    1. Using My Awesome Dream Control Powers to do Yard Work (LD #125)

by , 10-23-2014 at 12:57 PM (Lucid Time!)
This may have been yesterday: Something to do with riding a tiny yellow BMX bike through a city. I was actually doing really good riding across the tops of dumpsters and what not. I was riding with two other blurry DCs. One male and one female. They were both impressed with my tricks.
I eventually went through this brick tunnel and found myself in this small park area. There are old ladies sitting everywhere with bread and nuts and the likes, and throwing them on the ground to feed the pigeons.
I looked around and there was bird poo everywhere. I wondered what could possibly make so much bird poo. Then I saw that there were these giant pigeons present at the park, about two feet tall when landed. The big pigeons were more cautious to be fed and the old lades were having some kind of contest to see who could feed the most big pigeons.

I am on a small island. I am supposed to be exploring for resources so that I can survive or something. Also, there are these rocky crevaces in the island. I continually go into them to see if they are caves that might contain some kind of crystal that I can supposedly trade for other supplies in the game. It seems like there are caves connected here, but they are all blocked with piles of gravel and loose stone, and I need a shovel or something to get through them.
At one point or other I managed to find a small vein of the crystals on the surface, and crack one off with my hand.
      ...
      Um...Minecraft much?
      ...

The dream glitches. I become partially lucid. I am in my own backyard. My mom was there and she was telling me about how she wanted to remodel the patio on the backyard and add this little canal that would run around the patio and be framed by these bricks. She said something about tiki torches as well.
I began using semi-lucid dream control to great effect. I rebuilt the patio to her specifications and she was very happy for me. All of the bricks were made out of this rough, dark stone and had aztec/tribal designs on them. I also recall accidentally thinking of these huge stone tiki heads and adding them to our backyard. I also, for some reason added a palm tree, knowing full well that it would die during the winter.
      ...
The dream glitches back to the island. I climb down into one of the rocky crevasses that I have not yet explored, and see that there is in fact a pair of rusted metal doors. I open them and behind them is a single large room with shelves full of supplies.
I turn back and see that behind me is actually what looks like somebody's yard in the crevasse; though overgrown and eroded. It looks like somebody lived here a long time ago and abandoned the place. There were these broken stone tiles everywhere and I could make out tomato cages and a collapsed fence.
"...Somebody really into gardening I guess."

Somehow or other Manei came into the dream and I became fully lucid. Manei says something about wanting to make a dream-base and I of course completely forget my goals and decide to go along with it. I lay down some stabilization.
We somehow came to the conclusion that the fist thing we should do is clear all of the crap out of the storage room and all of the overgrown plants out of the yard. I tell her that that's easy-peasy.
I just turn away from the yard and say something like:
"When I turn around the yard will be clear."
I turn back and see that for the most part the yard has cleared. There are still a few ferns and shrubs along the back edge. I turn away a second time.
"When I turn around the yard will be completely clear."
I turn around. The yard is clear now but for some reason there is now a very tall red rose bush right in the middle. I guess I'm going to have to be a bit more direct.
I began projecting some kind of blue ray from my hand. It went around the rose bush and a tooltip came up that said 'Rose Bush'. I was somehow able to activate a 'delete' option and I removed it from the scene.
I go inside to check on her progress with removing all the junk. She seems to be using the same ray that 'selects' the boxes and a tooltip comes up and says 'Box of Junk'. She then deletes them. All of the boxes are already gone on one side and she's just getting started on the other.
I look in one of the boxes and see that there are all of these... er I don't really know what they were. They looked like miniature microwave ovens. They were small (2in by 2in by 3in) and made of a really tough metal. And had a door, a cord, and a keypad like a microwave. There was also some kind of coil like devices mixed in there as well.
I then delete the box in my hands. I guess that was the last of them.
      [Dream Guide Logic]
"Now that we're done, let's make cookies! I know how to make the best cookies with *something I forgot* and chocolate chips! So yummy!"
      [/Dream Guide Logic]

I woke up a few moments later.

It was the middle of the night, and I had to go back and take down some goals.

