know."

I grin impishly. "Not if I tell her you kidnapped me." With that, I get out of the car and run off.

I become lucid shortly afterward. It's a low level of lucidity, though, because I still think I have to go home. Wanting to stay off the main road, I leap of the bridge and fly toward the ruins of an older bridge secluded in the woods. A large beam stretches out across the river. It is fairly wide, something that would take absolutely no skill to balance across, yet I quickly find that dream gravity can be a pain in the butt. As I start to walk across it, I become really heavy and am finding it hard to keep my balance. What is this, dream vertigo? Fortunately, I make it across without falling.

On the other side, I am approached by two calico cats. One of them looks a lot like Sadie, but I examine her markings and see that she's not. I speak to them for a bit as they listen in silence.

Then I lose what little lucidity I had. A lady dressed in a short white dress walks up to me; she looks a lot like the Queen, with her unnaturally pale complexion and her choice of clothing, even her silvery blond hair color. Her hair style is different, though. Whereas the Queen has long, flowing hair, this woman's hair is short and curly. I don't notice these similarities in the dream, due to my cat snoring IRL
and waking me up. ((For all I know, she could have been the Queen. Changing one's hairstyle is not that difficult, particularly in a dream. I didn't really have much time to find out.))

      3- An Actress?
As I am getting ready for school and trying not to miss the bus, students and teachers are meandering around the house. I don't find it odd, just annoying. They won't leave the room while I'm trying to get dressed. And damn, I forgot to print out my lab report.

Distracted, I somehow put on a shirt on top of my jacket. My AP chem teacher walks in at that point and laughs at me. "Ugh, I give up."

I put some sort of makeup on, and when I look in the mirror I realize that my whole face is blue. It actually makes me look really cool, but I can't go to school like this!

After I fix that problem, my ears are suddenly painfully rejecting my earrings. They are bending around and making the metal stab me. Annoyed, I take the earrings out and throw them on the floor. "I just won't wear any today."

A bit later, I am shocked to see that lady in my house! "Who is that?" I ask my mom. She tells me it's some actress. "But I had a dream about her! How is that possible?" I am being quite loud. The lady, who is standing beside a large man with a top hat and a cigar, turns around and smiles at me. I blush, but I can't look away.
((I wake up again shortly afterward. Hmm. I still can't say for sure it was her. In the majority of the dreams I've had of her, she's always either tried to kill me or nearly gotten me killed. With a few odd exceptions. It's not like her to just stare at me without saying anything and make me wake up. Which, by the way, is way more annoying than trying to kill me.))

    2. More Manipulation; Canine Insights

      by , 01-14-2011 at 03:29 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
      1/14/11

      1-The Storm
I arrive at school, black clouds swirling in the sky. I'd best get inside; tornadoes are already starting to form, and I know I can't fight them like I do in my dreams. ((Uh... Reality check??? Idiot.)) Once inside, we are all ushered to the gym for some sort of ceremony. Incidentally, I am sitting next to Mitchell. This is somewhat of a problem: I can sense he is beginning to fall for me, and I have no feelings for him whatsoever. In fact, I find him quite bothersome. But here, I face a conflict of personality.

My inhibited side wants to make it clear that I am not interested. However, a manipulative part of me wants to be with him to stir up trouble. After all, Shelby was obsessed with him for two years. I could just picture her reaction if I actually went out with him! The thought makes me giggle, and Mitchell looks at me with amusement. "What's so funny?"

"Uh, nothing." Idiot. I can't just use a person like that for my own crazy thrills. It's not ethical. Just because I have a thing for drama doesn't mean everyone else should suffer because of it.

I continue arguing with myself until the ceremony is over. For some reason Mitchell is leaving early, and he wants me to help him carry some stuff to his car. Oh, great... 'If he asks me out, I'd better say no,' I warn myself fiercely. Oh, come on, another part of me says, Don't you think it'd be a LITTLE fun to toy with him? 'No! Well, yes, but that's beside the point!'

At Mitchell's car, I hand him his things and glance up at the dark sky. "I have a feeling we won't be having school tomorrow," I say. He nods, seeming distracted, and looks at me hesitantly. Oh no, it's even worse than I thought. He's thinking about kissing me!

Some of my panic must have shown through, because he instead leans in closer and hugs me. "Goodbye," he says softly.

"Uh, goodbye," I mutter, unable to stop myself from hugging him back. Damn. I'm going to murder Evil Me one of these days...

