No I didn't. By filling out a little logbook I created for myself, I discovered that I get lucid once every week if I'm diligent. Since my most recent lucid was on Thursday, I'm expecting the next one on Wednesday to Friday in the coming week.
Oh, its cool that you know when your likely to get a lucid. I hope your next one is longer so you can accomplish your dream goals.: )

DawnEye11: Yeah, I actually thought "Oh great, the dream's going to wake me up". But then at the same time, I was trying so hard to focus on the place that I was in.

FireFlyMan: I haven't really noticed any tiredness correlated to the end of that dream. The first lucid occurred right at the end of a long non-lucid dream.

Maybe I'm reaching, but it seems like the LDs just happened to occur at all the wrong times (ie before deep REM). Furthermore, if anything, such recurring short lucids during a run is usually a sign of fatigue.

Do you think about the dream waking you up right before you wake up? Perhaps you need to focus and not let the dream's changing setting get to you. or maybe you just had sufficient sleep.

I know, when I woke up to recap the dream, I found the girls' reactions hilarious. More epic dreams coming soon!

Yeah, That does sound scary. I suppose if it gives you peace than it’s better than handling it alone. Especially since your not just hiding behind her but facing it as well when you feel calmer.

It's rare for me to get nightmares, but on the occasions I do get them, it scares the crud out me, they can turn from something simple to something so violent and gory... So even in normal dreams, I'm training myself to be able to summon Dreamy WB at will. Ever since her time, I've had 3 nightmares. I figure it'd be better to have her in nightmares because by myself, I just get scared, run and wake up. With her there, that should give me extra time and for her to "water-down" the nightmare, seeing if I can actually find the intention behind it. Like once, I had my deceased grandfather trying to kill me with a saw (Dream No. 77) and I just didn't have the capacity to stop him and talk to him! But no matter where I am, when I'm with my dream guide, I'm at peace.

Cool~ Ohh, I see. I've never really seen someone measure their guide effectiveness like that so its very interesting. I like how you measure healing through hugs too. Hugs are nice. Its too bad I end up forgetting most of the times my guide has hugged me. I do remember a special few though. Do you get nightmares a lot? I use to summon my guides when I had lucid nightmares but I ended up coming to the conclusion that confronting the nightmares myself was probably best for me. Not that having my guide there didn't make things more fun or easier I guess its a matter of personal preference too.

I've managed to call her in heaps of non-lucids. A dream trophy is an achievement to get based on certain criteria... There is a journal entry solely explaining dream trophies. The new counter at the bottom of this dream is an indicator of the dream guide's effectiveness. Hugging is her way of taking away any stress or any other negativity I may express... That's the strengthening and healing aspect. Saving me from disasters is what she does best, that's the protecting and rationalizing portion. From the counter, it's indicated to me that I need to work on being able to summon her in complete nightmares.

It’s cool how you still managed to call her in your non lucid. What’s a dream trophy? Also, why count the times you were hugged or saved? Just curious.

I haven't used this account in ages.

I just had a weird dream...

I was outside, in the area where I live. Some really weird stuff happened in that dream. Then another dream happened, where I happened to look at my hands and see there was the wrong amount of fingers andbecome lucid. I am lucid for a while, but I don't really do anything and the dream ends after a while.
[/COLOR] I woke up in reality.

Do you usually read the Bible? Are you usually Christian? If you are not, God is calling you to turn to Him and let Him love you. In one of my dream interpretation books it says that cats can symbolize independence and power. New birth of kittens could mean new freedom, to be open to your animal side - the side that is more free with yourself and hold onto power that God wants to give you. (It could be new Spiritual Gifts, like prophecy or music. Pray over it.).

I feel like the two main symbols are the cats and the Bible. For the SSIM method of interpreting dreams (Subjective Symbol Immersion Method) keep the situation within your psyche. Pick what you think is the main symbol after meditating upon it and then let that be signpost 1. Write it down or draw it. For your dream, I would draw a Bible or a family of cats. For signpost 2, write down what the main symbol means to you. Go through dream dictionaries, but remember that the dream is yours and ask God what it means, and meditate on it and thank God for the message. What I guess it means might not be what it means. Then make signpost 3 where you connect signpost 1 and two and your understanding of them to a past situation or experience. This works for a psychological experience, if this dream came from your soul or brain.

If it came from God, it would have been peaceful and calm. Part of it could be a message from God. New birth of a baby, even a cat, can mean new birth to a new start, or, usually for me, new birth of a new writing project (novel or short story or poem book). Think about it and meditate on it and pray about it.

      Happy dreaming!

      ~Rebecca
