    1. Dreamland: Crawlspace at Grandmas

      by , 12-18-2012 at 08:26 AM
A small but important dream I had within the last week. It was vivid enough to remember with certainty, but I only recall a tiny fragment:

I'm standing in my Grandmothers hallway with my first cousin Matthew (a cousin from the other side of the family). He is a full grown adult and looks matured. He also looks like he survived a war. His childhood friend is with us, he is also a full grown adult, and I mention this because I never saw them as adults.

Matthew shows me the hallway has a trapdoor in the side, leading to a part of the house that does not exist in waking life. It looks scary, and we are forced to crawl through a corridor fit for an animal.

There is a green light, and a red light in the hall. It widens into a traditional sized hallway blocked by a door. I notice the paint is badly chipped and looks hyper realistic. Chained up in front of a wooden door is a zombie Doberman-pincher straight out of Resident Evil. Matt's friend reacts with serious intensity, raises a 12-gauge shotgun and points it at the undead dog. I remember thinking I should have a shotgun too...

      --I woke up.

After this dream, I suddenly remembered how many dreams I've had in this hallway. Scores that I didn't recall at any point in the past two years. This could be the first hallway I had nightmares about. It was always poorly light.. The attic from this house appear in two other dreams posted at Dreamviews.

    2. Fragments: Driving Tip, Fight, Sand vs. Monster

      by , 07-08-2012 at 12:32 AM
These dream fragments are not especially interesting. The monster was boring and cartoonish, but there were a few interesting elements. Once again it featured a realistic looking apartment complex.

Dream#1: I was with my GF in a wooded area. I remember she was driving some kind of Jeep. She backed out of a parking spot without looking and we narrowly avoided colliding with a black SUV driven by an older woman. I tell her: "Always look in the rear-view mirror while in reverse." I was annoyed we almost got hit but I dropped it. [She doesn't have a car in waking life --or this may have been forgotten.]

At some point shortly after this, I tell her I forgot something in my room. I don't recall what this was but I remember being worried about going to my room alone. I ran up several flights of stairs without feeling any tiredness. It felt exhilarating. I lived in a apartment complex and my room looked a bit dark. I recall grabbing a square wooden plaque, painted red, with a square gold engraved plate. Which I might have considered my cell phone?? --Things go hazy here.

In the same outdoor setting as the above fragment my GF, and we are walking down a wooded road. There are some sandy banks along the side of the roads and we are barefoot like we are heading to the beach. Oozing down the road up ahead, and heading towards us, is a beige slimy mass a little like the blob with ugly mouths and knobs that looked nose-like.

We run up the sandbars to get out of the way, and the thing changes directions to follow us. I started kicking sand onto it. It didn't seem threatened by heavy amounts of sand in its mouths and that made me start to feel nervous about being barefoot...

Dream#2: I was at a sporting event at a local gym. Not something I have done since Jr. High. I was laying on a table against the wall of the gym. (Laying on table like beds is officially a motif.) The place was packed, I don't recall what sport was being played but I recall yellow uniforms and lots of courts filled with different games. I noticed my best friend Joe making his way towards me around the crowds. I didn't react until he was about 20ft away then I jumped up to greet him.

At first things were cool. Then my GF showed him a puppy we had with us and he acted like he was going to step on it and crush it under his foot. I was outraged and lashed out. I grabbed him hard by the shirt and jacket and told him: he had no right to harm a puppy because he was in a bad mood about life. [He actually loves animals.]

    3. Nightmare: Terror Garden

      by , 04-07-2011 at 08:14 AM
This dream occurred about 90-minutes after going to bed in the first REM stage. I took a liquid gel multivitamin and 500mg of B5 before bed.

My GF and I were playing a cooperative video game. I remember fighting a giant turtle like monster and she was getting overwhelmed and overly excited playing it. The visuals were very 3D, even holographic, and her character was able to paint cross-hairs on the beast. (There was no fear attached to this part of the dream.)

We decided to go out. It was nighttime outside and all the street lamps were off. My GF was suddenly afraid. The darkness was making me apprehensive too which is not normal. I went to close my car door and it wouldn't shut. I moved the seat belt a little thinking it was caught. Then slammed the door even harder, but it bounced even more.

I looked down at the frame and discovered my wallet and cell phone were lodged there. I figured my phone was broke, but for some reason I didn't want to stay in my drive for another moment. I slammed my car into reverse, in a maneuver to shut the door finally using a hard left spin.

