This is where I, RelicWraith, will report my dreams for others' (dis)pleasure. As this is only a supplementary journal for me, there may be some apparently misplaced and missing log entries. Similarly, I won't bore anyone with certain sets of meta-data (ie induction techniques used, dream signs, etc.), though I'll gladly reveal as much if asked. Furthermore, any name of personally known real life figures will be replaced with ever-changing aliases.

    1. Log 1067 - Spring Lucid Dream Competition - Day 16

      by , 04-01-2018 at 04:55 PM (Dream Logs DWN-12)
      Created Sunday 01 April 2018

Had a hell of a time getting any sleep this night. Still, I got a WILD to note. There was a lot more to it than I could remember at, the moment, though at least I'm kinda sure it wouldn't have affected the score all that much...

Long moments of meditation before and after the dream below. Better that than just shifting around restlessly...

Dream 1 - Spring Lucid Dream Competition - Day 16

      Scene 1 - Forgotten Fountain
WILD transition in bed, though I lingered around a bit before finally getting up. Once I moved to the foot of the bed, I inexplicably fell through the floor and into the void. Spin to warp. I turned up near a fountain. Lots of wacky stuff occurred, but sadly, I lost all memory of that, and also lucidity at some point. Unknown transition.

      Scene 2 - Atatatatatatata!
The visuals were a bit blurred. I was within a mall's lobby, the structure accomodating many supermarkets. Lucid again. I project a silvery aura, then fly to and from the extreme ends of the facility within seconds.

Later on, I passed by an artificial castle.
I lost myself to random thoughts at the sight of such, particularly about Hokuto no Ken, for the place reminded me of Yuda's fortress. There were "next episode" montages where Ken fights Yuda in place of Rei.

I eventually snapped out of the trance. Now, I found myself between the aisles of an elecronic/hardware store. What's more, I was arbitrarily given the form of Kenshiro. Realizing this caused the instrumental version of Ai wo Torimodose (a climatic battle theme in the show) to sound. In response, I evoked a blue aura, and flew around to look for someone to fight. Soon, I found the villain Jagi passing by. I attacked him unprovoked with Kenshiro's Hokuto Hyakuretsu Ken technique, resulting in an explosive death.

Back in the lobby. Things were fading quickly. So, I rubbed hands for two whole minutes, when the scene warped in view. Now, I was walking outside in city streets during a partiall cloudy day. I point at the largest nimbus, and try shaping it into the form of my guide, E. But, nothing seemed to happen. Things deteriorated quickly, and I wake up.

      Created Wednesday 28 March 2018

Got a WILD, DILD, non-LD, and a fragment to note. Said non-LD was bordering lucidity, though I was only missing an ounce of awareness to mark it off as such.

      Scrap Group 1
Walking around a park lake during a calm night.

WBTB which lead to some frustrating insomnia. Still retained enough patience for a WILD.

      Dream 1 - Spring Lucid Dream Competition - Day 12 - Part 1

WILD transition in bed with blurred visuals. I felt quite dizzy. Found myself in a grey void, where I sensed something was going to chase me.

Got warped back to bed. I stumbled out the door to the lounge. The dream was deteriorating, so I spun and thoroughly rubbed my hands. I tried walking out the glass door to the back yard, but couldn't. I then spun to teleport, and indeed warped... all of eight feet to the stairs. The blurriness was getting disorienting. I uttered for clarity and brightness, to no obvious effect. Next, I walked towards the front door, which somehow got further and further away. So, I flew as fast as I could, only reaching hustling speed, but still enough to catch up. Once there, I phased through the door, first sideways, then turning forward once halfway through.

Warped again. I was outside in the balcony of an unknown building. My sight distorts to a third-person perspective, where I see myself in several side and top angled shots. Some focus realigned my vision. I tried purposefully discorporating my sight again, but this destabilized the dream, and I woke up soon afterwards.

      Dream 2 - Spring Lucid Dream Competition - Day 12 - Part 2

Scene 1 - Rewind That Crash
The visuals were blurred. I falsely awakened in the trunk of a van. My cousin's husband, Felix, was driving, and my brother Doug was there as well. We were inside a parking garage, looking for a space. Eventually, we did find a place to parallel park, though it would've required some extraordinary spatial senses to fit our vehicle there. In lieu of finesse, Felix opted to brute-force the van there, heedlessly crashing the surrounding vehicles, though I jumped out before any collision occurred. Felix seemed to think this had no lasting consequences, but it was obviously not the case.

