Welcome back, Sandman, great to see you back at it! Congratulations on getting lucid!

You were really rocking the SSILD last time we talked and I'm sure you'll get it all back once you get your consistency going again.

Looking forward to seeing more of these in your journal!

Thanks mel. Yeah, the short lucidity was disappointing, but I try to focus on the positive. I keep track of my lucids on the profile page by year like this:

      17 + 3 extremely short

Then I increase each number based on whether a lucid was a decent length or just a short experience.

...and yeah, pulling out the cops heart was just an extension of punching him. There was no animosity or anything really. It was just something to do.

Oh, and the breast feeding was also a false memory. I was totally disgusted by this relationship on both sides.

BTW, have you heard of SSILD? The cycling I refer to is SSILD related. The technique is easy and makes total sense. I highly recommend.

Glad the hand RC worked, though sad to hear lucidity didn't last long. What made you think about pulling out the heart? Was it the chest-punching or some other desire?

      Vegan breast-feeding...wow. :O

Thanks Canis. I guess if I'm going to push it hard on someone else, I need to be serious about it myself. It never ceases to amaze me how I can attribute a lucid to two or more completely plausible causes.

      Also, lol!

I think you guys should make it like a "choose your own adventure game" like how the Mass Effect game works. Each choice you make in the game could affect the games story in a bad way or a good way or if someones talking to you, You could have the choice to be nice or be a total ass just for laughs... a good example of this is in the game "Mass Effect 2"

Welcome back, Sandman! Glad to hear that you're planning on getting back in action with the LDing. Sounds like those SSILD cycles are still working well for you!

And now that you've discovered the joys of fulminated mercury, the dreamworld will never be safe again.

It's funny the stuff that we get hung up wanting to do in LDs sometimes.
Very true. This was the one part I thought about while logging to see if I should mark as non-lucid. I decided to keep it in dark blue because I had it in my mind to pursue my interest on the side, but yeah, that wasn't the most lucid portion of the dream.

You know, the night before I had mentioned in DVirc I was on a dry spell. I mention this because I see that as a stimuli.

Congratulations on the LD! Action, exploration, and pure fun. Just my style.

She left, and I ended up trying to explain to another girl whom I was not interested in, the difference between a 1964, '69, and 70 half dollar.
Man, you are smooth with those DCs. Just kidding. It's funny the stuff that we get hung up wanting to do in LDs sometimes.

      Cool dream!

I'm on it. 10Q for the link.

Do you not drink any caffeine drinks purely for enjoyment? I'll talk more about this in the thread.

Oh! Sure thing... he created the thread under the "Research" section of the forum. Here it is: http://www.dreamviews.com/research/1...e-trigger.html

I'm a participant in this thread, so I generlaly play w/ caffeine once per week myself.

Don't know that thread, but I certainly could post in the caffeine thread...and would.

I'm sorry about the tension between you and your brother but I'm very happy that you got to have this experience then.

Cool, you are really on a hot streak! Looking forward to reading it. You should consider posting it up in the caffeine thread!

      Thanks Canis!

When I woke up, I was still very tired, so yeah, just cycled and happened to fall asleep. I know that it is not necessarily going to work that way, but this method allows me to catch SP more easily than just pot-luck napping.

I know it seems hard to believe, but I swear I cycled in an FA. It shouldn't really be any different than doing an RC.

I did get lucky with my brother, but more than you know. We don't talk IWL. When I dream of him, it's usually really bad.

Anyway, I had another last night. I wonder if it didn't have to do with a caffeine overload. I saw a post by Xanous about a caffeine experiment, so now I don't know. I couldn't sleep last night hardly at all. Anyway, thanks for reading.

Very nice, man... hitting those SSILD cycles "between dreams" like that really seemed to do the trick for you! You just did a couple cycles and didn't worry about trying to slip back to sleep or anything like that, right? Just sort of automatically went under? I've had something like that happen before, but it wasn't nearly so smooth as this. Good stuff.

It's cool that you got to hang out so much with your brother's DC. He seemed to be super cooperative for the most part and had no problem following along with your lucid playtime. That's cool. Loved ones can be a bit of a mixed bag for me. They are always fun and interesting but often reluctant to participate in lucid stuff.

And LOL @ your 2 mph Ferrari.

I get what you mean about wanting to treat lucids as special when you're journaling. That's why I just put lucids in my DreamViews DJ but I record all of my NLDs offline in Google Drive.

The downside of this approach is having stuff in two places. The upside is not subjecting everyone to any really boring dreams. Or subjecting myself to feeling awkward journaling up a really embarrassing NLD.

      Canis,

I don't journal my NLDs. I know I should, and I've had a few good ones, but that's OK. Maybe I'll start.

Man, that all sounds great! I'm thrilled that you're having so much success. I guess you're still journaling your NLDs offline, though, right? You always had some good NLDs as well... it'd be a shame to lose those!

Thanks for the kind words and I'm really glad to hear that SSILD is fitting so well for you! I've been using MILD lately but I always got tons of results out of SSILD! I will definitely have to check out that chain.

Haha! Yea, I did enjoy singing John Denver! I'm glad you've sung in a dream before so you know the deal.

I've actually been dreaming, yeah, but I started to log only my lucids. It may be a double edged sword. I don't log my dreams, which I used to enjoy, but I have told my mind that I better have some lucids or I won't be journaling at all. Then again, I've been improving my lucid count every year, so that may have nothing to do with it. Either way, I'm glad to have reason to be back on journaling also, and good to talk to you again.

You were such an integral part of my recent success. I had a great night last night. I chained, and in one I cycled during an FA. It was ridiculous! I'm so glad you told me about SSILD. It's easy, and it seems to work.

LOL. I'm sorry that your singing voice was so bad! I'm glad that you had fun playing John Denver anyway. it's fun isn't it?

Congratulations on the lucid! It's good to see you round the dream journal section! Had your dream life been going ok the past few weeks?
