Thanks for the nice comment, LinkZelda.

I like your dreams a lot, too. Actually, I think your dream from a few days ago made me really interested in Code Lyoko.

I think about this stuff every now and then. But I don't know why it popped up last night. I don't know if I'd try to go back to the dream and find out more. Honestly, I think I'd be too afraid to find out I'd forgotten a whole bunch of stuff from my life!

I sometimes read books about the paranormal -- mostly psychic research and UFO research. It seems like people mention MK-ULTRA a lot in books on UFO research because the creepy experiences that people had with MK-ULTRA (and were then made to forget) could be mistaken for the creepy experiences people attribute to alien abductions.

What's interesting to me is the idea of people having "new" memories: suddenly remembering a bunch of things that had happened to them that they had no idea about. It just seems like it would be a horrifying experience, to think that your life-narrative was smooth and continuous, then have the past "broken into" like that.

Carlos Castaneda talks about something similar in the Don Juan books. He'll suddenly remember a bunch of training he'd gone through years ago with Don Juan, but which he wasn't ready to remember yet. And Charles Fort has a similar idea, but in the physical world, not the mind, that he calls an "abrupt transition."

I knew the two of us had ship dreams pretty close together. But I didn't make the connection between missing ship in the article and the missing ship my dream. That's pretty cool.

Hey! You had a ship dream on the same day I did And yours was about a missing ship like in the article you showed me. Did you even notice that? Lol. How funny

Wow that's insane about the CIA MK-ULTRA program. I don't think it would be limited to only Canadians either. If it was a covert operation with a high potential of coverup by saying it was abandoned... I just assume that's the tip of a very large iceberg. I wonder if what you saw in dreaming was true and if so, if you remember that much, how much more could you uncover. I get that maybe you already know something about it so your mind might fill in the blanks, but how the mind chooses to fill in gaps and what it comes up with still has a reasoning behind it.

I like that you were able to piece bits of information together. From what you already said it sounds like things you wouldn't want to experience or remember so who knows how much you would want to dig into that. But it sounds like there's still a desire to know either way. Are you planning to pursue this and was this a goal to dream about? Or was is just something that happened and you're not trying to attempt again?

Since that was a legit program though, I wonder if there are ways to combat that sort of mind manipulation. Clearly it would be difficult if someone was spiking your food or drink with LSD ... but it would still be interesting and maybe useful to know how to remain formiddable in mental awareness and will.

      Hi Kaomea.

Why'd that get a '(!)' ? What was unusual about that? It seemed to trigger a side thought which isn't expanded upon. Now I'm curious.
I gave that part a (!) because while I was writing, I found it strange that in my dream the airport had suddenly been conveniently located just right down the road.

You can tell the days when I'm really hating myself, because even though I won't write against the dream, I'll put (!) and (???) at the end of everything. I also put "quote marks" around things that probably don't need to be in quotes.

The mind control aspect is interesting. I was discussing something similar yesterday. In fact, I noticed a handful of similarities.
That's really cool that there were similarities!

I think mind control popped into my dream because I've been reading Phantasms of the Living, by Edmund Gurney. It was the first book published by the Society for Psychical Research -- I think it was published in 1886. The book is free for downloading on Google Books.

The book is mostly about reports the SPR received from correspondents who'd seen apparitions of people at moments of crisis, often at or near death. The figures were like ghosts. But they were of living people.

But the first few chapters of the book are a kind of discussion of scientific telepathy experiments. A lot of them deal with hypnotism and telepathic mind-control -- although it's not called mind-control in the book.

Thank you for your comments. Have a good day!

Hiya maboroshi! Nice entry, couple inquiries though.

We followed the plane with our eyes as it headed to the local airport, which was just at the end of this business street (!). We began walking in the direction of the airport.
Why'd that get a '(!)' ? What was unusual about that? It seemed to trigger a side thought which isn't expanded upon. Now I'm curious.

I said, "Good for you, then. Go. And I hope you have a good life."
Aww that was unselfish of you, heh

I was in bed, kissing some girl on the crotch of her yellow, cotton panties. At some point, though, the woman turned into my mother.
I hate it when that happens...

EDIT: The mind control aspect is interesting. I was discussing something similar yesterday. In fact, I noticed a handful of similarities.

Thanks, WDr, for the nice comment.

My strategy for recall is practise, most of all. Writing down dreams every day that I remember them. But also, doing tons of reading. I seem to have my best dreams after I've read a lot during the day. I guess it just helps my imagination.

Yeah, I laughed when I woke up from that dream, too. I didn't know lucid dreams had switchboard operators. But okay.

I barely get lucid in my dreams. But I find that I get lucid most often when, in the dream, I'm alone in a house or room. Once I'm lucid, I always have trouble getting outdoors. But the switchboard operator in this dream had to be the weirdest block that I've had so far.

I was about to penetrate through the wall when something stopped me. A very polite woman's voice spoke to me through telepathy. It said, "We're sorry, but at this moment we cannot access the outdoor scene you would like to experience. Would you like to have a Gothic lucid dream instead?"
That's seriously messed up How dare they try to limit your creative mind! Lol... I got a good laugh out of that.

The man told me, "You just go into places, like bookstores and libraries, and you seek out these guys, don't you? You don't know who they are. But you know what you're looking for. And you find them.
Aww that's cute of him to say that. I wish I had people like that popping up in my dreams... people who I have real conversations with, motivational/reflective ones. I miss that.

Nice recall and color, seems like you have a nice visible spectrum.

That's pretty cool that your dream was similar. But it sucks that you've been in those situations. I'm surprised too -- so many people seem to have really awful bosses nowadays!
