    1. The absent dream guide, ice cream, and 'extreme poufing'

      by , 07-02-2015 at 12:00 AM (Mouka's Mind Palace)
Lucid dreams three days in a row? No wais! ...this one kinda sucked though, and there was no dream guide activity like in the last two. So once again I found myself lucid in a random house, but this time I was able to open the door and go out onto the patio. It was one of those second floor patios with a staircase going down it. I got so excited when I was able to open the door and go outside, but then... I couldn't get off the friggin patio. Figures. It was like an invisible wall was over the railing and the stairs. But when I turned back around toward the house, there was suddenly a table and two chairs where there originally was nothing. I thought about it and said "Okay, I think I know how this works. This is gonna be a regular thing then." So I sat down in one of the chairs and did my pitiful-sounding callout... and nothing. There I was, sitting at the table all alone, with no Seru to break me out of my weird prison this time. Out past the patio I could see my brother out in the alley/hallway thing, and then I woke up. So it wasn't a very long lucid, but I woke up feeling put-out like I got stood up or something. I know dream guides don't always do what you want them to do, buuutttt... I don't know. It was probably because I was only lucid for a minute or so before I woke up, so there wasn't much time for him to show up. I really wanted to ask him WHY I was always locked in the house, that was my plan. Next time, I guess. A dream deferred and all that.

I went to a convention with Cory, in a hotel. There were a whole lot of people and booths and whatnot, and we went up to this one booth that was selling soft serve ice cream in little cups. Cory and I and some other con-goers were standing around in a circle, paying for ice cream cups, and when the lady selling them got to me, I paid her the same amount of money everyone else did. But she got pissed when I grabbed the medium-sized cup and told me I could only have a small... even though all those other douchebags got medium ones. So unfair. Cory gave me some of his, though.

I was sitting in a classroom with other students, but the teacher was gone on an errand, so he put in a video for us to watch. It was a video about something called 'extreme poufing' that involved using shower poufs like nunchucks. (...I still totally laugh when I think about it, ha.) And then the video went into some weird tirade about how to properly use shower poufs in Battle Royale or Hunger Games situations. ANYWAY. All of the other students thought it was the stupidest shit, but I loved it. When the teacher came back he asked us if we saw it and everyone ignored him but me, and I was showing off my 'extreme poufing' skills and kept shouting "Extreme poufing!" like super loud. So anyway, after that the class met again and the teacher was showing us stuff about nature. I was looking out over a cliff onto the forest below and it freaked me out because it made me dizzy. Then we saw a person walking a dog down in the forest, and apparently we were visiting the South because one of the students, this guy in his early 20s, got all freaked out and said something like "Holy shit, people own dogs in the South? There are dogs in the South?!" I told him yes and tried to explain, since I used to live in the South and also own a dog, but he kept looking at me like I was nuts and refused to believe me. Whatever, man.

Amy and I were walking through what looked like an old antique store, but it was actually my grandma's from my dad's side house. It was just arranged in aisles like some kind of store with stuff everywhere like a place on American Pickers. We passed through each aisle looking for something to buy, and I paused at the beginning of one aisle because I saw something I thought was cool. It was a little cast iron round table, like a child-size table, and a little cast iron chair with a round seat. In the middle of the table was a pole that stuck upwards and had an old-looking red white and blue flag on it. It wasn't a USA flag though, it looked like some kind of old quilt design. We kept walking and I started regretting not getting said table. When we got to the front of the store/house again, grandma if we wanted drinks and we said yes because we were super thirsty. Amy grabbed a water and I got a Sprite, but I choked on the Sprite a little. I started awake after that and still felt a choking feeling in my throat.
    2. A definite dream guide, and breaking free from the nightmares of the locked house