I kinda figured this wasn't real, but only in-so-much as if this was a very deep daydream. So, I practiced time control, first slowing it, then travelling backwards, just far enough before the crash. Things warped.

      Scene 2 - Vs. Recoome
The visuals were blurred. I was in an episode of Dragon Ball Z. Still 'semi-lucid'. I was in Namek, fighting against the barbaric Recoom. In the blink of an eye, I was kneed in the gut, then slammed face-first through the dirt. The brute then placed me in a surfboard hold. I shook out, and responded with a backflip kick, knocking my opponent into the sky. I then fired an arcing ki-blast up at him. Before Recoome could dodge, I flew up behind him, and kicked him downward. As he fell, the projectile divided into four or five, and each shot struck true. I soon found Recoome below in a smoking crevice, barely conscious and missing both his arms.

Not too clear how this ended.

      More sleeplessness before a transition.

      Dream 3 - Spring Lucid Dream Competition - Day 12 - Part 3

The visuals started very blurred. I falsely awakened in bed, disoriented. Soon, I hear Burst Man's theme sounding. This prompts thoughts on prospective memory checks, yada yada yada. Cue lucididty.

I flew up as part of a reality check, then phased through ceiling. Got warped to a white void. So, I spun in place to teleport. I end up in my home's lounge, hovering in mid-air. I thought of shrinking myself, but it wouldn't of been much fun without anyone else around. So, I called my guide, E, uttering her name various times, but got too anxious when there weren't any immediate results. As I looked around, I spotted various dark-haired women mulling about. One was attending a baby, while two or three others were watching TV in the living room. It was too blurry to identify either of them as my guide, not that I sensed her presence to begin with.

Best preoccupy myself. I turned towards the door, then charged a yellow aura around me. With this increased vigor, I tried blasting off through door, but could only fly at about running speed. Still, I phased through without a problem. I ended up outside in an unknown urban environment.
Forgot what else occurred. It took about a minute or so before the dream ended.

      Created Tuesday 27 March 2018

Got a WILD/DEILD loop to note. There were other dreams, but I can't recall much of them

      Scrap Group 1
False awakening in the living room of large unknown house during the dead of night. The walls were of dark coloration, while the place was arranged as a wide bedroom.

Shopping at a supermarket. It was poorly lit inside, and there wasn't many people around. Felt kinda ominous. Later, I go outside to a forest. I cross a wooden bridge over a stream, then float back over the water to where I came from, but barely made it across.

Meditated for a while during a WBTB. It took some time to get comfortable enough to sleep.

      Dream 1 - Log 1062 - Spring Lucid Dream Competition - Day 11

      Scene 1 - Heavy Awakening
WILD transition in bed. I felt very weak, and could barely sit up. Woke up soon afterwards. Pretty sure I DEILDed into similar experiences. DEILD back in.

Scene 2 - Stumble Out and Back
In bed again. I stumbled outside the house with my eyes mostly shut. Got disoriented, and I woke up again. DEILD.

Scene 3 - Need More Than Words
Back in bed. I start shaking my hands, then try spinning, though I found it especially strenuous to do either. Then, I called out for clarity and light. I kept chanting as such, though quieted down, just in case I was actually sounding as such IRL. Warp. I found myself laying in a bathtub. While struggling to get up, the dream dissipated. Quite sure there were other related DEILDs. Another DEILD.

      Scene 4 - Dizzy Warp
In bed yet again. I spin to teleport. Warp. I found myself outside in an urban environment. I felt too dizzy to remember much, not to mention to keep anchored. Woke up again. DEILD.

      Scene 5 - Eye Hole

In bed. I rub my hands thoroughly with my eyes closed. Soon, a single point of light appeared. On the other side was a closed eye with long lashes. It opened up, revealing that it was hollow inside. The cavity expands, and I'm dragged into this cavern of flesh. Got too startled to hold the dream. Still, I could DEILD once more.

      Scene 6 - Perspective Disorder
In bed. I spin around to teleport, while also shaking and rubbing my hands. Warp. I found myself in a courtyard within a building complex. Orange pillars held up canopies over the numerous walkways. There was a painter recoloring various constructions. Soon, Det. Briscoe and Green from Law and Order showed up to apprehend the guy, and quipped on his supposed shoddy handiwork. Several other folk passed by. Perspective got completely jumbled, where each person's size depended on how far or close they were in sight. I almost got squashed by a woman going past me, and actively avoided others to prevent such a thing from repeating. I got too disoriented to keep this up. The dream collapsed soon afterwards.

