Non-Dream Dream

Dream 1: I am gardening in my backyard with my dad. He is messing everything up and pouring some white stuff into all of my garden beds. My brother is there too. All of the carrot and radish seeds I planted for my son's birthday party have sprouted.

Dream 2: I am at work with my boss, RL. We have a meeting to discuss new compounds with the chemists Wednesday from 5-6pm.

Non-Dream Dream

Dream 1:

I am jogging in my old neighborhood on Capitancillos Rd. There is somebody else jogging close to me and we start to compete with each other. I am amazed at how easy it is for me to run long distance at very high speeds. This other person keeps catching up to me and then falls back. After a few rounds of this he fall back again and then I get hit hard in the back by something and fall to the ground. It turns out that this other person had caught up to me again but this time purposely crashed into my back. I finally catch a glimpse of his face and it is CH, someone I mildly picked on when I was a kid. He tells me that because of what I did to him he is going to make it so the drug I am developing at a major pharmaceutical company will fail. I'm not sure how he does it but he actually pulls it off. This upsets me to the point of crying to my wife - this drug was to be the next big blockbuster and make the company billions.

I "wake up" and frantically write this dream into my notebook in great detail. Then I wake up for real. These false awakenings where I am writing in my dream journal are very common for me. In the past I would always do the plug your nose and try to breath trick as I wrote in my journal which allowed me to gain lucidity. I will have to remember to do this in the future.

Dream 2:

I am in a department store buying clothes. At checkout I tell the cashier that I would like to pay for the stranger's clothes behind me, thinking that I would do some random act of kindness. It turns out that the clothes added up to thousands of dollars. The cashier asked me for a deposit of 10%, or $400. The person that I was buying clothes for left so I wasn't sure what to do. My brother is also in the store and he is incredibly tall.

The night before I did something similar in real life by purchasing Del Taco for a random person behind me in the drive through. It wasn't quite $4000 though!

Dream 3:

I am having lunch at a cafeteria with my friend KC. I go to the counter to order some kind of drink for her. When I bring it back to her she makes fun of me and says something like "who gets fruit punch flavored drinks these days?" She is also being very loud and embarrassing.

Non-Dream Dream

Dream 1: I am creating virtual cities and buying/selling people and accessories. The people / accessories can gain or lose value depending on their interactions with everything else in the simulation.

Dream 2: I am driving on a freeway with my dad and I am unable to negotiate turns. I am not drunk or on drugs but every time I need to make even the slightest turn I veer into other lanes or off the road. Miraculously I do not run into any other cars even thought the freeway is packed. I finally pull off the road and we go into a bar/diner. People in the place have large bags of weed.

Dream 3: Picking up my brother from an airport. Not sure where we are - perhaps Vietnam. It begins to snow and I am terrified of driving in the snow / ice but my brother's wife makes me. There are strange trains going all throughout the city and they frequently hit cars - but this is acceptable.

Non-dream Dream

Dream 1:

I am at my parent’s house but it feels like some kind of magical place. My parents ask me to cut a branch off of a giant tree in their front yard – right next to the curb. It is a magical tree. I through a rope over one of the branches and I climb up the rope. The tree is now floating and I manage to float the whole thing down to the ground without cutting the branch. My mom is helping me determine where and how to cut the tree. The tree turns out to be a date palm. We eat some of the tree with the intention of replacing the parts we eat.

Dream 2:

I am pregnant (I am a male) and I am with a number of pregnant women. I am having stomach pains and I call in my doctor because I think I am ready to deliver. The doctor (female) coaches me in front of everyone else on how to deliver my baby. She has me squat over a pool of water and tells me to start pushing. I feel crap starting to come out of my ass because of the pushing and she tells me this is normal. She says to hold my hand under my butt just in case the baby comes out – we don’t want it to drown in the pool. I just ended up getting a bunch of crap on my hands and no baby. I was very embarrassed.

A thought in the middle of the night:

Each dream you have is you creating a new universe. Once you create a suitable and stable universe you will die and go there. If you die young (before gaining the skills to produce a stable universe) or if you die a tragic death you will end up in an unstable/unsuitable universe (live a rough life).