I managed to get some semi-lucid dream where I was cataloging wildlife along the side of a river that ran through the rainforest. I can recall there were these crabs and frogs fighting one another. The frogs have acidic tongues that melt the crabs' shells and the crabs pinch at the frogs. There were also turtles involved somehow.
At one point or other, I saw this giant lobster/crayfish creature in the water. It was bright red and shiny.
I then saw an overhead view of where I was and it was a very rich, green, lush area of the world with these plateau-like mountains made of black volcanic stone. There was also a castle-city made of white stone built in one of the valleys.

    2. Star Trek Sneezes, Wooden Barge-Island (LD#120)

by , 10-12-2014 at 01:44 PM (Lucid Time!)
Man, I don't know what happened to me the night before last.

I recall bits and pieces some dream about forgetting a paper for a class in college, and then going back to my room to get it.

I recall being on the cast of Star Trek. I cannot recall if the dream was just about filming Star Trek, and if everything was being faked or if I was actually dreaming about a 'real' Star Trek scenario.
We are in this area (that I'm pretty sure isn't actually on the show) called the data core room. It is this huge maze of passages on the back of the enterprise with all of these clear blue glowing crystals on mounts in the wall. Supposedly they were some kind of memory crystals for the ship's computer system that kept track of all the star systems and alien races.
There is a group of 8 or 10 people. The only ones I recognize are Kirk, Picard, and Spock. I think some other famous characters were there. (I don't know, I've only seen a few episodes of Star Trek in my life.)
Anyways, we are back here because supposedly the air quality here is the best in the ship, and doing some experiment with this new disease that is supposed to be harmless. They release it and everyone seems fine except for this other character; A teenager with brown hair made into an afro.
The guy starts sneezing (ah-choo, ah-choo, ah-choo!) repeatedly, without stopping. He starts sneezing more and more violently, and eventually starts to sneeze up blood. Spock calls up a medical technician, but for some reason the guy on the other end is just screaming "AMBULANCE! AMBULANCE! CALL AN AN AMBULANCE RIGHT NOW!!"
Something seems familiar about the sneezing disease, but I can't put my finger on it.

I also notice that for some reason there are racks of candy in the area, and decide not to focus on the guy sneezing, even though I can still hear him. I look at the candy and consider buying some. Somehow the data core room was mixed with a candy store.
      ...
I somehow get 'outside'. I am on this (either cruise ship or island, I think it was an island but felt like a cruise ship). I get a little confused thinking this is actually the exterior of the Enterprise. There is this big wooden boardwalk with all of these restaurants along it. There are also these huge wooden wheel sculptures.
I see someone I know in WL (we'll just call her E). I go over next to her and we start talking about the sculptures.
Awww... what a charming, romantic moment in a dream. Wait a second, doesn't this person hate me in WL? Oh, yes she does, and right then she pushed me over the edge into the water. I fall into the water, and (ignoring the laws of buoyancy) I sink about five hundred feet all the way to the bottom.
I remember very clearly looking up and seeing the sunlight streaming down under the water and thinking about how deep I was.

I become fully lucid and thrust upward to get above water. Once I make it to the surface, I try to fly up out of the water and get back up there. I can't seem to lift out of the water. I then, for some reason, think of Avatar, and decide to try and make a waterspout and ride it back up onto the platform.
I begin to spin around, and I can see the water beginning to form a vortex around me, but then it just splashes back into the sea and comes apart.
I look back and see that (because it's a dream) I am now about half a mile away from the island. Great. Now I've got to get up onto the boardwalk and travel all of this horizontal distance.
Again, I think of the Waterbenders in Avatar. How they can 'surf' sometimes even without a surfboard. I start to push forward, and start to lift out of the water. I manage to get to the point where only my lower legs are submerged and I am moving along at a lazy 10-20mph. I don't feel like I am getting any closer to the island though.
I feel like I should be going faster. I try using a hand motion to accelerate. I try a couple different hand motions, looking to find the one that feels most fluid. None of these seem to be working.
Then, I see a massive wave coming up on the right. Higher than the island. It envelops (and probably destroys) the entire island. It is then coming for me.
It hits me and I immediately find myself deep underwater unsure of what direction is up or how deep I am. I can't see. It's just nothing.
But I still have my lucidity. I think maybe I can manifest a new dream. I try to picture being on another island somewhere. I start to see some palm trees and grass, as well as a calm, sandy beach. I start breathing and begin plotting where my body should be. Just as I think I've got it, I lose the dream and wake up.