    4. Log 1060 - Spring Lucid Dream Competition - Day 9

      by , 03-25-2018 at 03:50 PM (Dream Logs DWN-12)
      Created Sunday 25 March 2018

Got the WILD to note. There were fragments before that, but I'd forgotten everything of them.

Very long moment of insomnia following WBTB attempt, before transitioning to below.

      Dream 1 - Log 1052 - Spring Lucid Dream Competition - Day 1

WILD transition in bed. It felt as if someone was embracing me around the neck, from which I quickly freed myself. I floated up, and tried going out the door, only to get pulled through the floor and into the void. Teleport by spinning and dashing backwards. I turned up in my living room during the dead of night. I called for light, but nothing happened. I then phased through a wall.

Things warped. I was now pulling myself up from the floor of an unknown home. This environment was likewise dark, save for the corner, which flickered with dull grey light. Thought calling for vividness would fix the visuals, but this too had no immediate effect. I paced around, when the place suddenly became vibrant and clear. This locale seemed to be an old structure built of wood, its large furniture covered in white tarp. Near the door, I spotted a polygonal figure, a young woman with blonde pigtails clad in a Victorian-era red-white plaid dress and bonnet, exiting to bright streets outside. She seemed a bit like an animated life-sized doll, kinda creepy actually. Anyway, I decided to jump through the large window near the door. Instead of phasing, I'd clumsily smashed through the glass, alarming the girl, who slowly backed away. Well, at least this didn't hurt me one bit.

The streets nearby, in contrast to the house and its denizen, seemed as any contemporary suburbs. There was a patch of grass in the median bar ahead. Looked a good place as any for the comp challenge. I tried summoning a cloth sheet without results. Luckily, I found several of such laid out on a small, grassy lot in front of a nearby tunnel/highway ramp. These were raggedy brown hemp sheets, old and dusty, not to mention adjacent to a collection of trash. Well, not the most flattering place for a picnic, but oh well. I seated myself there. I then stared at my hand, which seemed and felt like wood. In any case, I conjured up a basket in sight. So, I reached inside, but only found a single peanut. Moreover, save for some bitterness, it was completely tasteless.

I then wandered off through the tunnel. Things warped again. Now, I was sliding down inside the slopes of a narrow passageway made of smooth stone. Got distracted with thoughts on summoning something/someone? Things destabilized two minutes later, and I wake up.

    5. Log 1059 - Phantoms and Feasts and Other Assorted Stories

      by , 03-25-2018 at 02:47 AM (Dream Logs DWN-12)
      Created Saturday 24 March 2018

      Scrap Group 1
      Modding Dwarf Fortress.

Several WBTBs, during which I meditated. This allowed for very present dreams, just not lucid ones.

      Dream 1 - Telekinesis Treats

The visuals were clear. I was working at my old job at the gas station. My former bosses and quite a few co-workers were there. That almost tipped me off to the state, but just almost. It did at least explain why I thoughtlessly practiced telekinesis to stock various things. This included hot food items, many of which were a lot more elaborate foods than you'd find in the place, including shish-kebabs. The dream ended shortly afterwards.

Dream 2 - Phantoms and Feasts

The visuals were a a bit dim. I was in a large basement, probably from an apartment building. Soon, dozens of spirits creeped out of the dark corners of the room, making nuisances of themselves, if not outright attacking. Of them, I could identify various kinds of fairies, and several Arachne (half women, half spiders) . An HUD revealed elemental variants of these creatures (ie Electric Fairy). Access to ritual magic allowed me to banish the sprites, and, depending on their species, to either bind or bargain with them. Those that would negotiate usually made requests of exorcising other spirits, especially those they disliked or were not of their own kind. I only took agreements which would have marks that were already hostile. Binds were more direct, but took a good deal of time to get in place.

As the number of invasive spirits diminished, a figure descended from the stairs, the ghost of a dark skinned woman with long, black hair. She was named after a famous alchemist (Paracelsus, I think), and, I sensed, was a powerful conjurer in her own right. This ghost was a bind-able, but, with all the other lingering spirits, it would've been unwise to try such at the moment. I then "recalled" just being there to finish some laundry. So, I requested a "time out", and bade the sprites come back after I finished my chores. Humorously, they abided.

