Hi Rebecca, thanks for your insight. I actually do interpret dreams myself but haven't really received requests from others to do so. This is my first year out of high school and I loved school when I was there. By food rooms, I meant the food technology classrooms but our school just calls them the food rooms. In school, I had friends but no real friends. Yes there were disappointments, people I wanted to be with rejected me and made me feel almost like a ghost, leaving me with empty promises at times. I don't think there is anything negative about the dream though. It's a pretty normal plot and very much resembles my 2016 waking life.

Dreaming that your friends are missing and being in a high school looking for them can be literally interpreted as fear of losing friends after high school. Are you in high school or is this a reoccurring dream of school? I found it strange that the girl had a class in "the food rooms". I assumed you meant the cafeteria but wasn't sure. You seem to be lost in the school which literally means you don't know what you want to learn.

Some dreams of school mean that you have childhood insecurities that have not been resolved, according to Craig Hamilton-Parker in "The Hidden Meaning of Dreams". The school being a ghost town (empty, no one there) suggests you are carrying disappointed childhood memories, according to Hamilton-Parker. The book suggests asking yourself if the dream has any lessons to teach you. I would suggest paying attention to the "classes in the food rooms" and the "music rooms." Are you a musician? Music can symbolize freedom and huge potential of success, and can express the emotions you are feeling and carrying (as it can in real life).

Nice I've mentioned dream/lucid dream related stuff in school also. And speaking of hands/fingers RC, last night I did it in a dream and failed! Lol in my previous comment I mention how it never failed me.

KingCobra: Yeah, I was practically amazed. That was the first lucid dream in ages, so it shouldn't have been that epic. I was only trying for DILD as well, so to get WILD, I couldn't believe it. I thought I would not have a lucid dream again once I had opened my eyes but I took a gamble and I got the second part (which is where the good stuff happened).

KingCobra: So you're a sixer too! Yeah, fingers are most common for me too. In year 9 (2013), we watched this movie called the Princess Bride and I think there's a six-fingered man in that movie... So then I told my English teacher about the six fingers in dreams.

Yeah I also like the looking at hands and fingers RC because it has never failed me. In dreams, my hands are always distorted in some way and I often count 6 fingers and become lucid.

Wow nice job! When you woke up and entered a dream again concious of your surroundings (lucid), then that was a WILD/DIELD experience!

Original Comment: I read your dream and although it was just a dream it still felt like a dream so there was suffering there. I am sorry you had to go through that but now it does not seem to matter cause it was just a dream. The next time we are getting hurt I hope we recognise it as a dream, do something funny and wish good things for the person hurting us. The whole dream is created by us and we can change it so even though the lady screaming and the man climbing the stairs seem real we can totally turn the situation around. Fear can be turned around. I have been turning fear into rcs during the day and slowing down or doing things more carefully as I noticed a lot of my dreams were about rushing.

Reply: Nightmares once in a while are okay, I rarely have them... This is like the first one in years! One's okay becuase these things actually push me to study myself more. Turning fear into RCs is a good idea because it's something so proposterous but I'd like to think of this dream another way: My grandfather died in MAR 2013 and here he is talking to me in DEC 2016, so what I'd like to eventually think is, "Isn't he dead? Why is he interacting with me?... Must be a dream". If I had known it was a dream, I would have most likely called my Dreamy Guardian (Dream Guide) to do something about the situation. She manhandles all my enemies but never hurts them, she only restrains them so no one can hurt anyone any more. In this dream I'd imagine she'd be confiscating his saw... But of course, RCs are certainly the key to more control.

This entry was supposed to come before the dream entry. So assume this is the start of my dream journal!