    3. Glitchy Dream House Tour (LD #115)

by , 09-18-2014 at 01:01 PM (Lucid Time!)
This dream was long, not very vivid, and pretty glitchy, but stuck to the higher levels of lucidity for me.

Anyways, I recall being on a small tropical island. There is a large mountain made of a tan-colored rock in the middle and a wavy coastline of coves and peninsulas circling the island. There are a large number of palm trees, of course. The sky is clear and the sun is coming down on us, but the sky had this kind of yucky yellow tint.
I am sitting on the beach, talking with Manei about many different things. I can't recall most of them, but I remember (and this is very strange) one of us was talking about programming an MMORPG game, something like World of Warcraft, and we were talking about the creatures that you could mount on in the game. The only mount was this huge eagle, like the ones from LOTR.
But the creature has customization. You can change different aspects of it such as the wings and the head to make it look more like a dragon or another creature, but no matter what you do the graphic model is the same and the mount always looks like a bird.
I can recall this one option for the creature that makes the wings look distressed. Some of the bird's feathers will be missing. This is supposed to be a very rare option to unlock.
At this point, one of the large bird creatures comes down and lands on a large rock on the island. It has the distressed wings and looks like some kind of zombie or demon because of the other options that have been picked.
      ...

I tell Manei I want to explore the island. It seems rather small. So I start flying, but hover no more than a foot or two across the ground, and float along the beach attempting to circle the island.
      ...
The dream glitched and I recall telling her that I was leaving to explore the island, and actually leaving twice. The second time I nearly circled the entire island. I recall there being another, smaller island offshore that I wanted to go to.

I also recall looking in the water. There were thousands of these smooth brown round stones just out past the shore. Each one was about two inches across. They all looked the same. For some reason, I thought that they were actually eggs of some kind.
I also recall there were huge wooden chairs on the island. They looked like sculptures that somebody had built out of fallen trees and bamboo found on the island, and tied together with vines and grasses. Some of them were overgrown by other plant life and collapsed, or had sunk into the beach due to erosion.
      ...

Just as I was going back to ask Manei about the giant chairs and what they meant a huge dream glitch occurred. I was now in a completely different location.
There was a huge home made out of dark red bricks in front of me. The front end of the home was built into the top of a steep hillside. Manei followed me through to the new dream.
Marcus was there. (Hey, long time no see...) and he seemed thrilled to see me. He told me that this was his latest work. It was a dream house for me and all of my dream characters to live in. He told me that he has a tour all planned out and wants to show me everything the house has to offer.
So we follow him in. The front room goes through two floors and doesn't seem to be decorated at all. It also feels like the front room of my grandparent's house. Marcus states that he isn't quite done building the house and the interior still needs some work. He then states that the house has (between 4 and 8, cannot recall now. I think it was 4 at the time, but was supposed to be 8 in the future) robot butlers. One of them is in the front room and it looks as though he is getting ready to paint it. There are a couple of human workers in here too.
He then shows me the kitchen. It is huge, with a walk-in pantry and refrigerator. It feels like my friend K's kitchen. He says that there are three floors above this and five floors below this. (it was a huge house.)

Marcus then took us downstairs. There was a huge three-story deep room here. There were two levels of walkways circling around a huge multilevel courtyard. On each of the three levels there are ten doors. He states that this area allows room for thirty people to each have their own private bedroom and bathroom.
I ask him if perhaps this is a bit much, given I only have three two recurring dream characters and they are both right here. Perhaps a more modest dwelling would suit us better. He doesn't really respond.
We actually get into a bit of a scuffle here. I tell him that having such a huge house is wasteful. He tells me that this is just a dream and there is no such thing as wasteful. Well I suppose the only way it could be more wasteful is if we didn't live in the space.
I see where there must have been an error with construction. There is a place where the walkway doesn't connect and some of the bedroom doors open out over nothing. I use dream control to construct the part of the walkway. Marcus thanks me.
We continue downwards. There is a saltwater pool down here, and the room lets out onto the lower side of the hill where outside there is another pool. There are two hot tubs, one outside and one inside. There is also a sauna. The entire room is covered in tiles save for one corner, where a robot butler is hard at work tiling the wall. This one is actually wearing a butler's clothes and I think that it looks funny.
Marcus tells me that the bottom most floor is where the laundry room is, along with most of the utilities, and that the robot butlers work down there.
Then I see that my parents are swimming in the pool there. I 'remember' that they are visiting to see where I am living. My dad gets out of the water and stands next to me. He starts giving me this big grumpy lecture about living on my own and being responsible. I just ignore him, because I really didn't get enough of that in WL.
      ...