He gets into his car and drives off, while I head back to the school. I feel dizzy, and my heart is beating out of control. "See what you're doing?" I mutter to myself. "Getting these stupid teenage hormones all out of whack. Something is seriously wrong with you." As soon as I walk in the door, I am met by a very unpleasant senior. I recognize her instantly as one of the newspaper staff. ((IRL, my school doesn't have a newspaper.)) I realize that she saw me with Mitchell, which is one of the worst possible things that could happen. ((According to the dream, there had been some sort of incident surrounding Mitchell lately, making him somewhat of a "celebrity."))

"You're going out with Mitchell?" she asks excitedly, notepad in hand. "How long have you known each other? What is your name?"

"It isn't like that," I say evasively, and run away from her. News travels quickly, though, and I am hounded by student reporters the whole rest of the day. Evil Me loves it. Shy Me wishes they would go away.

Finally the day ends, and my mood is as dark as the raging storm outside. It doesn't help matters any when my friends drag me along to help some girl with her boyfriend problems and end up making me miss the bus. They offer to drive me home; I have no option but to except.
My mood improves drastically when I realize that this is all a dream.

Instead of ending up at my house, we are forced to stop at this creepy old mansion. Everything about it screams haunted: there are ghostly wails, eerie and unexplainable creaks, flickering lights... "My subconscious is so cliche," I say with amusement.
((I am lucid for a while, but I don't remember the rest of it.))

      2- Important Insights
People have been collapsing lately and becoming completely catatonic. A girl falls down in front of me; I catch her before she hits the ground, then sit down and hold her against me as she has a violent seizure. I learn that she has a boyfriend named Zachary, so I use that to try to get her to come out of this. "Come on," I say, "You have to fight this. Zachary would be devastated if he never got to speak to you again." I continue saying things like this until she miraculously comes back to consciousness.

Later, I am working at some weird experimental facility dealing with the spiritual insights of dogs. At first, my job is to chase the dogs down as they run on their delirious quest to reach an insight. Then I get a promotion to counselor.

"This is your choice," I say to the dog in my hand, just as I'd heard my superiors say not long before. "No one else can decide this for you. If you chose to stay here, everything will return to the way it was. If you decide to go out there, you'll have an amazing spiritual awakening and come to an important insight. Just know that once you choose, there's no turning back. What is your decision?"

"I choose to go out," the dog says. As soon as he steps outside, his eyes turns dazed and he runs around frantically for several minutes, before finally coming to a halt and reaching his insight, which one of the Chasers promptly records.

My superior tells me to wrap it up for today. "I'll be finished after this last dog," I tell her, and give the dog my speech. All the chasers have gone home for the day, so I take this task as well. I follow the dog on his crazed run; for some reason I am running on all fours as well. I feel fast and free! I should run like this all the time!

Finally the dog stops, and looks enlightened. "What is your insight?" I pant.

"That dogs and people are really not that different, and can live in harmony together."

    3. In Which I Turn Confusion into Lucidity

      by , 01-13-2011 at 05:46 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
      1/13/11

      1- Failed Planning
I have gone to take the SAT, and for some strange reason Mitchell, my friend's ex-obsessionboyfriend, is with me. He is supposed to be taking the test, too, and my mother is going to pay the fee for him. However, his name does not seem to be on the list. "Can't you just print him off an answer document?" My mom asks the lady.

"Did you even sign up for this, or were you just planning to take it on a whim?" I ask Mitchell in annoyance.

I try to explain to my mother that he didn't sign up and that no, they CAN'T just print off an answer document because the College Board deals with that and they would need all of his information. She refuses to listen to me and keeps arguing. I glare at Mitchell, who still does not appear to know what's going on.

Later, he has somehow angered a mob of crazed tourists. I learn that there is some sort of zombie virus outbreak, and that he has tricked the tourists into giving them these tickets that are used to gain passage into a zombie free zone. I snatch the tickets away from him after I chase off the mob. "Why did you take all these in the first place?"

"I needed them for autographs!" Oh my god, what an idiot, I think in disgust.

"Autographs? What the hell are you talking about?" I notice that all of the tickets have the initials RL scrawled on the back of them.

((Also, it seemed like Samael was involved in the whole ordeal, but I can't remember how.))

