So, this is my new journal. (Ask me about a link to my old journal, from 2005 - 2010) Not much to say, that my original intro didn't say. I began lucid dreaming as a response to vivid nightmares, as a kid. Over the years, I learned how to wake myself up, when I knew I was having a nightmare, which later developed into a curious resolve to stay within the dreams, instead of trying to escape. Now I practice lucid dreaming and dream control regularly (or as regularly as my undisciplined ass can stick with it). Most of my lucid dreams are still spontaneous, but I have my fair share of successes with induction methods, when I apply myself. Lucid dreaming has become a beloved hobby of mine, both for adventure and because of my deep-seated interest in consciousness, psychology, and the human mind, in general. It also just happens to be a hell of a lot of fun.

So...that's about it. I guess all that's left on the agenda is the ol' disclaimer:

In short; by reading my dream journal, you are hereby in agreement to forfeit the right to use any
information or situations, herein, against me...for any reason...under any circumstances...
    ...Ever.

(After all, they are just dreams.)

    Enjoy.

All I remember is that I woke up to some guys coming into my house, like they owned the place. I think they were supposed to be of some relation to my landlord and his son. They pretty much just made themselves comfortable, as if they were going to be staying for quite some time - one of them posting up in my windowsill and just gazing reverently at the outside world. I also remember that I was on the second floor of a two-story house.

      Dream Two:
      "Pencildragon"
      (Lucid)

I was at some outdoor carnival or festival, held out in some rural field at dusk. Munching on cotton candy while I walked, I spontaneously realized that I was dreaming. Immediately, I was surprised at how much I could smell and taste the cotton candy (I have very few experiences with tastes and smells in lucid dreams), and even though the dream already felt very clear and grounded, I decided to take a few moments to touch my surroundings, running my hand along the wooden frame of a wooden kiosk nearby. Raising my free hand up in front of my face, I saw that my fingers were very wavy, which was a bit at odds with the solidity of everything else around me.

Quickly, I tried to think of what I had planned to do with my lucidity once attained it, before I'd gone to bed. I remembered the 'Tasks of the Month' and that I wanted to try the pencil task (which was to "ask a pencil to draw something for you"). I turned back to the kiosk, expecting to find a pad and pencil there, in which I could do the experiment. Sitting atop the counter, I found a pad and a few, loose, colored pencils. I picked up one pencil - blue, I believe - and set it in the center of the pad. Without speaking, I attempted to "will" the pencil to draw something for me. The only thing I remember, about the actual process, was the pencil moving back and forth and making a few scribbles, but it ended up drawing a (quite simplistic) dragon. (One of the art pieces I have been brainstorming on, in waking life, has been a dragon. I haven't yet drawn the final draft, but I did draw a dragon thumbnail, about a week ago).

Satisfied that I had completed the task, I took to the air and flew away from the carnival to do some exploring. While flying over the wide, green fields of the early evening countryside, I looked below me to see an actual dragon, roaming around the landscape and idly blowing plumes of fire at random. It had sort of a cartoonish, video game feel to it (I had been playing PlayStation VR, before bed - no dragon games, though), and felt as if it was just a manifestation of the dragon that was drawn on the paper. I decided not to bother with the creature and continued flying over the field. I don't really remember anything afterward.

(I was attempting to complete Hukif's Lucid Dare; challenging me to fight Spider-Man, without the aid of Lucid Powers. After waking up and doing a few brain-teasers, at about 5 a.m., I went back to sleep with the intention of finding and fighting Spider-Man.)

I was at an outdoor festival with friends. A specific girl I was chilling with was absolutely gorgeous (tall, exotic, dirty-blonde hair. Reminded me a little of AP), and we were getting really cozy; hugged up on each other and dozing off while I was rubbing my fingers along her thigh.

      Dream Two
      "Coke Challenge"

I had a false awakening, where I woke in my Canterbury bedroom. There was barely any light coming in through the window, but I could tell that the room was different (from my present one), but couldn't recognize how. While I was trying to figure it out, a young boy walked into my room, immediately alarming me because I always keep my door locked when I sleep.

He stood in the shadows of the doorway, trying to grab my attention, talking about how I should come and try the "coke (cocaine) and [something?]" that he'd just made. I sat up in bed and started questioning him about who he was and how the Hell he got into my room. He seemed to try to avoid my questions, remaining suspiciously quiet and just standing at the open doorway.

"This is a dream, isn't it?" I asked, rhetorically.

The moment I became lucid, the dream transitioned (or ended).

      Dream Three
      "Superhero Scapegoat"

I was back with the girl from the original dream, and we were walking down the sidewalk of a city street. There was a bank, off to our left, and we turned to step inside...walking right into the middle of a bank robbery in progress.