      by , 06-30-2015 at 06:06 PM (Mouka's Mind Palace)
Lucids two nights in a row! Nice. This one started out as a regular nightmare rather than through sleep paralysis. I was watching The Lion King with my brother like we did when we were kids, and I was sitting there playing the original Pokemon on my old Game Boy. Then suddenly dad came running into the room all psychotic, laughing with a gun in his hand, and we freaked out and ran away. He chased us and caught my brother, and I heard horrible gunfire and so I ran down the hall and locked myself in a room. He was banging at the door and I was so scared and kept trying to push through the window glass, but then I noticed my hands on the glass. My fingers were all funny and I immediately recognized it as a dream and went lucid. I turned around from the window and the room was pure white, and the banging had stopped. So I left the room and found myself in another house I couldn't get out of, but this time it was all white and there was sunlight everywhere. ...but I was still locked in. In one of the rooms was a grey alien, which was a little weird, but when I walked up to it and poked it, it disappeared. Now back in the hall, I just told myself "You know, I can never find that guy when I search, so I'm just going to sit here and wait on him." So once again I was sitting on the ground in the hallway, surrounded by white and sunlight, calling out to Seru all pitiful-sounding. I heard a noise at the end of the hall, and leaned over to look, and there he was standing there looking at me and smiling. Yay, it worked! I went over to him and asked him if he could break me free from the house again, and he said yes. He flew up through the ceiling and I flew up after him, but this time I didn't just hit the ceiling instead I went right through it. Then we were up in the air and I was looking in awe at all the landscapes surrounding me. In front of us was this massive flower garden, fields and fields of all different species, it looked so rainbow-speckled, and it was so vivid I just couldn't believe it. I wanted to go down there immediately, but then he told me to look at the rest. So I looked to the right and there was a vast ocean and a beach that stretched forever, and far in the distance in front of us, past the flower fields, was a giant wall. Like the Great Wall only much higher. We landed on top of a tall fence overlooking the flowers, and out of all the different flowers, rare ones and such, this one common blue-purple pansy stood out, and I really wanted to keep it because it was so vivid but I also didn't want to ruin the field at all. I was curious about the wall so I asked him what was beyond it. He said there were mountains as far as the eye could see. Well... the call of the unknown lured me in and I wanted to go over the wall. He took off into the sky and I flew after him, towards it, buuuuttt... then my husband's alarm clock woke me up! Haha, well that's okay. I got a sweet vivid lucid dream, a dream guide, and fun places to visit next time.

    3. Two unstable lucids, and taking a trip with mom

      by , 06-25-2015 at 06:19 PM (Mouka's Mind Palace)
I was taking a trip with my mom and brother, and it was night outside. Mom was driving and she really sucked at it, and it was stressing me out. We went through this construction zone and there were those big cones that lined the way to go, but mom didn't follow them at all and took off her own way, hitting cones and all these small square cubes over the broken up areas of the road. There were also big concrete road blocks, and she almost hit a few and had to back up and keep driving. I was screaming at her to just stop being a dumbass and just follow the white truck ahead of us, since it was going along the right way. After that we were hungry so we stopped to get some candy and soda at some gas station. When I went inside, there was this hipster-looking girl with square glasses and bobbed hair... I think it actually might have been Akiko in glasses. She was making pizzas and I said I wanted one instead of candy so I got a pizza. She assumed I wanted just cheese and said "Oh thank god you don't want a whole bunch of extra stuff on it, it takes foreveerrrrr." But she was okay with putting pepperoni on it. I laughed and said "You're lucky my brother isn't in here then, he'd get everything on his. Onions and all that stuff..." Then she threw my pizza into a big microwave and gave it to me. Later we lost my brother and had to go driving around looking for him. It was still dark and I remember looking out over a desert area from the road, thinking that we'd never see him again.