      2- Street Punks
I am riding the school bus, and for some reason my dad is sharing the seat with me and this other girl. She asks my dad why he's coming to school with me. I suddenly wonder the same. What in the world is he doing on the bus? Without learning the answer, we arrive at school and I wander down the hallway. What class am I supposed to go to...? Something is wrong with my memory. I end up at my AP United States History class. "Oh yeah, I have APUSH first period," I remind myself.

But where is all my stuff? Is it in my locker? I go to my locker and find that someone else's stuff is there. "Did we have a locker change again?" I ask a nearby student.

"Yeah, it's really annoying when they do that. Should have waited 'till the next semester."

I remember that my alternate locker number is on my schedule... which is in my locker. Great. ((BTW, there is no such thing as a locker change or an alternate locker number. Yet another false memory.))

I go to the office and find a bunch of band students playing jingle bells very unenthusiastically to a tall, official looking lady. They finish as I enter the room, and she claps happily. I hesitantly approach the lady. "Um, I don't know if you're the right person to ask for this... What is my new locker number?"

"You're number 18," she says cheerily, without even looking at a list. "I placed you myself. See, we try to position everyone based on their abilities."

"Okay... 18. Thanks." How does she know who I am? What abilities? I mull the question over and walk out the wrong door. I get it right on my second try. "Great," I say to myself, embarrassed, "I definitely have 'special' abilities, alright."

At that point I "wake up" in my car, pouring sweat. Ugh it's so hot in here... I look around and note that I'm in the student parking lot. Weird... I don't think we even have school today. Was I sleep driving? I'd better call my mom and let her know where....

My thoughts trail off as I RC and become lucid. All worries assuaged, I observe my surroundings. It is sunny, and though the parking lot is empty, there are people walking everywhere. I happily get out of the car and decide to go on a walk. No telling what might develop along the way.

It isn't long before I come upon a gang of boys who are playing with a yoyo. The youngest (who is about 10) accidentally slams it on the ground and breaks it. "Oh no," he moans. "If Carlos finds out about this, he'll kill all of us." I notice what is in my hand at the same time they do. One of those rubber yoyo's with the flashing lights inside of it. Well, then...

I break into a run, and they all jump on motorcycles and come after me. I'm fast, but they're faster. I make it to a bridge several miles from my house before they catch up with me. Well, I gave them a chance. They chose not to take it.

With an evil grin, I leap into the air just before the bikes would have run me over. They skid to a halt and glare up at me, unfazed by my unnatural performance. I am suddenly hurdling through the air directly at the largest gang member. My foot slams into his chest with enough force to knock him off the bridge to his death. NOW they look appropriately frightened. I make short work of the others. Now only the youngest is left. I do not intend to kill him at first, but then he holds one of his dead comrades in front of him as a shield. This angers me. "Stupid street punk!" I yell as I beat the life out of him.

      3- Playing with Energy
I am listening in to the Elders' meeting without their knowledge.

"What? The youngest son of the Uria clan has run off?"

"He is a disgrace to his family."

      "What of the eldest?"

"Her position in this matter is unknown. When asked about it, she merely said, 'These things happen.'"

I roll my eyes and place the headphones back on the table. Stupid old bags. Is it really so difficult to understand why my brother ran off?

My uncle walks in the room, and I look as innocent and meek as possible as he goes into his usual speech of upholding the family values, blah blah blah, and I'd better not end up like my "wretch of a brother."

At this point, I RC and become lucid, exiting the role of this Uria character.

I go to the back door and walk outside, thinking about the Queen (yet again) and wondering if I should try to contact her. I am still contemplating this when I look up and notice Sadie sitting nearby with two other cats. One of them seems to be massaging the other's shoulders. At first they look similar to cats I'd previously owned, but then they change slightly and I no longer recognize them.

The one who had been getting the massage runs over to me and bites my hand affectionately. I pet her and ask her what her name is. No answer. "Come on, you can tell me." She still doesn't answer. I look at her black and white companion. "Hey, cat. I know that's not your name, so speak and tell me what it is." No answer. "Sadie?" Sadie turns up her tail and ignores me. "Hmph. Fine, be that way." I ask the cat that I'm petting one more time what her name is, and I hear my stepdad's voice behind me say "Betty."

      "Betty?"

      "Yeah, that's her name."

