I'm trying putting a full line of space between my paragraphs.

I recall a very odd dream where I was staying with Varrick (from LOK) only he was a real person and not a cartoon. He accidentally unleashed this experimental gas into his house and everyone started running to escape.

Everyone got into the elevator. It was so full and it moved so slow that I decided to take the stairs. I ran down to what I thought was ground level but I couldn't find the exit outside. I was in this huge stucco complex with a glass dome over it. It was supposedly something Varrick had created; a small city for all of his workers and visitors. I continued running and eventually found the exit.

      ...

At the end of the dream everything became cartoon like again. In fact I think that I had escaped and was watching a cartoon. Varrick was flying in the air and the lower half of his body and legs were robotic; complete with rocket boots allowing flight. He laughed and stated indirectly that he was going to be a villain now.

I was on DV. I was looking at DJ entries I had posted the last couple days and they were all really long. I remember in one of them I had to scroll through three or four screens just to get through the non lucid portion of the dream, then another two or three screens for the lucid portion. It was all written in the way I would normally write a long dream. Dialogue with DCs, Couple of smileys here and there. A picture or two.

There were tons of comments on these bloated DJ entries too. I think the one with the most had 22 separate comments. None of them were replies from me or anything; they were all from different users.

Kinda funny that being on a dry spell this is the exact opposite of what my DJ entries end up looking like. (Though even if I wasn't on a dry spell my dreams have never been that long or complex... I sure wish they were... ) Though I wonder if I can use this little dream for autosuggestion...

      I hate dry spells.

Something to do with me playing Minecraft. I had built this large house with a whole bunch of doors on one wall. When night came monsters began pouring in because I forgot to close the doors. At one point a creeper blew open the wall and mobs began coming in the hole as well.

Some cartoonist was showing me drawings and animations of how he had pulled pranks on his roommates in college. One of them involved cutting open a tube of toothpaste.

I had a long dream about my family going on vacation in a tropical destination, and of course pretty much the whole thing was laced with personal elements so there is basically no part that is safe for dreamviews. I will make note that I nearly got lucid during this dream however.

EDIT: oops almost forgot another dream!

I was partially lucid directing this dream about a character named 'Jetpack Joey'. I was thinking of making this a comic when I woke up. Upon waking it doesn't seem like that great of an idea though. The dream had a cartoon/anime styling and told a story about a young boy (12 maybe) who builds his own Jet Pack and becomes a superhero.
The climax of the story took place on a suspension bridge. A gunfight has broken out between the city police and a criminal syndicate and Joey and the mayor of the city are caught right in the middle. Joey's jetpack has run out of fuel and he jumps into the water.
The clymax was not clearly explained, but he then somehow used a sparking electrical wire to turn the water into hydrogen gas and refuel his jetpack.

    4. Lucid Dreaming Cartoon

by , 06-26-2014 at 02:41 PM (Lucid Time!)
Fragment: High School. I am at my high school getting ready to leave.

Somebody is introducing me to this new children's show. The show is called 'David the Nightmare Hunter' and it follows the adventures of this boy named David (duh) with purple eyes and white hair goes through classic high school drama like bullies and getting a girlfriend and what-not. But he was also born with this special power, that allows him to detect nightmares.
In the show 'Nightmares' are essentially demons that can disguise themselves as anyone. They will attempt to preform evil deeds as that person. David has to find and expose these people and battle their true form. When a nightmare enters their true form they become a large black monster, each one with unique powers and body parts. (For example, some nightmare monsters may look like bats or gargoyles with wings. Others may be more brute like, resembling a large ape or human with horns, you get the idea.) In order to permanently kill nightmares, one must hold up a dreamcatcher to them and recite some magic words. The nightmare then gets sucked into the dreamcatcher.
This sounds like a really cool premise for a show, but it seems to be ripping off Danny Phantom. Even the animation style was somewhat similar.
So anyways, the episode we were watching was about David venturing into an abandoned mansion where he thought a nightmare was hiding. It was something of a haunted house set up. I can recall a scene where thunder cracked outside and he hid behind a grandfather clock. David was a cowardly character, but he was tasked with fighting nightmares, constantly forcing him to be brave, adding a dimension of drama to the show. Somebody was watching the show with me and they explained to me that this was a 'class 1' nightmare, as in the smallest and least threatening.
I don't recall the battle scene all to well. The nightmare emerged from some kind of book, and looked like a small dragon. David was initially frightened by the appearance, but upon realizing the nightmare was small he took out his dreamcatcher and banished it.

The show skips to the next day at school. We see David with his two friends, god help me for their names. He had a pseudo girlfriend who wore a hoodie and had a robotic arm, and strange friend who wore a black tee-shirt with a white gear graphic on it and had long orange hair.
Then came an interesting character. Her name was never mentioned but she looked exactly like
Manei, my dream guide. I couldn't help but exclaim this to the other person watching the cartoon with me. Of course he was confused. So I had to explain to him that I practice this thing called lucid dreaming and that some dreamers meet what’s called a dream guide. And that character looks exactly like her.
But it gets even better. The Manei impersonation went back to talk to her friends. One of her friends looked looked something like Marcus, but redesigned to be high school age. But it was defiantly a Marcus design. And I guess the other character was supposed to be a representation of me. He looked strange, one eye was blue-green, and the other one was bright orange, and he wore a dark blue scarf.

Okay, there is no way that this show is a legit thing. How does somebody copy two characters so perfectly out of my dream journal?! Who created this show?! The person sitting next to me just looked confused.

      I woke up.

Update: This dream was the inspiration for my new avatar.

    5. Random Recall: Kinda Cool

by , 04-30-2014 at 01:30 AM (Lucid Time!)
Somebody is pitching an idea for a children's show to me. The show I think was called "Freedom Riders" and it's set in an alternate World War 2 universe. The show follows four young women who wear these skin-tight red and yellow suits and ride around on motorcycles through this industrial wasteland fighting the show's analog for Nazi Germany. The show makes use of some really cool animation techniques, such as sometimes going for a graphic/poster look in critical scenes. The animation looks like the paper cutouts done in South Park, but the characters look almost anime-esque. The show actually has interesting plots and complex themes, though I question if it is really appropriate for a "Kids Show", as some of the characters swear and there is a lot of blood shown. Whoever is pitching the show to me gets very upset. I tell them that they should simply change their target audience and run the show that way.

I join some astronauts on a moon mission, but end up getting left behind on the moon. But the other astronauts leave me behind. There is some AI that states that I may be able to use the moons' missile system to fly back home by targeting a missile at earth then riding it back. At first I'm like "what missile system" All I see are a couple of supply crates and burnt-out landers, but I spot the missile system amongst them.
Normally, I would like to get to earth more or less, I don't know, ALIVE. But my dreams are not set in any kind of logical universe so I grab onto one of the missiles and the AI fires it.

I Become lucid as we begin flying and lose the dream.

Something to do with this "demon" entering the house. It is a floating talking head with red skin and white eyes. It commands me to make a fire in the houses' fireplace, and run the bath water upstairs. It says I should continuously run between the fire and the water and check on both.
As the monotony of tending to the fire and running the bath water sinks in, I become partially lucid, but wake up before becoming fully lucid.