So... I had about five episodes of sleep paralysis last night because I slept so horribly. I tried using each one to enter a lucid dream but mostly failed. The first one I was so heavy and it felt like I was trying to sit up in bed while being super sick. I looked down at my hands and my fingers were just all over the place, but I couldn't bring myself to get out of the bed, which sucked. I told myself I should've just tried floating out of bed... The second time I went lucid, I again looked at my hands but instead of my fingers being weird, my entire hand was blurry as hell. I was able to stand up and I backed up to the wall, trying to take in everything around me in an effort to stabilize. Again I couldn't move. But this time I remembered to float, and I was staring up at the ceiling, which stretched out super high now, and started floating upwards. I think I was trying to get my dumb ass to the hyperbolic time chamber, haha... but then I was pulled back into my own body. Fffffail. Why have my lucid dreams been so hard to control and stabilize this month? It must be all the stress from moving cross-country :\ I've noticed I have a lot of dreams involving driving lately, so yeah.

    4. Used colouring books, joining the CSI team, and Piccolo failing at life

      by , 06-16-2015 at 03:26 PM (Mouka's Mind Palace)
Cory and I went to some thrift stores to buy a gift for my brother. I think there was someone else there with us, but I can't make out who it was. We were browsing the books, and I'd found an old full length mirror I liked and was carrying it around with me. It was huge so when we got to the books I had to set it down so I could help browse. The friggin mirror wouldn't stay upright and kept falling over on me, so I got pissed at the thing and leaned it up against a bookcase that was filled with nothing but Dean Koontz novels. I laughed thinking that his books sucked so much people were falling over themselves to give them away to a thrift store. After I put the mirror down, I went over to a shelf that was filled with colouring books, and it seemed weird that you could buy used colouring books. I opened a few, but they were surprisingly uncoloured. There was a sudoku puzzle in one of them that had one number somebody had filled in. I guess they gave up pretty quickly? After that, I picked up a super old colouring book, that was so old the pages were browned. It had lots of pages of animals that looked like the cartoon animals in movies like An American Tail and such, and Cory walked over and saw it. He commented that it reminded him of the TV show Dallas, which made no sense whatsoever but in the dream it made perfect sense. In the end, I grabbed a big handful of them and said that would be one of my brother's gifts. A handful of colouring books... awesome gift, I guess? We got in the car, me in the passenger seat, and I put all the books in the dashboard slot where I usually kept my phone and iPod. The book on top caught my attention and weirded me out. It was a Lisa Frank book, all colourful and girlish like Lisa Frank books are apt to be, but... it was overly Christian. The title of it was something like "Christian children become one with God at the end!" and I was just like... WTF? I remember thinking that it was wrong, and that since God was loving, He'd let everyone in no matter their religion. Then I had this weird feeling of fear and realized I was kind of an asshole so maybe I'd never get to do that when I died. Then we drove off to the next thrift store to look for more gifts.

Mom was hanging out with me at the grocery store while I went shopping for food. The store was kind of neat looking, like the walls and floors were made of old wood, and the display cases were made of logs and sticks and stuff. It was very quaint Southern style. Mom was super excited to see me, and she just kept talking the whole time even though I was trying to concentrate on getting food... which required a boatload of concentration apparently. The whole time I was there, wheeling my cart through the aisles, I was incredibly stressed out over a situation involving a lack of money. I think I was afraid I couldn't afford the groceries? Weird. I was hoping mom would feel sorry for me and pay for them. We passed through the bakery aisle, which is where the bulk of the dream took place. There were so many delicious looking things there! I eventually picked out these red velvet whoopie pies and placed them in the cart. But they were so good looking that I just popped open the box and started eating them there in the store. And oh my gosh, THEY WERE THE BEST WHOOPIE PIES EVER. They were so soft that I just could not even. I just couldn't even, bro! But yeah, they were so soft that it was hard to pick them up, I'd grab one and it would break into four pieces and so I'd just eat that one piece. Somewhere along the way, I grabbed a food that I can't remember now, but it looked weird so I thought it had gone bad. There was a string hanging out of it, so I pulled on the string and it slowly came out. But it was super long! It kept coming and coming and we were both so amazed and grossed out by how long this string was. After it was out, it was all slimy and gross so I threw it on the ground.