He and my brother walk up and start horseplaying. I notice that whenever my brother goes to throw a punch, I can see his energy fly from his hand and hit Chris before the physical impact. "That's interesting," I say. Chris takes some of Steven's energy in his hand and forms it into a ball, then throws it at me. "Ow!" That really hurt. He throws another one, but this time I catch it and examine it closely. I let my own energy flow into it; the ball goes from being clear to swirling with black and purple energy. "Interesting," I say again. I throw the ball at Chris. At first it sticks to my hand and absorbs back into me, but I make a new ball of my own and throw it. I have terrible aim; it lands several feet away and creates a mini explosion.

I notice it's getting dark out, which is a good indication that the dream is getting unstable.
I wake up before I can do anything about it.

      4- Canoeing
I am watching from above as PJ and a few other people are canoeing in a beautiful wide river surrounded by an evergreen forest. The dream tells me that this is in Detroit, Michigan or maybe Delaware, I can't remember which. I know it started with a D.
    4. Ouch...

      by , 08-05-2010 at 01:47 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
I had quite a few dreams last night, but this is the only one that I remember.

      1- Alex the Cursed
At school, I am in a gang led by a boy named Alex. (Who, by the way, seems to be the same Alex from my orphanage dream a while back.) This isn't a normal kind of gang. Alex's father is a leading figure in the Mafia; our gang is designed to undermine his malicious schemes.

In a tragic turn of fate, however, Alex is discovered. Furious, his father beats him unconscious before my eyes (I am chained to the wall). Then, to my horror, he pulls down the boy's pants and chops off his penis.

"You sick bastard!" I screech, straining uselessly against my chains. "He's your son! How can you be so cruel!?"

I am released without any (physical) harm, and I carry Alex back to his room. (Although, "carry" isn't the right word. I more or less had to drag him due the fact that he was considerably larger than me.) I feel sorry for him when he wakes up...

      *time lapse*

The gang and I seem to be under some sort of sleeping spell. I drowsily wonder why I haven't gotten out of bed the past week.

Suddenly the nurse brings in some "medicine." She says that Alex sent it. Throughout the dream, we had been taking some particular type of drug to enhance our fighting abilities. I believe that this is the same thing, despite the fact that it is clearly labeled "Furniture Cleaner." One sip of it and I am abruptly wide awake.

I rush to the nearest sink as fast as my legs can carry me (which happens to be the one in Alex's bedroom) and begin spitting the stuff out. It has started foaming, and takes quite a while to get it all out. Blech! "I... I think I prefer the other medicine," I say to Alex weakly. "Although this one DID get me out of bed."

He is angry that we haven't been to see him since his... incident. I apologize profusely, making a mental note to slaughter whoever put me under that damn spell...

      *time lapse*

It is time for the school election, and since two girls from the Yakuza are running, it is important for our gang to send two candidates. Alex and I are the popular choice. I know that I will end up doing most of the work (since he's going to be disabled for a while), but I put on a brave face and accept the offer. (I really, really hate positions where I must speak in front of people.)

For some reason, part of the pre-election activities consists of hiding seven slips of paper in the kitchen. The opposing team who finds all of the other team's papers wins the challenge.

But the Yakuza girls are cheaters. I catch them spying on me as I hide the slips of paper, so Alex and I start devising a scheme of our own to sabotage them.

    5. Tybanta Silbane

      by , 08-03-2010 at 12:27 AM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
Gotta play catch up again. I've been so busy these last few days!

Also, it's important to note that I'm adding a new color! Purple now indicates semi-lucidity.

      7/31/10

1- Slave to my Own Bloodlust
Poetry usually comes so naturally to me... And this is about Artemis. It should be easy. So why am I struggling? I am frantically trying to get a few more words down before class starts, when I am interrupted by the janitor. He wants me and several other students to accompany him on a brief errand. I readily follow, hoping that the trip takes longer than planned. Anything to get out of admitting that my homework isn't finished.

Upon returning, I head slowly for the door--- when I realize that I left all my stuff in the janitor's van! When I hurry back to retrieve it, I am somewhat disconcerted to find that the creepy ghost kid who haunts the school has stolen it. Great. That means a trip down to the basement.

The kid is not pleased to see me. I spend a considerable amount of time trying not to die before I finally manage to retrieve my bookbag and split. I missed English completely. "Oops."

      *time lapse*

I am walking down the hallway when my former Master, a Gorgon-like lady named Tybanta Silbane, appears in the mirror. Apparently she's still a bit PO'd about me ripping her eyes out and then ignoring her whenever she tried to contact me. "Did you think you could escape me so easily, Hazel?" she hisses. "You underestimate me. However, I'm willing to give you one last chance. Repent, and become my slave once more, and your life shall be spared."