Yet another dream glitch. We are back at the front of the house. I notice three very sporty looking cars parked in the drive. One of them has large wheels, no top and is black. Another is a large white hummer limo. And the last one is a sports car that was either orange or yellow.
There were a couple other massive houses nearby, some even dwarfing mine. I recall one made out of tan bricks next door. I recall there is a stepped waterfall running between the two houses that leads into the outdoor swimming pool on the low side of the hill.
      ...
The rest of the tour happens very fast. I almost feel as though the information is being 'downloaded' into my memory. I see flashes and am bombarded with loads of information before waking up.
      Basically:

      Spoiler for Giant House Recap:
    4. Ora-Revealing Scuba-suits (LD#106)

by , 08-26-2014 at 01:43 PM (Lucid Time!)
My family was living in some kind of communal shelter after a natural disaster had struck our home. I cannot recall what the disaster was, but it was pretty widespread, having taken out a very large area of land and severely damaged the global economy. I think that it may have been an asteroid strike.
We were living out of a mobile home, and I was tasked with riding around the community to fetch relief supplies, and trade with the other people in the community. Most of the other people living here are also living out of mobile homes. Some have tents as well.
I can remember the community being set up near the freeway. There were hardly any cars on the freeway, though, occasionally there were some military convoys or supply trucks would come. It felt like we were close to home (In Michigan.)
I went to the 'back' of the community that ran into the wilderness. I can recall their being a river there, actually two rivers that converged. There were also large sandy slopes in the hilly topography of the woods. (Sand dunes=dream sign).
My parents were talking about how they wanted to build their new home right in this area where the three rivers meet. They talked about how they had met with a contractor and showed me a concept sketch of their new home. It was a modern, exotic design, like falling water that we were going to live in.

Somebody was showing me an alternate ending to Avatar: The last Airbender. I cannot recall every detail but Aang arranges a duel with Azula on a small island. The island is small, and has a tropical forest on it, with a tall wooden pagoda with red roofing tiles in the middle. Azula does not go crazy in this ending, and Aang knows how to bring out the Avatar state at will.
They start fighting and rush one another with fire, Azula using her trademark blue fire attacks. They blast one another and cause an explosion, blowing both of them back. Azula unleashes another fire blast and Aang uses airbending to jump above it. Azula follows using a firebending jet-pack. Aang loops around in the air and uses an air whip to send Azula flying back toward the ground. She lands on the beach of the island, making a rather large crater in the sand. She gets up and prepares to preform a lightning attack. Aang comes down and dodges. When he lands on the beach, he preforms an earthbending attack that causes Azula to fly out over the water and skip across the surface like a rock.
Aang makes an ice surfboard and chases after her. It's implied that the fight continues for awhile longer, but I cannot recall what happened after that.

      ...
The first thing I can recall was being on the beach, lucidity was clawing its way into my brain. It felt like I was on the island that the duel had taken place on. Manei is there wearing this very strange looking outfit that is something like a scuba suit, with this blue and white swirly pattern all over it.
I look around, and there are many other people on the beach, all of them wearing these scuba suits. As I look around, I see people taking them off and putting them on. They seem to be unisex, and very large when taken off, shrinking to accommodate your figure. They seem to come off in six parts, two legs, two arms, upper and lower body, and when they are taken off they become dark grey.
Manei explains that these are special, high tech suits that reveal your ora or your personal energy field or some such spiritual nonsense, but they only work if you put them on, then swim in the ocean. She takes me over to a booth where you can ask to borrow a suit. I can recall there is a card table set up and someone sitting at it. Underneath the table are six bins, one for each part of the suit.
Then something strange began happening. I noticed behind the table there was another table, with someone tied to it face down. Wearing one of the suits, but missing the right arm piece of the suit. The pattern on the suit was moving and changing colors in places from green to red and back again. The boy, who had spiky brown hair was shaking, and looked to be in a lot of pain. He was shaking and gritting his teeth as if he were having a seizure. There was a small open cut above his right eye.
I asked the person at the table what happened to that guy and they wouldn't respond.
He looked up at me, and just stared at me for a second. I didn't recognize him, and I was waking up. I just looked into his face, looking at the white under his iris. (The way people look when they are straining to look upwards at someone.) I could feel some kind of energy coming off of this dream character. I felt like he was causing me to wake up.
    5. Meditation Induced Recall: Manei's Past (Also some other stuff)