I either woke up in this room or walked into it, but there were CSI guys wandering around everywhere and two bodies surrounded by police tape. When I walked in/woke up, friggin Sara Sidle from CSI came over to me and was annoyed that I hadn't gotten there earlier. Apparently I was part of the CSI team and didn't realize it, but then it hit me and I remembered that I was. We went to look at the bodies and she told me they'd just gotten married. Poor couple. So I was helping out, taking photos, dusting for prints, and such. At one point, Sara came up to me with what looked like a handheld mat cutter, minus the razor, and told me that they'd failed to get the prints off it, but it was the most important piece of evidence so she wanted me to take it to get retested. So I took it, but then I freaked out because I'd touched it without wearing gloves. I took it to the prints lab, which was Wendy who was the prints girl from the show. I was stuttering and embarrassed that I'd touched the evidence without gloves, and she was slightly annoyed but okay with it. She said she'd just rule out my prints.

I was hanging out at the Kame House (I think it was anyway, since some of the Z Fighters were there) and we were all anxious because something bad was going to happen. Like a bad guy was going to show up or something. I remember definitely Krillin, Master Roshi, and Piccolo were there. When night came, we all came to the consensus that Piccolo would stand watch, since he's always standing around staring off at nothing anyway. He was pretty disgruntled about it and wouldn't even speak, but he was okay with it. So we all went to sleep while he stood there. I think I was sleeping on either the floor or a futon, but we were all sleeping in the same room, and I had a super-comfy blanket and a calming skylight over me, and Piccolo would totally never steer us wrong so I felt pretty at ease. The next morning we woke up and whatever bad thing we thought would happen wound up happening (Ugh, I wish I could remember what the thing was...) and we were shocked as hell that Piccolo hadn't been able to stop it, or at least woken us up. What a dick.
    5. Sodas in the woods, school problems, and spelunking in the pyramids

      by , 08-26-2013 at 05:56 PM (Mouka's Mind Palace)
I was driving in my car, but for some reason it was scorching hot inside my car yet cool and nice outside. I had somewhere I had to be, I can't remember where, but I knew I couldn't spend another minute inside my hot car so I decided to park it somewhere and just walk the rest of the way. I pulled into a Barnes & Noble parking lot and a valet knocked on my window and asked for the keys. I told him I wasn't actually going into the store, I just needed to park my car so I could walk, so I drove into a space, parked, and then gave the valet my keys and said I'd be back later. Then I started walking down the road to wherever I was supposed to go, and feeling happy that I was much cooler now.

Mom, my brother, and I were all staying together in an old log cabin in the woods. It was in the middle of nowhere and only mom had her car, as we had all came up to the cabin in her car rather than taking our own separate ones. However, in the dream it had a convertible roof, which it doesn't have in reality. Behind the cabin was dense forest, and in front of it was a huge field with long grass up to my knees, and then more dense forest about half a mile out. We were all sitting inside watching a TV show about ghost hunting when we heard this strange noise. I didn't make anything of it, but mom and Jonathan looked nervous and said they were going to go outside to get some sodas. As I sat inside, I heard the car taking off, so I ran out and saw them driving off in a panic, leaving me behind! I freaked out and ran after their car, and somehow caught up to it by running super-human speeds, but then mom stopped the car and I stood at the passenger door asking why she'd run off. She said she was afraid because there were ghosts and she didn't mean to, but then she said she only stopped so Jonathan could run back to the cabin to get something he forgot. I was super pissed that she would stop for him but not for me, but I got in the passenger seat anyway. As I stepped into the car I noticed there were dozens of unopened cans of Sunkist soda all over the ground outside the car, but even though I was kinda thirsty I didn't take one because they'd been touching the ground. The convertible top was down, but the top part of the window was super low and sharp and I realized that if we stopped suddenly it could totally decapitate me if I flew forward, so I put the top back up. Suddenly while Jonathan was still in the cabin, this orange SUV (the same orange as the Sunkist cans) came driving past us, but then spun around, kicking up mud everywhere and driving right at us. We knew it was chasing us but didn't know why, so we sped away to outrun the SUV and left Jonathan behind.