My answer is a savage kick to the mirror, shattering her image and sending glass everywhere. Maybe now she'll get it through her thick, snakey head that I work for no one but myself.

She may be annoying, but she's still a Goddess. Her wrath is rather frightful on a dark night. Fortunately, I have lucidity on my side to quell the fear.

      *time lapse*

Now only semi-lucid, walking with the baseball team to Silbane's lair. They have practically reached cult-hood in their near worship of her, and she gives them plenty of drugs to keep them happy. My brother is afraid that he will be turned to stone by her gaze. "She's not really a Gorgon," I tell him, "but her eyes are her strength. Slashing them out is your best bet if she comes after you."

Inside, she has her place set up like a fortune-teller's tent at a carnival. The words "Tybanta Silbane, the Magnificent," are written in elaborate letters across the table where she sits. Her only acknowledgement of my presence is a slight, sinister smirk. She plans to kill me.

The baseball team is standing in line, and she gives them each a shot of some kind of drug. Soon I am at the front. I know that my shot will not be as enjoyable as the others'. Just as she is about to inject the venom into my veins, I duck out of the way and deftly grab two sewing needles from a nearby basket, jabbing them violently into the dark Goddess's eyes. As she screeches in rage, I then proceed to chop her to pieces.

After the deed is done, I realize that I am sad to see her go. We had never really gotten along from the start, but deep down we had enjoyed each other's company.

I shouldn't have worried, though. Goddesses never stay dead for long.

    6. Second Missed Night

      by , 07-26-2010 at 01:12 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
      7/24/10

      1- Antics
I end up throwing a childish hissy fit and run off down the road. I go farther than intended; all the way down to Deerman High. (Name changed.) As I jump the fence, I have a complete character change.

I am now a guy. From a 3rd person POV I see that I have spiky reddish orange hair. Really good-looking. I intend to leave this place before I get caught, but a marvellous sight stops me dead in my tracks: A cheerleader. A tall, blond, big chested cheerleader. I decide to hang around here for a bit, after all. ((What I find most amusing about this dream is that I literally had the mindset of a guy. I apparently didn't remember being a girl AT ALL.)) I pay someone to give me their extra uniform, which allows me to blend in.

    7. I Have Returned

      by , 07-18-2010 at 09:21 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
I've had the most horrible recall of my whole life this past week, but last night I FINALLY remembered some dreams. (My poor recall isn't the only reason for my absence. I was also somewhat obsessed with a sort of roleplaying game that I'm not even a part of.)

      7/18/10

      1- Rat-Girl
I go into our tool shed to see if I can find the mouse family my mother has told me about. Instead, I see a strange girl sitting over a group of young rats. The girl has silvery white hair and... rat ears on top of her head. WTF? My mom must be blind if she thinks these are mice.

The girl sends her "children" off to their room while she talks to me. She explains that she's not a ratgirl, but a wolfgirl. I don't believe her.

2- Searching for Food (short version, because it was rather long and pointless)
On the first day of school, the lunch room is closed. I am told that there is a table set up on "Sunny Street" where I can get my food, but by the time I get through the frustrating maze that leads to it, lunch is over.

    8. Samael, Serenity, and Loaf

      by , 06-19-2010 at 12:04 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
It's only a bit after 6:30 as I begin typing this, so I suppose I should still be sleeping. I'm just way to amused at the dreams I had to get back to sleep, though.

      1- A Final Deed
Samael and I are roommates at some apartment. I am not myself; I am an ex-vigilante woman who has been diagnosed with incurable cancer. Samael asks me why I don't help people anymore, and I say that I have lost faith in the world.

There is a new girl who has moved in next door, and something about her interests me. I suggest to her that she should speak with Samael. The next night, I am sitting on a bench outside our apartment when the new girl and Samael arrive together from a date they just had. I am delighted to see how well they are getting along; they're practically soulmates! I'm glad that I got to do one last good deed before I die.

      2- Annoying Class
We are supposed to be taking some test, but nobody is following instructions. I am talking to my friend Samantha, but she keeps switching back and forth between herself and Serenity. "Hey, I was reading your dream journal, and we both dreamed about a lemonade stand last night," I say to her. (Actually, I say tennis court to start with, then correct myself and say lemonade stand.)

"Oh yeah, I read about that."

"Oh, you did! I remember now that you already commented on it."