We jammed down my darkened block and near the end on the right hand side standing in front of a car was a cowering German Shepard dog. It was crouched, and it was trembling with fear wetting the street in front of the curb with urine. This was a big healthy looking animal, scared out of its wits.

We drove further and came to near to the spot of my last posted dream Neighborhood: Magic Garden. Standing in the middle of the road was deranged looking huge Rottweiler dog. It was starring me down hard. I rolled down the window this time to attempt to lighten the atmosphere with puppy talk. It just rolled its head, looking at me dead in the eyes with barely contained hostility.

We drove past and reached the exact spot of my last posted dream Neighborhood: Magic Garden There, kitty-corner to where the magic garden had been was a decimated house with the entire front end smashed wide open. I could see a couple inside. Dead. Nude. Frozen in positions of absolute horror on their sofa.

Turning down that street and driving further, the entire block was covered with thick green moss, huge fallen trees, and ripped apart houses. I could hear a massive number of frogs in the distance.

--At this point I whimpered out loud and it woke me up. My heart was racing, I was terrified, and I could still hear the din of hoards of frogs in the distance... The sound faded and it merged with my air filter which was set on low.

I don't have time to post my next dream from last night, it was much more terrifying and extremely realistic.

    4. Precongitive (WILD): Lucid Animals

      by , 03-16-2011 at 08:40 AM
I have been getting interrupted sleep the past several nights. I casually decided I could use this to enter REM instantly upon closing my eyes. I did this once recently while stressed out (Night Hike on a Freeway). This might be the first dream I ever remembered in which I was aware of being asleep prior to the dreaming beginning.

I saw an image emerging from the blackness. It looked almost like a small flower shaped hole in the dark. I could see a well light sepia tone scene emerging on the other side of it. -I became so excited at viewing a dream form from blackness that I woke up.

I laid still. I was determined to re-enter the dream. I have never re-entered a dream to my recollection. This may not have been the same dream, but the vibe was similar.

I was in the blackness, awake. A fully detailed dream location appeared. I was standing in the middle of the street looking at an old friends house I walk past on a regular basis. I lost lucidity for a moment. Then, as I watched, all these animals started to emerge from around the property. Raccoon's, cats, and then an adorable looking squirrel came hopping in my general direction. "This is a dream!" I said as soon as I saw it. (This moment is almost identical to: Super Lucid Blackbird Flying) I was thrilled. I turned around to take in the whole scene.

When I looked to my left, there charging happily towards me were four large shaggy dogs: Black, White, Burgundy, and Golden. I was so shocked by the closeness - I instantly woke up. (*)

Again I was laying in bed. I didn't move a muscle. This was not a feat of willpower, I was super tired. But internally determined to keep the dreams rolling.

I was in the blackness awake again. I saw a distorted face emerging a few inches in front of me. All at once, a mirror appeared and I was looking into it at close range. This sounds scary, but I was lucid. I started making various expression in the mirror. I looked more handsome than in real life. My skin was perfect and my flaws were gone.

(*PRECOGNITIVE*) When I woke up, I needed to pass that same house. I was planning to make it a good "reality check point." As I arrived I smiled. Looked at the house, then, I looked across the street. -My jaw dropped. Right there, about 25-35-ft ahead of where I saw them: Three medium sized dogs, black, white, golden - being walked by a 30-something woman wearing a hat.

The burgundy colored dog was missing. The real dogs were medium sized not large. I don't recall ever seeing this group of dogs before, although it's possible. I usually do pay attention to the friendly animals I cross paths with in my neighborhood.

In my first dream journal there was a tiny percentage of dreams that weren't quite precognitive, more like educated guesses Dream: 037 & Dream: 067. This 4-dogs dream is the first dream I'm aware of featuring:

      1) So many different dogs together I don't know.
      2) About 75% accurate and did occur asap almost at the exact location as in the dream.

I learned over the years that dreams produce: abstractions of people, mind tricks, fake conversations, illusions, distortions, false memories, etc. I never gave precognitive dreams much serious thought.

Supplements (before bed): 500mg of B5, and 200mg B6. First time trying this combination. I usually take one or the other. Generally, I've found these vitamins help with recall, but cause more shallow dreaming. This dream is consistent in general with past experiences without taking supplements.