I headed to the laundry area, which itself lead to a hallway. There, I spotted my sister, Almira, conversing with uncle Otto on a wireless home phone. She got bored of that, and passed the phone to me. My uncle asked of a party that was apparently going on there, particularly if there were any leftovers. He was still considering going there, given the long ride from central New Jersey to the Bronx (where I felt I was at the time). I guessed there might've been rice and peas, and maybe some cold food items. Still, I decided to verify.

Soon, I arrived in an outdoor dining area, the place arranged into a fancy banquet. Whole tables were occupied entirely with many-tiered platters of meats, of which included beef slices, Peking duck, and roast goat. There were also trays of pasties and fancy snack items which could be identified.

Unfortunately, before I could try anything, the dream ended.
    6. Log 1055 - Supermarket and Gas Station Scraps

      Bleh.

At a supermarket. There's trouble finding an empty cart to haul around. There was a feeling of tension, as if I was there to stock up as a precaution to an incoming disaster.

Working at a gas station. Some confusion occurred when someone payed inside to use the pumps.

Another WBTB that was too little, too late.

    7. Log 1053 - Spring Lucid Dream Competition - Day 2

      by , 03-18-2018 at 01:57 PM (Dream Logs DWN-12)
      Created Sunday 18 March 2018

I was KO'd for practically the whole night. The only full dream I got occurred after dawn, and only because a bout of sleeplessness at the time made it somewhat easy to get an unintended WILD.

      Scrap Group 1
Playing the Demon roguelike. The Chindi group in Tower 1 1/2 are giving me a hard time, as usual.

WBTB at 5AM. Took an hour before I could get back to sleep.

Dream 1 - Spring Lucid Dream Competition - Day 2

Scene 1 - Whoops, Almost Lost It For a Second There
WILD transition. The visuals were a bit blurred. I was riding around in an urban environment during daytime. Various family members were there. I waited out a transition, only to lose lucidity. We looked around for a place to eat. There was a Hatian seafood restaurant that looked interesting, as did a Chinese place. I regained lucidity when I noticed how narrow the sidewalks were. Things soon collapsed. DEILD transition.

Scene 2 - Where Are Those Competitors?
The visuals were erratic, fluctuating between clear and blurred. I was in the lobby of a large structure, mostly empty of decorations and furniture. Lucid. I flew around the room, then rocketed down a very long hallway in less than a second. Along the way, I passed a large screen TV, though it didn't seem there was anything interesting on.

Got bored. I decided to look for competitors. I spun around, intending to warp right to such a figure. Instead, things collapsed into a grey void. Spin to stabilize/bring a new environment, then for the original purpose. Amusingly, unless I directed otherwise, my head remained in place as my body spun around. Kinda disturbing, too, whenever I dared to see my body actually doing such.

Another place phased in view, of which had a bunch of soldiers lounging around. A barracks, maybe? I kinda 'overspun', though, and couldn't stay anchored there for long.

Then, I was floating in a nebula, stars faintly visible past the interstellar cloud. Was I close to my original goal? I flew around for a minute, seeking any signs of life, but there didn't seem to be anyone around.

Unwitting warp back to that first building (or a place like it). There seemed to be people around, though they appeared to be in too much of a hurry to speak with. I tried phasing through an orange door, but couldn't, and in fact, got slammed backwards when it somehow opened all its own. I then attempted to phase through a white wall, with similar results.

Things destabilized, and I woke up for good.

    8. Log 1052 - Spring Lucid Dream Competition - Day 1

      by , 03-17-2018 at 04:29 PM (Dream Logs DWN-12)
      Created Saturday 17 March 201

Well, sleep wasn't very comfortable this time around. Still, I managed a decent haul, somehow.

      Scrap Group 1
Repeated dream. A portal formed, of which supposedly led to others' dreams. I refused to go in, not until I had some unknown object at hand.

Something about that Bunk'd show my nephew keeps watching. One of the campers has a nightmare where they and several bunkmates get shrunken in a field. They're very fearful of getting stepped on.

Vaguely remembered getting thrown into and floating around in a chaotic world. Where it lacked in gravity, it was filled with random objects. This leads to below.

      Dream 1 - Spring Lucid Dream Competition - Day 1 - Part 1

      Scene 1 - Who's That Glowing Guy?
False awakening in bed. Got lucid. I was too weak to get up, so I crawled around the place on my back, while repeatedly calling out for a transition. This FA repeated a few times, with some variations, one of which had something that somehow reminded me of BlazBlue. In the final instance, a being appeared, a glowing, faceless man. When asked, he acknowledged my previous request.