Dream 3:

I am having dinner at my parent’s house with some of my wife’s family members. Even though my parent’s house is not in LA I am upset because we have to drive to LA 3 times in a row – it is as if their exact house has moved to LA. My brother’s family is there and they have a small dog. I am playing with AD and the dog under the table for a while. I notice that my brother forgets / loses the dog’s toy at least 3 times and I am always the one who has to go get it and nobody thanks me.

I don’t join dinner because I am waiting for my wife to get back from somewhere. I notice that I am never wearing a shirt. My brother has a black Ford something (not a real car name, something like a person’s name with 2 hyphens). Then for some reason I am driving that car by myself on a mountain road. It is almost as if I am in a commercial demonstrating features on the car. I stop and there is a dirt avalanche and the car gets completely buried in dirt with me in it. I am still able to call for help using one of the cars features even though I am deep under dirt. I recall being very scared thinking that this is a horrible way to die. People come to dig me out and they have a credit card machine with them to charge me for the service. There is a $50 tip already included in the bill but I feel bad for not tipping more.

Non-dream Dream

I am in Vegas with my brother, my Dad and CG. We go to some huge parties with strippers. I did some crazy ass jump over some railings in the casino - chicks were impressed. Did some gambling too. I come home to my mom - at our old house on Pam Ln. I drop some cooking supplies off at our neighbor F&S. It is for some kind of business that AB is starting.

There is also some dude in the neighborhood who only had legs and a penis. Some chick was sucking on it.

Non-dream Dream

Dream 1:

I won a shitload of money (1000's) playing craps. My brother was playing next to me. The last point was 4 and I recall winning at least 5 points in a row with max odds at the end. The guy would roll off in some corner then yell the results to us. There was a black woman at the table fighting people over whose chips belonged to who. I put up a divider between us.

Dream 2:

I am in a large classroom that resembled a rocky cave. I help a new girl to her seat then I sit down behind her. Not sure what we are learning.

Non-dream Dream

It is the morning of my wedding and I am in lab running a BCA protein assay. A few other people including my wife and JF are there too. I am in a lab coat with only my white briefs underneath. JF asks me if I want to go with him to get some clothes and I say "as long as I'm back in 1hr to finish the BCA assay." We head off. He is driving a black car with a manual transmission. We go through one of those exit arms - this one requires the 1st guy to call a number then we take a ticket to exit.

Next we are at a bar with JF, BU and my brother and it is about 3hrs before the wedding. We take a few shots and have some beers. The bartender chick congratulates me.

Non-Dream Dream Lucid Dream

Dream 1:

I am in a very evil place. I am not sure if I belong here as I am kind of on the fence between being good / evil. It looks like an apartment complex being renovated. I have an absolutely amazing stripper all to myself. She has dark hair and is very tall. She tells me that she works directly with the big boss so I can have her always (?!?).

Dream 2:

I am at some wedding in a casino where two groups are sharing the same reception area. The bride (a young black woman) comes up to me and says "I'm doing two dances today: one with my dad and one with you." I get up and leave when she turns away because I don't want to dance in front of everyone.

I find some people after walking away from the wedding and I start teaching them how to fly. The act of flying renders me lucid. They ask if you have to flap your arms like wings and I say "it helps at first but it is not necessary." Then I show them that I can do it without flapping my arms. I start losing the dream so I yell "clarity" but it is too late.

Dream 3:

I am playing a very strange card game with lots of clubs - I recall having a King and Ace of clubs in one hand. My brother beats everyone with a pair of 8's. MF from work is in the game too. There are tons of strippers / hookers.

Dream 4:

I am in high school I think and I'm at a party. I am wearing some fat guys incredibly smelly jacket and I'm making everyone smell it. I think there might have been some drug use in the dream.

Non-dream Dream Lucid Dream

I had a couple of very vivid dreams last night.

Dream 1:

I am about to have either tooth surgery or surgery on my testicles and I feel very frustrated. I am at my old Anaheim house. My parents are being a pain. They said they are "really busy" and wouldn't make it to the surgery until really late. My brother is helping me find a suit to wear to the surgery. I am having a child soon. I woke up with pain in my left testicle.

Dream 2:

I am playing baseball and TK is my coach. I'm not in the field because I need to sleep.

Dream 3:

Bowling is in the olympics and LA calls me so I can watch it.