by , 08-13-2014 at 01:05 PM (Lucid Time!)
I was meditating last night, with a focus on Dream Recall and I began thinking about a dream that I had written about in my old dream journal. It was the story of how Manei (My dream guide) had come to be. Then new flashes that I didn't recall came in that filled in many of the gaps in the story.
These all feel like dreams that I had at one point or another. I tried to piece them together based on the age she appears as in the dream. That might not be the best way to tell it, as her age can vary from dream to dream. But here is the story as accurately as possible.

The original dream takes place in this old west town. Everything looks like a well drawn anime. Something along the lines of Attack on Titan style. The town looks like your typical western town though there is this ridiculously huge train station-hotel type building near the railroad tracks.
The story roughly follows a young man with brown hair. He's kind of thin and scrawny and has bright blue eyes. (Kind of a typical anime protagonist) He works a job at some kind of news printing shop on the third floor of the big train station. He works long hours typing, and his boss is very mean, and isn't paying him well.
Eventually he finishes his work. He goes out and about in the old west town for awhile where it becomes clear that he isn't very liked by the people in the town. He gets bullied by some thugs that take what little money he has earned.
We then get a love interest. Apparently, the only thing keeping this boy going is the hope that he could win over this one woman. She is a young girl with blonde hair from a very wealthy family that has invested in the town's gold mine (or something) and were visiting to see the progress. They were also the company that had built the giant train station, and the company that employed the boy.
We see he finally gets the confidence to ask the girl out, but she says no, and later leaves on the train along with her family. The train looks strange as well. It has very large wheels.
So the boy becomes very depressed. We see him walking through the old west town when he comes across another woman.
Then, in a back alley, we see the woman that would be her mother. She looks a little like Manei with the darker complexion and in being very tall. But she also has this unusually shapely body and small, saggy breasts. Her face looks wrinkled as well, and she has grimy teeth. Probably from all the smoking. She is sitting Indian style on this red and gold woven rug and smoking out of some golden genie lamp type thing. She looks probably twice as old as the boy, maybe more.
The woman tells the boy that she is on some kind of spiritual journey away from her tribe to find her soul-mate, and through some careful observation of him, thinks that he is the one. Heartbroken, broke and depressed, the boy accepts marriage with her.

It is a year later, and we see that Manei is now being born. I can't recall where exactly, but it felt like they were back at the tribe. From what I can gather about the tribe, they live somewhere tropical, some island over the ocean, in these beautiful oriental styled homes. They find the colors red and gold meaningful and attractive in their tribe. Also in this tribe, it seems as though men and women's roles are reversed. Women hunt, fight and select their partners for marriage. When married, the man will take the woman's surname. It sort of makes sense, because many of the men in the tribe look small and feeble and the women are much bigger and stronger looking.
Now I cannot recall too much about what happened. About one year after her birth, Manei's mother died, apparently because she had smoked that genie lamp thing too much. Her father was in line to become the husband of the tribe leader. He had his face tattooed up.

I can recall a fragment when Manei was about five. Apparently she was living with 'grandmother', a 200 year old woman and eldest member of the tribe who took care of all children that couldn't be taken care of otherwise.
I don't recall too much of the fragment, just that she was playing with the other kids inside a cramped hut. They are all playing with these little toys on this big woven mat.
The 'grandmother' is sitting across from them, simply presiding in this golden throne-like chair. And what an interesting character she was: Unlike most of the people in this tribe, who seem very slender, she is hugely fat, with this big saucer-shaped belly wrapping around her body. And she is adorned in this ridiculously complex outfit her thinning white hair is tied up in this ugly spiral on top of her head. Her face is so wrinkled and droopy that you can barely make out her features.
Some of the kids tease her because her dad isn't a 'real' member of the tribe. The 'grandmother' speaks something incomprehensible in this big thundering voice that sounds like thor and scares all of the kids in the room. It scared me too, and I was just 'observing' the story. I think she told them to stop teasing her, because the kids stopped afterward.