A group of people were spelunking into the Great Pyramids and found a secret chamber. One of the people, a lady with a big fluffy ponytail, was lowered into the chamber with a lantern and a camera. The chamber had a huge floor the size of a ballroom and a giant mural of some kind of green bug-like creature on the ceiling. It looked kind of like a praying mantis. The group saw the mural from the camera and were terrified because it meant something bad and then the lady started screaming demanding to be taken out of the chamber because she was scared. I think there were spirits in the chamber or something.

It was my first day at a new school and this girl was being nice to me so I sat next to her thinking we could be friends. Then I noticed everyone else avoided me and I didn't understand why. It turned out that the girl was in the KKK and because I actually talked to her, everyone thought I was in the KKK too! It really bothered me and I started avoiding the the girl but she wouldn't leave me alone. She would follow me around and randomly give me unwanted gifts. There was also something involving a Christmas card she left on my desk that had a drawing of some klansmen on it.

Another dream involving a school, where I would switch seats depending on how my mood was. If I was feeling good I would sit on the left where the talkative people were, if I was feeling stressed and had social anxiety I would sit on the right by myself. At some point my teacher asked why I switched seats, and I cried and said I couldn't sit on the left when my social anxiety was bad, and then she gave me a hug.
    6. Space station emergency, and a lucid dream ruined by a phone call

      by , 08-17-2013 at 06:39 AM (Mouka's Mind Palace)
I was on vacation, spending a few nights on a cool futuristic space station. Rather than single rooms for all the visitors, there was one huge communal bed area that was set up like a camp cabin - beds in rows on the left and right side of the room. In between the beds was about six feet of space on both sides to keep your items, and a single nightstand. So when I unpacked, most of my stuff wound up just sitting on the floor since I had packed a crap-ton of stuff. I had clothes and papers scattered on the floor. The room itself was huge, about the size of a small store. but to me I felt really snug and comfy there. As I was sleeping, there was some kind of emergency on the space station, I think there was either spies that had infiltrated the station, or a violent riot involving the station workers. One of the guides came into the communal bed area and woke everyone up and made us follow her as a group out of the area and down below deck, but for some reason nobody was scared and everyone thought it was just a guided tour of the ship. I was super comfortable in my bed and took a while to wake up before heading out with the group, then I realized everyone had packed their bags so I ran back to my bed to pack my luggage up. The group had left without me by then because it was taking me so long. I remember feeling anxious and rushed as I threw wrinkled clothes into my bag and lots of papers and notebooks, then running out after the group. I caught up with them in a big viewing area. We were all standing there looking out this giant window into space that was about 20 feet tall and maybe 50 feet wide. As we looked out the window, two asteroids came flying at us, and crashed right into the window, causing a big hole in the glass before they bounced off back into space. We didn't fly out of the window because there was some kind of Star Trek-esque force field in place keeping the oxygen in. We all totally freaked out and the asteroids started talking to us, mocking us and saying they were going to come back and hit us again if we didn't leave. Our guide scoffed and said they were bluffing because asteroids couldn't change course, so they got angry and kept floating away from the ship. We walked from the hole in the window to an elevator on the opposite end of the room, and I got in it first followed by a few other people in front of me. I felt relieved because I figured if the elevator opened up and there were spies with guns on the other side, they would shoot the people in front of me and I could just fall to the ground and pretend to be dead, and hopefully survive. Nobody shot us but Jonathan eventually joined our group at one point, and people started wondering if I had something to do with the emergency because I had taken so long to catch up with them.

I had a lucid dream, but I can't remember what it was about. In the dream, I was standing somewhere and realized it was a dream, but then the ground started shaking and I heard my cell phone ringtone vibrating through the sky as loud as a jet engine, and suddenly the whole dream shattered like glass and I woke up. Sure enough, my phone was ringing and had ruined my lucid dream! I answered it and talked on the phone for a while, but by the time I'd hung up, the whole lucid dream had escaped my memory before I had the chance to write it down.