In the middle of our conversation, the teacher comes over and says I need to be checked out by the dentist. They strap me into a chair, give me laughing gas, and perform rather painful tests on me. After it is over, one of Samantha/Serenity's friends is laughing at me, saying that the gas made me act retarded.

      3- A Slice of Loaf
I tell my brother that I am excited to get home, because my friend Loaf is going to be staying with us for a while. I explain that he just had his tonsils removed, so he probably won't feel much like talking.

I walk into the front door, and Loaf is laying across my couch eating a bowl of chocolate ice cream. He looks like he's about 15 or 16, possibly older, and he has no hair. My mother has been taking care of him. "Hi Loaf, how are you feeling?"

"I'm in pain," he says happily.

"I would imagine so. Did the surgery go well?"

      "It hurt."

"You mean you could feel it while they were operating on you? Didn't they put you to sleep?"

"Yeah, but I could still feel it." He explains that while they were operating, he dreamed of a woman stabbing him in the throat.

My mom begins to as him a lot of questions about lucid dreaming, such as what got him interested to begin with.

Later, I get attacked by some creatures in a cave, and Loaf rescues me.
    9. A Lot of WTF Moments

      by , 06-18-2010 at 01:51 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
All day yesterday I felt sort of drained. Even when I was doing active things, such as Karate, I felt like it was a struggle to keep my eyes open. Not sure what that was all about, but it made recall throughout the night a bit difficult.

      1- Fading to Nothingness
The first part of the dream is indecipherable. Something to do with... karate, maybe. The vague feeling of failure. A convenience store? Or some place with a lot of shelves...

Later, I am lucid, but everything has gone weird. I am watching the dream from above; it looks more like a map than a scene. There is a circle of colored squares; each square represents a dreamer. The big blue square beside me is WakingNomad. He is giving us all instructions of some kind, possibly about shared dreaming. ((If I hadn't had my sun sound mp3 playing in my ears, I wouldn't have even realized that I had woken up a few seconds after this.))

      2- The WTF Ghost Race
In school, but class is a video game. Our eventual goal is to dispel some nasty ghost pirates, but first we have to do a lot of random tasks. There is a map in the top right corner of my vision that has our goal markers on it. First, we are in a hallway that forks off into three other hallways. They all loop back around to the central one. Our goal is to run through these hallways in the right order for quite a good number of times. If we get the order screwed up, we have to start over. Our instructor tells us that the pattern is center, left, right. We run around for ages until we have achieved our first goal.

Next we have to meet up at the pirate king's gravestone. I am no longer paying much attention, because I have a major problem. For some reason, I accidentally brought a pocket knife with me, and I am worried that the teachers will find it and I'll get expelled.

      3- Poor Undead Kitty
We are riding our bikes along the interstate, of all places. I am going faster than some of the cars, which surprises me. Am I really going 60 miles per hour on my bicycle? I abruptly lose balance and topple over, sprawling out face first in the emergency lane. Uninjured, I leap to my feet and move my bike from the middle of the road. Wow, I'm glad that didn't kill me.

My dad and brother have stopped to make sure I am okay. Hey, look! A cat! I walk over to the edge of the woods where a pitiful looking cat is standing, mewing helplessly. I notice that she is missing all her fur... Her skin is pink and purple like the Cheshire cat. "Aww, we can't just leave her here! Let's take her home with us!"

My dad looks at me skeptically. "I'm not taking care of any cat."

"You don't have to! I know Chris can't turn down a stray, so we'll be able to keep it."

My brother picks it up. It now has white, fluffy fur, but I don't notice the difference. We start walking home ((what happened to our bikes?)) when suddenly Steven freaks out. "Uh... we have a problem." Concerned, I go over to him to see what he's talking about. He holds the cat up, showing me it's underside.

Holy crap! The cat has a huge slash going all the way from it's chest to it's belly... AND IT HAS NO ORGANS! It's completely hollow! "How can she still be alive!?"

      4- Hospitality and Time Warps
I am not myself; I am a guy who is aspiring to be a magician. Something terrible happens, and I end up staying with a kind old woman and her husband until I can fix what ever went wrong.

I think I just end up making it worse. I get stuck in some kind of time warp, and now I am apparently a famous hero. People who were supposed to be my companions now have no clue who I am, and they seem to worship me from a distance. A man named Fable, who I had gone to magic school with and who had beaten me numerous times is now a member of some sort of gang. He tells me that he's always admired my strength and wishes that he could become like me.
    10. My Anti-Social Dream Guide

      by , 06-17-2010 at 01:24 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
Sometimes, my dream guide really irks me. But yay, lucidity!

