I'm not sure. I couldn't tell what we meant to do with it, I just know we all were carrying it together. If you mean literally, I guess it was the way we got our camping supplies around. If you mean metaphorically, it could have represented a burden or weight either I or my friends were carrying needlessly. Or, a link of our friendship that showed we were all working together for a bigger goal. I'm really not sure.