Scene 2 - Mercy As a Thief Deserves
The visuals were mostly clear. I was working in a convenience store, urban streets visible under daylight outside. Dad was there, supposedly joint owner of the place along with some unknown guy of his age. Lost lucidity.

Later on, a bunch of young guys made their way to the alcohol, neither of which appeared past their teens. How suspicious. As the majority of them approached the counter, I spotted one sneaking out the door with a 4-pack. This PO'd me fierce, and yet, I somehow got aware. Still, I wasn't gonna let that slide. So I followed the punk. Then, I kicked the thief up a dozen feet in the air, jumped up after him, and slammed him head-first into the pavement, collapsing his skull into bloody paste. When I returned to the store, I glanced back outside, where I saw another guy freeze in horror at the sight of his dead friend.

Back inside. I kinda lost myself to the plot. Behind the counter were various bakery items, particularly several kinds of cheese danishes (including strawberry). Afterwards, a long line formed. I asked twice where the second register was, and was told twice that there wasn't any. Soon got lucid again. I phased through the counter, then floated around the aisles.

Things collapsed. Brief awakening. DEILD transition.

Scene 3 - 'Is It a Boys or a Goils?'
The visuals were a bit blurred. I was entering home along with my brother, Leopold. Got lucid seconds later. We walk into the downstairs bedroom, when we spot an entire tiny world forming in the darkness, projected as if from AR. Interestingly, the environment and characters appeared drawn in the style of the original, SNES Tales of Phantasia.

My brother and I took control of the heroes, two of which had a passing resemblance to Cress and Mint. While exploring a cave, we encountered an angel, a ridiculously androgynous figure wearing nothing but white straps. He'd identified himself with male pronouns, yet me and the others repeatedly asked if that was the case, to the point of becoming a gag. Ignoring such, the angel challenged the group to a fight, where he'd summoned a horde of fiery humanoids to assist him. A well timed rush quickly took the boss down.

After the battle, the angel granted us a choice of reward: one of four collections of rough gemstones. Contrasting the game, these gems were life-sized, physical items. I settled on taking the group with rough diamonds, even if it was the smallest assortment. Before the angel left, I frivolously asked once more whether he was actually a 'he'. Again, no further response.

Don't recall how this ends. Quite sure there was more.

      Scrap Group 2
WBTB. Stayed up to write notes. Took an hour to get to sleep.

Numerous forgotten scenes. I know many included music transitions , and some lucid portions, before cutting to below.

      Dream 2 - Spring Lucid Dream Competition - Day 1 - Part 2

      Scene 1 - Moonbeam Woman
The visuals were dim. I was at home, going out to the backyard during a cold, moonlit night. Got aware seconds later. I focused the light into a wide-angled energy beam, pummeling the ground with a low roar. Just then, a shining figure stepped out of the pale light, a woman, her form and clothes glowing as the moon itself. She glanced around the area. Confounded, I questioned her presence. The woman started at me momentarily, then vanished. Transition.

      Scene 2 - Gravity Prank
The visuals were a bit blurred. I falsely awaken on a couch, asleep in the living room of an unknown apartment. Several more FA's before I got up. I soon found my nephew, Tommy and Leopold watching Steven Universe on a nearby CRT TV. On screen, the title character, Peridot, and several others were repairing a roof. Someone breaks into a song. This prompts a complaint from Tommy and Leopold on how much the characters sing in that show, and puzzlement as to why any of used to even watch it in the first place.

Got lucid, but I sensed the dream was nearly over. As a finale, I formed a glowing circle under Leopold, and yelled "Reverse Gravity!" My brother was immediately flung to the ceiling, then dropped down. That first 'thud' had me genuinely rofling.

Various unknown transitions. One of these had me watching a recently viewed episode of Law and Order. Another cut.

Scene 3 - Boarding House Morning Routine
The visuals were blurred. I falsely awaken in another unknown large house, what I believed was a boarding home and/or school. I drifted in an out of 'sleep' before I finally got up. I went down a long hallway and to the restroom, unconcerned on being dressed only in bedclothes. It was a mess in there, the floor stained with muddy water and littered with damp paper towels. I floated over the floor to the nearest sink, when I get aware. Still, I just followed the plot of continuing with morning routines. It took some getting used to reaching for things while keeping a steady flight.

Various more FA's occurred in the same place. Some I tried sleeping off, while in the lucid portions, I tried waking up to keep what I could of this dream in memory. This cycled until I awakened proper.