      1- Scary Lucidity
I am listening to a song on my mp3 player that was written by someone on MM. It's very creepy... Makes me think of Alice in Wonderland. Eventually I get tired and turn it off, intending to go to bed. As soon as I lay down, the song starts playing. Ugh, not THIS song again. Wait, didn't I take my earbuds out already? I sit up and RC. Lucid!

Suddenly it is very dark in my room. I vaguely think about lights, but I cannot focus enough to make the darkness go away. An aura of fear, of pure terror, weighs down the air, making it somewhat difficult to breathe.

Annoyed, I walk to the center of my room and stand perfectly still. I picture what I will do to any attacker, even Leroy (who I know is behind this), for coming to me in such darkness with the obvious intent to scare me. But it's just so freaking dark, I can't hold the dream together.
      FA

((Note: I know it was Leroy, because fear is his "energy signature." Why he has to be so anti-social, I don't know.))

      2- A Dream of Wakefulness
I am in MM chat, telling everyone about the lucid dream I just had. Moonbeam tells me that the person who wrote that song is banned from MM, because he stole our "void game." I am appalled. How dare he!?

Later, I am a guy wandering around a college campus. I hear a "Hey, you," behind me and turn around. A girl is standing in the doorway, looking at me. "The manager told me to look for a Junior, and you're the only Junior around here. Even though you look more like 17 than 20. If you want to join our ranks, go meet Nelson by the band house."
((This is pretty much an exact quote of what she said, as I woke up afterwards and wrote it down as quickly as possible.))

      3- Alice in Dreamland
I am cleaning out my grandmother's house; apparently she's moving. We fight all sorts of strange things in there, my favorite being some type of primitive war machine. It is a cart, with a catapult attached to one side, a removable spiky club attached to the other side, and spikes in the front. Useful for both long ranged attacks and ramming into enemies.

Later, I am no longer myself, but a girl named Alice. I am standing in a graveyard with friends, sanctifying the grave of our deceased friend, Whisper. I say a spell which animates the concrete Angel used as her gravemarker. It now has her spirit. She thanks me, and offers to help in times of need.

I am following some weird storyline as I wander further into the graveyard, away from my friends. A narrator says I will get attacked by the thugs who are after me, and my friends won't be able to hear my cries for help. The rational part of me realizes that I could leave now before the thugs find me, but this Alice part of me isn't aware of my future predicament.

I see my (Alice's) father walk around the side of the church.

Rational me: *gasp* My father has something to do with those thugs!

Alice: Hm, I wonder where he's going?

As I sneak closer, I spot the thugs loading some things into a car. Too late to hide: the short fat one has spotted me! I run, and he give chase. How can he run so fast!? I see my friends over the hill, leaving the cemetery. As predicted, they cannot hear me calling to them.

Suddenly another of the thugs is standing in my path. This one, however, I know to be friendly. "Alice!" he cries out as I collide into him. He catches me and holds me with my back against his chest.

"Being... chased..." I pant. Shorty walks up to us.

"Neil! Good, you got 'er! Let's take 'er to the boss!"

Neil doesn't move; I can tell he's debating with himself about what to do. Set me free, or follow orders? Right now, I don't really care which one he decides. I know that he'll save me eventually, if not now. Besides, I'm feeling very comfortable in his arms... "Neil, what are you waiting for?" Shorty growls impatiently.

Neil suddenly lets me go and puts himself between me and the other thug. "Go! Run!" I don't want to leave him, but I must follow the storyline.

"Thank you," I say, taking off down the sidewalk. I think I am going to get away, but at the intersection I am intercepted by another thug, who looks like Fabio. Damn it! Neil got in trouble for nothing!
((At this point, my mom's phone goes off, waking me. No fair... I was going to end up having a romance with Neil...))
    11. The Xbox is the Devil

      by , 06-13-2010 at 02:22 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
Bleh... My brothers were up half the night playing video games. WBTB was too distracting to use self-hypnosis, and it took ages to get back to sleep.

      1- Hair of Death
I'm being attacked by some crazy lady's hair. It is alive, in four separate pony-tail entities, with a deadly blade on the end of each. As they are trying to chop my head off, they say that my soul will join them if they kill me. "Dang, what the hell did you do to your hair?" I say to the lady, who I seem to know.