The thieves were running in and out of the back of the bank, taking turns leaving carts of money for short periods, before coming back in and grabbing as much more as they could. I don't remember actually seeing any employees or customers. With one of the carts being near to us, my lady-friend and I simply couldn't resist grabbing onto the handles and rushing over to the door with the cart, trying to wheel the money out. (Not that I would have ever done that, in waking life, but it was just made sense, in the dream. Lol.)

There was some cloth hanging from the car (with a design on it like the gray and black plaid on my PJ pants) and it got stuck in a closing door on our way out. Before we could get ourselves unstuck, a man with a gun appeared before us. It was the alleged 'boss' of this operation, and he was looking to get onto us about trying to steal 'his' money. I also remember that there was some lackey helping him out, a midget who was dressed in some sort of animal costume. He didn't stay long, though.

The crime boss, ironically, turned us in to the police, convincing them that we were the ones who orchestrated and executed the entire heist. Strangely enough, though, he said that there was one other person helping us: Spider-Man.

While we were being escorted toward the police station, so was the Webslinger. He was surrounded by about a dozen officers with automatic weapons trained on him, walking solemnly toward the front steps of the precinct. I could see a large, armored vehicle nearby, which is what I think they delivered him in. Even with his mask on, I could tell by his body language that he seemed completely defeated and dejected while they ushered him to jail.

That's the last thing I remember.

      (Damn! So close! )

      Dream Fragment One:

I was in some large, cylindrical chamber, and had just 'acquired' a bad-ass, jet-black racing motorcycle. I spent a little while in this chamber, spinning the tires and riding up and down elevations in the architecture. Later, I had gotten the bike on the night road, and was riding along side some friend of mine, but don't remember the rest.

      Dream Fragment Two (I think):
(I'm pretty sure this was a separate dream, but can't say that I'm certain.) I was with BR, T and maybe one or two other friends. We were riding BMX bikes and jumping some dirt ramps in the woods. At one point, BR jumped off a short ramp and didn't quite clear the gap, but was able to jump his feet off of the pedals with enough time to catch himself on the elevated platform, before falling back down into the gap. A short time afterward, I was going back the other way - jumping from the elevated platform, and using the short ramp as a catch ramp - and caught my front tire on the catch ramp, face-planting in the dirt. I remember getting up and wondering about how strange it was that it didn't hurt, though I wasn't aware enough to become lucid.

      Dream Fragment One:

I was splitting two adjacent hotel rooms between myself and about 4 girls, some of whom I recognized - some I didn't. It was just all kinds of fun. Lol. I really don't remember all that much, besides all having a lot of laughs as we moved from room to room, and then sharing a bed with two of them, when it was time to crash. The next morning, something happened to where we found out that there were some people after us, and the 3 of us in the room I was in had to use some secret tunnel to take us from our room and (somehow) across the hall to the other room, so that we wouldn't be there when our pursuers busted in our door.

      Dream Two:
      "Pre-emptive Scare"

One of those strange "in-between" dreams, where you can't tell if you're fully-awake, dreaming, or just having some hypnopompic hallucinations...)
I was lying in bed with my eyes closed, facing the wall, when I heard my mom getting ready for work and talking to my daughter out in the hallway. I then heard someone messing with my doorknob, which is locked. Then, I heard CJ whispering to my mom to unlock the door, so she could come in and scare me while I was sleeping. Somewhat smiling at myself at this, I decided to play possum for a minute, to see if she would really try.

The door quietly creaked open. I could hear it from behind me as I continue to face the wall with my eyes shut. I began wondering if this was really happening, because it was so out of the ordinary (my daughter would have never unlocked my door to come in my room), but the more I questioned it, the clearer I heard her feet softly shuffling across the carpet toward my bed. Still not really sure whether I was really awake or not, I turned really quickly and sort of half-shouted "raaah!" at where I knew she would be.

But she wasn't there, and I was now fully-awake, and staring at an empty room, feeling a little foolish for having tried to scare someone who wasn't there.

(As much as I'm fascinated by those 'threshold-of-waking' tricks that our minds play on us, they do have a way of making you feel stupid when you fall for them. Lol.)

      "Canyon Rock"

(There was so much in this dream that I don't remember. =/ I know that I was trying to complete the Grand Canyon task in the "Warriors of Dreamviews" thread, and that I became lucid at many points throughout the dream, but there is so much that was just plain forgotten...)

Most of the 'beginning' of the dream was just exploratory; walking around the streets at night. Not sure what city I was in. During this time, I became lucid. I remember being in a park area and trying to walk through a chain-link fence. It kept resisting, as if this were waking life, even though I kept reminding myself that it was a dream. I tried to relax a little bit and sort of 'forget' about the fence, in order to walk through it. I began to sink into it a little bit, but I was still having a lot of trouble actually getting through it. On the other side of the fence, I could see a man standing across the street. He was laughing at me, watching me try to walk through this fence, and it beginning to agitate me.

