Hi Twoshadows, I really enjoy reading the DJ's - and yours! It's inspiring! I find my LD's have become much more frequent and enjoyable since I started treating the dream figures with respect and appreciation. A dream figure told me that lucid dreamers are basically wild wolves that need to be domesticated before they'll invite us into their home. So, I took the advice, and it's actually opened an entirely new dreamscape for me. What dreams really are, I'm not too sure, but they're nothing short of amazing!
Thank you, Tihiti. Your comments mean a lot. My DJ has been a lonely place for the last few years. When I first joined Dreamviews there was a great group of us that used to all comment on each others DJ's. Most of those people are long gone. And I miss that. Haha..and your comment on the dream figures when I wake up.... It's funny because even in some of my most lucid of lucid dreams I still often think that the dream characters are real people and that they are just visiting my dreams. It actually makes the dreams more interesting than the dreams where I realize that everyone is just a figment of my imagination.
I think they complained, because I remember explaining that this was the way I always carried people with me when I would fly. If holding their hand wasn't enough, I would get behind them and hold them under their arms. Ever wonder what happens to the dream figure you're holding when you wake-up! Lol That sure sounds like a fun lucid dream.
I remember enjoying the feeling of flight. tons of fun!
Alas, no. It's always too dang fleeting.
In the void! Having you tried talking to them while in that state?
Yes! It's so fascinating. I'm not sure I would call mine "poetic", but they are bizarre and fun to try to figure out. I used to get them more often. I would call them "The Voices". I remember one day several years ago I had a great experience with the Voices. I need to pull that one back up. It is written in my old Dream Journal on this site. I have so many more dreams in that journal than this one. I need to get more transferred over to this one, so I can tag and categorize them better and have them in one place. Anyway, thanks, Verre, for the comment and getting me to think about the Voices again.
I love the phrases you get from dreams and the hypnagogic state! They are so much more poetic than most things the waking mind could come up with.
HAHA love the idea of surprising yourself as well!
Haha...yeah, O's probably shown up in more dreams than most of us here. Definitely charismatic. I alone have had over a dozen dreams where he has shown up. Some of them have been really cool dreams. Thanks for your comment.
Cool ! I dreamed of meeting O in a lucid some time ago, it was also in a family setting. Some people i knew , some i didn't know. It was all very awe inspiring. Thought i'd share with ya ^^ I guess the man has a certain energetic presence around this forum.
I know what you mean. I usually feel the need to explain such things as well. Hmm . . . anytime you do it, at the start of the dream entry, you could say "FB-where I fall backwards and then bounce back; usually I do this in lucid dreams" and then just refer to this action as "FB" throughout the rest. Though I suppose that that's still having to explain it!
Thanks. Yeah, I'm happy for any LD I get because it means it's on my mind and the chance of another LD soon is higher. "Lapsus" could work or just "fall back"...but, then again, I always want to clarify for all the hundreds/thousands of people that may be reading my dreams for the first time. Haha. (Seriously though, it's a bizarre thought when I think of strangers reading my dreams. Even though I have been posting them online for over 7 years now.) Thanks for your comment
Well at least you had a lucid dream. Congratulations on that regardless! You can call that thingy you do Thingy. Mmm Sorry, I don't know of any good names. You could call it Lapsus, which is Latin for fall (synonyms include slip, slipping, gliding, fault, lapse).
Well, thank you. I think the dream was inspired by the fact that I used to have a lot of dreams about being a vampire slayer. But it's been a while. So I hope this is the start of a bunch more slayer dreams. So are you also a demon slayer in your dreams?
You're gonna make me dig your DJ entries to find a dream where you fight as a powerful demon slayer
Haha...so you can picture the little rainbow when I say, "Imagination". I love when things like that show up in my dreams. Thanks again for reading.
I knew that they were using their "Imaginations". Hahahahaha, that brings back a lot of nostalgia.
Thanks for reading!
Excellent dream!