Dream 4:

It is my wedding day and my brother is helping me out with the tux. Even though it is the day of the wedding we JUST got fitted for the tuxes and we (me, my brother, and bender from Futurama) go to get them just 5 minutes before the ceremony is about to start. I mingle with some guests - mostly my wife's co-workers. Some older lady asks me where ___ (cant remember his name) is and I reply "sorry I have no idea who he is." She gets really sad and asks if he is dead and I say "I don't know" and I rush down to get my tux.

After getting the tux, the trip back to the mingling area is very difficult. There is an obstacle course very similar to the show Wipeout. Every time I try to pass one particular spot I say "Is this really what it's like getting out of a prostate?" Everyone laughs (?!?).

On the way up to the ceremony I realize that my worst fear has come true. We are minutes from the ceremony and my tux isn't on, we didn't practice our first dance, I didn't prepare a speech for later that evening, I really didn't know what was going on at all. Then I realize that everything will be ok and I am at peace.

I reach the holding room where my wife is waiting for me. She asks me a question and I snap into awareness. I say "But this is a dream!" The look on my wife's face at this moment after telling her this is a dream is one of the saddest things I have ever seen. She is crushed. She really wants the wedding to be perfect and I do too. She starts crying and I say "It's OK, it's OK," but she runs out of the room. I fly after her for a short while but she has disappeared. Everything goes black. I try to fight it but I eventually wake up.

I was lucid for about 15 seconds. I have no idea what triggered the DILD but I think it had to do with the strange timing of the wedding (nothing being prepared, etc...).

Dream 5:

I am a left fielder playing in a baseball game and I can't catch a fly ball. I misjudge all of the balls hit to me or lost them in the lights.

Lots of tiny fragments today:

Fragment 1:

I am making my major league baseball debut with the Angels. I am playing right field for some reason (SS,3B,P in real life) and I am doing very well. I get an outfield assist after backing up an errant throw to first base.

Fragment 2:

I am at my wedding and everything is going very well. I look awesome. I am snowboarding at the wedding with my brother and AC, and I am doing well. The venue is MG but it changed to the Anaheim back yard. We get put on the spot frequently throughout the wedding but we don't give a sh*t.

Fragment 3:

I am bowling and Em is there directing / coaching people.

Fragment 4:

I am talking to Obama.

I remembered a bunch of tiny fragments today:

-Most of these fragments take place in Westwood, CA and my brother is in all of my dreams

1. I am taking over the town by stomping on stadiums.
2. My brother is playing live guitar at a bar.
3. I am riding a bike down Westwood Blvd to Wilshire and I have a gun.
4. My co-worker BW and I write a book.
5. I am going for the world record in butt sliding down a hill.
6. My fiance made some crappy chicken but I told her it was good.

Non-dream Dream

Fragment 1:

I am participating in a softball home run derby. There are two Mexicans pitching to me. I lose 10-9 because my field is much more difficult than the other participants (there are obstacles).

My dad participated in a softball home run derby earlier this week.

Fragment 2:

I discover that my fiance got in a train wreck on Westlake Blvd with my mom and brother. I ride my bicycle over to help them (I don't even own a bicycle).

Non-Dream Dream

I recalled fragments from 4 dreams today (Ugh! - wish I would start remembering details of one dream instead of fragments of 4!!!).

Dream 1:

I am playing professional flag football (lol). I make an amazing catch for a touchdown and some asshole tackled me in the end zone, ruining his career (because it was a serious rule violation).

Dream 2:

I am drinking in either a house or a train station belonging to the same old lady as yesterday's dream. Someone is talking to me on the couch - I think it is my cousin GH. My dad, my brother and I all get high off of salvia chocolate and throw a surprise party for my Aunt AM.

Dream 3:

I finally get to meet my fiance's uncle who she has been keeping from me because he is apparently an asshole. He is in my bowling league and turns out to be a nice guy. We go to the back of the bowling alley (behind the pins) and everything looks like a high-tech space ship (kinda like the bridge on Star Trek). There were people all over manning their computers.

Dream 4:

I see a beautiful girl on the street that looks similar to my fiance, but it is not her. Paparazzi are bothering her and posting bad pictures of her on the internet. She is wearing the same dress my friend CO wore to our company party.