Manei looked to be nine in the next segment. Her father died when the tribe came under attack not too long ago, and the 'grandmother' passed away as well. She is now spending a lot of time with her aunt and uncle who are married but can't have kids.
Nothing much really happened here. They walk through the jungle to this waterfall like place where they all go swimming. There is this high waterfall (maybe 50 feet) and Manei climbs to the top and jumps off.

Manei looked to be eleven or twelve in the next segment. In this I can recall her wanting to be a 'fire dancer' that was supposedly some prestigious position in the tribe. And it's just what it sounds like. The dancers take this long stick, that is burning on either end and preform a synchronized, high-energy dance with about 7 or 8 women. I think men can fire dance in the tribe as well.
She is learning from some of the older girls in the tribe who looked to be about the age she is now. She is practicing with a stick that is not burning. She doesn't seem to be that good but is rather obsessed with this trick where she balances on top of the stick with a handstand. All of the older girls are really jealous, so they say that if she tries that trick during the dance she would just get burned, and they kick her out of the group.

In the next segment, she was maybe fourteen. There is a big gap in what happened and why. But she is now studying with these monks in how to become a dream guide. Given she is about the same age as I am, this was really close to when I began lucid dreaming. But there is also a gap because I already established that she was in my dreams before I started lucid dreaming. Explanation please.
That said, this was a very strange location. The monks live in a monastery on top of a mountain. The inside of the monastery, or at least the room they were in looks like a dungeon though, with stone walls and these torture devices.
The monks are like midgets. Maybe 2'6" with giant heads for their bodies. They have tattoos that are quarter-sized black dots running in a line up their the back of their heads down their faces.
Manei apparently had to shave too, because she has no hair. She looks very strange shaven. The monks are presenting her with a gold belt and telling her she has to compete in some kind of fighting tournament.

That's the end of the Manei story, now some other stuff. Rhis was recall from last night.

Something to do with me riding my bike through across a boardwalk through this swamp area. It feels like I am riding through my town. I 'remember' that there was some sort of time travel involved and this was actually the distant future.

I can recall some being told some other story. This one told in a style that looks like a Tim Burton film. The story is read to me by the grim reaper who is sitting in a small bed floating in a blue void, and reading it out of a big book.
I can't recall the story as well as the one about Manei, but the story follows a girl who can't seem to fit in. So she tries to kill herself and see if she will fit in in the afterlife.
She becomes a zombie and tries to hang out with zombie girls throughout the majority of the movie. At the end, we see her kill her zombie form and become reborn as this blue troll creature on another planet.
There is also some part of the story that involved Groot and Rocket Racoon (from Guardians of the Galaxy) playing a game of pool, but I can't recall how that fit into the main story.
There is also some recurring theme in the story that whenever the main character (the suicidal girl) wants to get somebody's attention for one reason or another, she will knock on the wall behind her.

    6. LD#98: Something you should have told me three years ago.

by , 07-13-2014 at 12:06 PM (Lucid Time!)
I am in some unique parkway area, already partially lucid, in the rainforest. There are pathways and boardwalks leading around jagged peaks jutting out of the ocean. Exotic tropical flora covers almost every available square inch of the ground. It was magnificent. I could not however get the full view of the location as it was a rainy, foggy, muggy day.
I am walking down the pathway when my dream guide shows up, and
BAM, fully lucid. But she doesn't look like herself, she's way old. Usually she's a teenager like me, but now she's probably in her 50's or 60's with greying hair, and wearing a running outfit. But I've seen her be everything from a toddler to a really buff man, and go through about a million outfits along the way. I just know her when I see her.
She asks me to follow her, then turns and runs the other way, and I follow. So I begin pushing across the ground, not so much running as I am just hovering to keep pace with her, and she begins talking.
She slowly comes out and says that she is telling me her name. First name, then Surname, then middle name. (Why this was such a big secret until now remains a mystery...) But here we are. Her full name was (and I guessed on the spelling, Just pronunciation)
      Maneimonei Qui Tarr
Two years ago, she told me to pick a name for my dream journal. Now she tells me her actual name. You know what, there is no way I am going back and editing the 100-odd entries that reference the placeholder name Lia. So my dream guide will simply be referenced as Maneimonei from now on.
I repeated the name to myself several times as to not forget it, and layer down some stabilization by rubbing my hands together. I was not certain how much longer this lucid dream would last.
The two of us arrived at a large stucco building with a small ventilation duct cut into the side. She crawls inside. I try to follow, but I don't fit.
I try to shrink myself to go inside, but cannot. So I begin pulling on the sides of the entrance and making it bigger. I crawl in, pushing on all sides of the interior of the building making it bigger as I go. I wake up.