With a bit more determination, I forced myself through the fence - without breaking it, I believe, but am not sure - and walked over to this guy. Unfortunately, I can't remember quite how I exacted my revenge on him, but I did.

Later, I was in someone's apartment, again just wandering around, taking in the lucid scenery, thinking of what to do next. Throughout the dream, I used the nose-plug reality check often, which was fresh in my mind after having been talking to IvyCloud about it, keeping me attuned to the fact that I was still dreaming. Looking at the bed, I noticed that the sheets were the color of sand, which made me think of a desert. I then thought about the Dream Warriors task, and that one of them was in the Grand Canyon. Trying to figure the best way of teleporting to that kind of scene, I ended up just staring at the bedsheets, letting the print fill my field of vision. Soon, it was like I was looking down upon a desert area, from the sky. The image grew wider and closer in my perspective, until my feet touched down upon the sand as if I had just dropped out of flight. Raising my eyes to my surroundings, I saw that I was suddenly in the wide, yellow desert surrounding the canyon, and there was a fierce battle raging around me, involving tanks, RPGs, ATV's and other toys.

The last thing I remember was doing the nose-plug check one more time, being able to breathe, and then rushing in to join the battle.

      "Makin' Hulk Angry"

I was with my best friend T, and...the Hulk. We were in a building, that I believe might have been an apartment, and there was (another) face-less, name-less enemy faction closing in to cause all kinds of trouble. (Isn't there always?) So, for some reason, the Hulk was reluctant to fight. The three of us were standing in the living room, and T and I were trying to get Hulk worked up, so that he would take out all of these bad guys who were about to descend upon us. For some reason, though, he was just really mopey and depressed and insecure, almost like he was Banner trapped in Hulk's body. Then, we said something that touched a nerve - I think it had to do with something that we knew happened to his parents that (conveniently) had to do with these villains that we were about to face.

That triggered a reaction in him, and we could see that infamous scowl begin to return to his face. I can't (now) remember what the dialogue actually was, but we kept on pressing, mercilessly recounting to him all the details of what these enemies have done to his family in the past. We were bombarding him with horrible memories, our tone increasing with each emotional hit we gave him. We could almost see his blood boiling. He began to absolutely quake with anger, huge white teeth baring down upon each other, in the open. He looked as if he were literally about to explode.

Finally, not being able to take it anymore, Hulk suddenly let out a thunderous roar, bent his legs and then, enraged, jumped straight up into the air like a rocket, tearing through the many floors above us and leaving a gaping hole all the way through the top of the building. T and I looked at each other and grinned, knowing that - whomever these clowns were that were looking to attack us - they were in for a world of hurt.

      "Stack Shack"

I was trying to help someone get a lot of shit off of their roof. There was literally a teetering column of random junk towering high on top of the house, completely nonsensically. There was an open bag near the top of the pile, which someone was trying to get down. Finally, I just climbed up onto the high platform of random clothes, furniture, etc; trying to pull the bag down. However, no one would help me get it down without dropping it. (Something told me it was fragile, but I can't remember why.) Everyone was pretty much acting like a bunch of stooges. People were jumping from one spot on the roof to another, and I was pretty sure someone was going to fall through, any time, now. It never happened, though.

Later, I was partying with a bunch of friends, and we were using some battery operated glow-sticks. I remember two girls that I was in the hotel with, and I had invited to dinner. I can't remember who they were, exactly, but I think one of them was LAK.

      Fragment

I was deep in the woods. I don't remember exactly what was going on, but I was with someone, and we were being chased by some humanoid creature. It had this alien-ish technology, and was blasting away at us, while we ran for cover. I don't remember ever seeing the weapon, or any bursts of light from the discharge. The only proof that he was actually fire at us were that the trees around us were exploding, sequentially, as if some invisible rounds were blowing the slender trunks apart; missing our fleeing bodies by only a couple of feet at a time.

      Fragment One

I was in an enormous food court, filled with people. The only thing I really remember is trying to get some Chinese food, and the woman behind the counter didn't speak a lick of English. It took forever to get her to understand what I wanted. I tried to say something to her in Chinese, and had to repeat it 3 or 4 times before I realized I was speaking to her in Spanish, and not Chinese (which makes sense, since I don't really know any Chinese/Mandarin).

      Fragment Two
Something about a shooting? I had to kill someone, for some reason that I can't remember. I believe it was self defense, because I remember being really upset about having to gun this person down. They had gotten drawn into some situation that involved and XBox360, I think. I remember a sign which said to turn off all 360 'transponders,' so that no more people would come, whatever the hell that meant.