I manage to get away from that situation, and end up an some school or similar institution. I am talking to two people... "Don't worry," I say, "You know I'd always be at least semi-lucid for something like this, even if I'm not fully aware of it." I wasn't lucid at all, really.

2- In Need of a Repairman
I end up over at Shelby and Taylor's house. Oh no, why am I here? I'm not supposed to be here... Their mother walks in and immediately starts yelling at me. I merely roll my eyes and walk out the door.

Back at my house, I am crawling on the ground for some reason. Bugs and rodents are everywhere. I go inside the house just as a fountain of bugs bursts through the wall. Not wanting to deal with this at the moment, I walk back outside. I find a cell phone near the edge of the woods which seems to belong to Shelby. I flip through some information on it and find that the phone supposedly belongs to a "Richard McGreggor Cullen." I still think that it's Shelby's, since she's still somewhat obsessed with Twilight.

      3- Cross Country
I am running through the school, at the instruction of my coach. This seems to be the new trail... My legs don't want to work right. "If I can't even run correctly in real life, how do I expect to do it in dreams?" I think to myself. ((GAH!!!!!))

Something stupid about filling up a bag with food as we run...

I also had some pretty cool HI as I was trying to get back to sleep. I was slashing people to bits in gory detail with the Deathcat, and ripping people's heads off with my bare hands. Yeah... that's how I feel about being disturbed at 1:30 in the morning.

    12. In a Deep Sleep

      by , 06-12-2010 at 05:11 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
Seems like I've been sleeping a lot deeper lately. Usually I'm a light sleeper, and will awaken at the slightest thing. This is making it very difficult to WBTB properly. At least my recall was better last night!

      1- Dream Journaling (fragment)

I am writing down some keywords from a dream I just had. It seems like it was a very interesting dream...

      2- Waiting in the Rain
((Why is this underline green???)) I am in my classroom, when the bell rings. Yay, time to leave! I run down the hallway and am halfway to the door when I realize that I left all my stuff in the classroom. Oh no, I'm going to miss the bus... I run back and grab my stuff, and when I get outside I am relieved to see that I haven't been left.

Later, Steven and I are waiting outside an abandoned building for our dad. It is pouring down rain and extremely uncomfortable. I wish he'd hurry the hell up... FINALLY he arrives, after the rain has already stopped. We are walking down a path behind the building, and come out near a corn field where a motorcycle gang is having a meeting. I am feeling reckless and want to go join them, but my dad says we'd better steer clear. I end up walking through the corn field before returning to the path.

We are now in a car, driving through a really beautiful (and obviously rich) estate. There is so much to see! Gargoyles perch atop the buildings, and glittering fountains gurgle in the courtyards. I keep telling my dad to slow down, that I want to see everything. We pass by a sign that says Amethyst Labyrinth. I know that I must come back here to explore one day.

      3- Hospital
((Hm, this one's black like it's supposed to be.)) I am visiting someone in the hospital with a bunch of people I don't know. We get on the elevator, press the button, and... WHOOSH!!!! The thing flies to our floor at an such an incredible speed that I fall over. Holy cow... They must need these elevators to get emergency patients up to the operating room or something.

Later, I am going back down. I make it into the elevator, but the door shuts before the rest of my people can get on. Oh well, they'll have to catch the next one. A little boy is in there with me, and he looks scared to death. "Which floor?" I ask him.

      "Five and ten," he answers.

How can he be going to two different floors? I press both of the buttons anyway, as well as the ground floor. The thing immediately shoots way up to the tenth floor as I hold onto the railing for dear life. The little boy is screaming his head off. "I'm going to have to go through this two more times," I think with annoyance.

      4- Pit Possum Man
I am taking care of a small possum. Eventually it turns into a pit bull, but it still has the same tail. The thing is fairly aggressive, and the whole time I'm trying to teach it to be more pleasant. At the end, it becomes a man with very little clothing, resembling Tarzan. (And yet again, he still has that possum tail.)

My nose starts to run, because it is cold and rainy. I sniff rather loudly. "What's that?" the possum man asks me.

      "What's what?"

      He sniffs, imitating me.

"Oh. I had snot running out my nose."

((LOL The conversation got even worse after that, but I won't go there.))

      5- Texting (fragment)
I get a text message from a person who I'd rather not hear from. Oh no, not HER. I text back, "The only reason you're so upset is because you KNOW I'm right. You secretly want to change, but you don't know how."
