      Wow, that was a really cool trick with that mirror! Never could manage that, myself...

      I just had my 1st ld two days ago, isnt it incredible... I cant believe the detail you see when conscious in sleep... Great read btw.
      Nice! My 1st lucid was also a special experience, it's always a real breakthrough. In some of my dreams I even felt more details than I did in real life, though that still happens rarely.

      Yeah, I've been meaning to make a separate journal about her for weeks but didn't get to it so far, but your comment gave me another kick in that direction and now I finally made the journal that explains her.

      What to do when a monkey steals your bike? Destroy the world, of course.

      Omigosh I had a dream where unlocking my phone with a complex pattern password made me Lucid! xD
      Nice! For me it was the first time a smartphone made any larger appearance in any of my dreams so far.

      Thanks! I didn't have a lucid during the fourth night in a row, but 3 is already a record, and I'll get to 4 in a row or more eventually as well. And usually my mind seems to be so resistant to outside influences, it at time made me wonder if anything else than hard drugs or something of that caliber could even make me feel a difference, so this is quite the nice turn of events

      3 days in a row I sleep with Chakra aligned minerals beside my bed, and 3 days in a row do I get lucid. Did the minerals help? I have a healthy amount of skepticism, but the results really speak for them self and the speak is more than just a bit statistically significant. Whether they 'purify my energy' or just cause a positive psychological reaction, I'll believe in the positive results.
      I have always shared a similar view on using these sorts of methods for lucid dreaming. Wether it is some kind of spiritual energy or just a sugar-pill style placebo, if it works for you, go for it.

      Glad to hear your lucidity went on for thirty-forty minutes. That is quite a long time. Good job.

      Well, I've tried shared dreaming a lot with my girlfriend, so far without success though, and this was not a shared dream with her. Knowing my brain and the fact that whatever I once try to learn never rests, even when I stopped evenconsciously thinking about it, that might have contributed to me doing it randomly.
      If it was a real shared dream. Unfortunately I would not know whom it was shared with, but I figure if it was shared the 'owner' of the dream must've been one of those sitting in the round. Maybe it was that someone whom I kept above water.

      Also my assumptions about it not being my dream within the dream came in the shape of what I'd call "Infused Knowledge", where I know things within the dream without them ever appearing themselves. This infused knowledge also is MUCH more reslient to being forgotten, often leaving me with entire consistent background stories after a dream.

      Interesting.

      Do you know whose's dream this might be? If so, ask him/her if there is a recall and what is recalled,maybe it was a dream share!

      Yeah, it was somewhat special, and it was not too scary since I never felt I could die, I was just worried that dropping from the sky with an elevator could be unpleasant.
      Wish I would've focused more on my surroundings during the falling scene, I missed the moment I left the clouds.

      That sounds great. The scene with the elevator in the clouds - while scary - was beautiful, I'd bet!

      Well maybe I did, my girlfriend has served as a proper DG at least once, and I did the same in one or more of her dreams, as she was present that may also be a reason summoning couldn't have worked. Who knows but someday my dreams will tell.

      @Galastro -

      Yes, basically what StaySharp said. It all depends on what you believe. Some think it is an actual guardian angel type being that exists in another realm of consciousness, some believe its just an advanced dream character that you form sub consciously to help you better understand your dreams/ inner self. There are beliefs everywhere in between as well. For example, I believe that they are an advanced form of Dream Character, that acts on its own and is largely uncontrollable by the dreamer. An equal, and a friend to show you around.

      I'd link you some cool articles but... I can't link yet - too new. Just google around and you'll find some, and I'm sure there are some right on this site!

      @StaySharp -

      Ahh.... Still not sure I fully understand the difference between a normal dream guide and your interpretation! I just know that it isn't possible to summon the generally accepted dream guide, and that you have to find them. Have you found your normal dream guide yet?

      Oh, maybe I should have clarified that I have a different definition of dream and spirit guide. What I was trying to summon was rather some kind of internal dream guide, a piece of myself. I already thought about whether my attempts in summoning somehow went into the wrong direction, or whether I maybe should try that then sometimes. I'll edit the DJ to clarify my thoughts, thanks for leaving this comment

      Oh and as for a spirit/dream guide: They are basically like a DC that actually constantly exists in your head, which can in your dreams exert a certain behaviour, you may give you useful tips or stuff like that. Not sure that explanation fits, there should be many posts and even tutorials flying around somewhere on DV

      Guys, can you light me up on "spirit guide"
      What/who is that, and what it does?

      I'm not an expert in all of this spirit guide business, but I'm pretty sure trying to "summon" your spirit guide is a bit like blasphemy. You can't summon them, you have to find them. Spirit guides are really something mystical from what I understand. They will seek you out, or you have to go to great lengths to find them. Honestly, I think your spirit guide felt you trying to summon them, and played a wise-ass trick on you, teleporting a piece of wood to you hahaha.

      To find a spirit guide, I hear the best way is to round up huge amounts of dream characters and to demand three times that your spirit guide step forward. Maybe try this next time?

      I'm sure you have a spirit guide, you just have to try harder, or they will find you

      Well I felt the dream ending already but was clinging so hard to it I saw it "minimizing" instead of ending and then point I kinda asked my subconsciousness how the stability is looking at that point for fun, so I'm pretty sure that wasn't the problem. What's really bad is that even though I saw it minimizing without starting to notice the real world I didn't prepare for a false awakening
      Then again it proves there is always something new to learn, maybe I'm prepared next time