    7. The Hilarity of my recurring DCs (Semi Lucid)

by , 06-29-2014 at 11:36 PM (Lucid Time!)
So me, Lia, Jack, and robot arm girl (Need a name for her) are vacationing on this tropical island. I remember seeing high, jagged cliffs and huge trees stretching hundreds of feet into the air. It was a magnificent island to be on.
Unfortunately, we wouldn't be staying for long. Jack wants to take everyone out on a boat. We all head down to the dock only to find out that our 'boat' is a dirty torn up old raft with some rusty piece of scrap metal attached to the back that might have been some sort of engine. We all pile in. The thing can barely hold all four of us, and it's leaking.
Jack leads the expedition onward. The 'engine' we have is pushing us along pretty slowly, and occasionally one of us will use a bucket to throw water out of the boat. We get out into open water to find it calm and still. A thick fog rolls in , and there are garbage rafts floating on the surface of the water. We cut the engine and begin drifting slowly. In one of the heaps of garbage there is a fishing pole. Jack asks me to grab it and give it to him. I do.
He casts it into the water.
Robot Girl: Psh, yeah right, like you could catch something...
Jack gets a bite. Then all of the sudden he gets pulled so hard by the fish that he gets pulled out of the boat into the murky water. Jack grabs the boat with one hand and holds the fishing rod with the other and pulls us along. With this setup we were actually going faster than we were with the engine.
I begin to speculate about the size of the fish that must be on the other end of that line.
In fact the 'fish engine' goes on for a couple of minutes, and we keep on picking up speed. We get through the fog and realize we are approaching another island and like 20-30 miles per hour. This is the best part; the fish runs our boat aground on the beach and begins flopping around in the sand. Jack takes his survival knife and kills it.
The island we have landed on has a seafood shop and they will supposedly have a master chef prepare any fish you catch. We all agree to eat... whatever kind of fish he hooked. I couldn't identify it. It was one of those big flat fish. It was almost sort of diamond shaped, and maybe 18 inches across. He cuts it into four pieces and then exclaims that he is too hungry, and can't wait for the fish to cook and eats his portion raw.
      Gross.
We go into the seafood restaurant and they begin preparing the three remaining portions of fish.
]I am talking amongst my dream characters and become properly lucid.
      I wake up.

    8. Drug Cartel Virtual Reality

by , 04-30-2014 at 09:15 PM (Lucid Time!)
I am vacationing somewhere in the Caribbean when some man steals my wallet. Another man tells me that he knows that man is working for a drug cartel and knows where I can go to find him. What followed was a long chase across several islands utilizing planes and boats. We eventually cornered the man at this unassuming resort where the man who had been helping me explained that they were actually part of the same drug cartel.
The thief gives me my wallet back and states that this was actually just a plot to get me here. The resort manager opens a secret trapdoor behind the desk and leads me into this basement area. Once down there, he explains that this is not a drug cartel at all, but rather an international secret project to develop the first virtual reality simulation.

There is this girl with a robotic arm who has supposedly built the first prototype of the machine. The machine is huge, and I did not get a good look at all of it. But what I do recall was the room where you entered the virtual reality. It was a concrete room (because we were in a basement, duh) with wires and tubes running everywhere. There were four metal chairs, and there was a large chrome disc mounted on the front wall of the room. Several wires are clipped onto the outside.
And of course, I have to be their test subject, that being the reason they lured me all the way out here. So I sit down, and they place this small nose-breather thing onto me with this blue fluid running through it. Supposedly, it is supposed to help stabilize the VR link. robot arm girl fires it up and a beam fires out of the silver disc.
The room begins to distort and change. When its done, all i can see is the four metal chairs sitting in a black void. Two people phase into the other chairs and explain that they are agents sent in after me; the machine malfunctioned and locked me in. It also altered my perception of time, and now with every second we experience, an hour goes by. They let me out. I wake up.
