Memory Skips, Fake-Out, Controlling The Professor

Supplement Dose: 18.2 mg Menthol (Cough Drops)

Weed was smoked and half a beer was consumed a while before going to bed. This probably had a slightly detrimental effect on my recall, but overall didn't seem to influence my dreams.

    #1 - Memory Skips [Non-Lucid]

The beginning of this dream is harder to recall as I believe it happened in third-person, but there was a group of people searching for something.... A time machine? Special documents? It's hard to remember now, but something important along those lines. This group of people was the bad guys, but a couple good guys had infiltrated their ranks and was planning to sabotage them. My memory skips forward a little bit, and I remember lying naked in bed with a friend of mine. o_o I want to say it was... well, that's not important. >w< But we were just cuddling and I was getting lost in fantasy. My memory jumps forward again a little bit and now I'm walking around a store with my dad, and he's talking to someone about how he always eats all the Ritz crackers and cookies at our house and I get mad that there aren't any left, which isn't even remotely true.

I woke up after that. The naked cuddling thing was definitely interesting... my libido was running strong in this dream, which it almost never does (unless I'm lucid). Was the menthol to blame? Hmm....

    #2 - Fake-Out [Non-Lucid]

For this one I was actually just lying in bed for a while, and noticing that my visualization skills were REALLY strong. Everything in the previous dream had been incredibly vivid, and these mental images were no different. I was hoping it would go somewhere, but it didn't seem to be... so I sat up in bed, not realizing that it was suddenly a different bed, and opened my laptop, not realizing that I didn't have my laptop with me. I started typing stuff about the dream I'd had in, and slowly the screen started getting further and further away... until it faded out, and I woke up again. Damn! :O

#3 - Controlling The Professor [WILD]

Now I was just lying in bed again, still exploring the visualization. But I was also really tired still... my consciousness was drifting, but not fully fading away. Suddenly it occurred to me that there was some strange wall of bars and electricity and words that were impossible to read in front of me, it was all very confusing. Finally I decided to look away from it, and noticed that I had fully entered a dream. My second ever WILD! If that's not a testament to menthol's potential, then I don't know what is. There was a TV in front of the bed I was in that showed what looked like a Futurama video game, with the professor riding a motorcycle. Everything was extremely vivid and not unstable at all. I focused myself intently on the game trying to let it consume the whole dream, but it never happened. However, I was able to feel everything on the screen as if it was happening to me. I felt the motorcycle engine beneath me and all that stuff. I had the professor drive up all these crazy wall angles and up on to a person's back, that was fun. But then he accidentally drove off of a pier he was on and into the water, abandoning his motorcycle and swimming into a vortex of psychedelic-like mermaid faces as he did so. My libido was starting to shoot up and becoming really intense, and then the vortex consumed my entire perception, and I woke up.

Sounds cool. ^_^ Do you remember at all what time of the night you woke up, and then entered the WILD?

I enjoyed it. I want to say that I woke up around 7 or 7:30.... I can't say for sure, but I'm pretty sure that's close.

Hmm congrats on your second WILD

For some reason i thought that you had many WILDs already O.O

When the professor was swimming into that vortex, i imagined him shouting "I don't want to live on this planet anymore!" in an angry tone xD

Thanks! Nope, both of my WILDs now have been unintentional... I never really got used to doing it myself. I do meditate a lot and feel vibrations, though.

      Hahahaha, niiice. XD

Hmm, i only had 3 successful WILDs so far and 2 of those were unintentional too... Even while i'm doing this LD business since 2 years, WILDs give me a lot of trouble...

How long did you practise meditation since? I'm just about to start it, but really have no idea how to get to it

Yeah, they're tough. :T I try them every now and them, but they never seem to get anywhere. Maybe that'll change now.

I've been doing it for around two and half years now, I'd say. I don't really follow much of a routine, I just sort of lie in bed and space out while focusing on relaxing different parts of my body, and letting the darkness encroach me, and pretty soon I start feeling changes in my physical form and my limbs start feeling really buzzy and paradoxically light and heavy, like I'm sinking into the bed and kind of melting into the environment. Sometimes there will be an increasing white noise and bright light, too, but that's mainly when I take it really far. It makes for some cool sensations and thought patterns, and always makes me feel really mellowed out afterward.

That melting sensation is what i feel sometimes when attempting a WILD... I guess it's just generally related to being so relaxed ^^
I really want to experience these more... so who knows i might even get hooked on this meditation after it

I think i'll give this a go tomorrow, or even now before falling asleep, thanks

Yeah, it's a pretty cool feeling. If you get really good at focusing the feeling I'm sure it'll help you with WILD a lot, too. When I first started doing it I had a lot of anxiety, so I was afraid to take it too far because I didn't even know what those feelings were. But now I can tell that it is the same sensations that lead to WILD, I just need to get better at using them.... I almost managed it not that long ago, but the hypnagogia stirred me awake at the last second.

      You're welcome, and good luck!

Congrats on the 2nd WILD! I don't even know what menthol is besides stuff that makes air colder when you inhale xD I will check out that thread you PMed though... cheap, legal, and seemingly effective dream drugs are the way to go

Good stuff with the motorcycle.... it gets a little chaotic with the mermaid faces though... and then the libido hit kicked in and took over. Just, wow. I wonder if the libido boost was a typical response to menthol or something unique to your own chemistry. I mean, because if it's typical, hahahahahahahahahahaha, I can't wait to see what happens when I try it. I feel sorry for any of my dream sex DCs, yessiree.

When are you planning on doing it again? I'm looking forward to your next experience... and side affects.... and tolerance building. I'm probably getting ahead of myself but you seem blown away with it so no harm in fantasizing.

Thanks! I was happy, I was starting to think I'd never get to WILD again!

Heheee, the mermaid vortex was my favorite part. >w< Well, the libido response definitely happened again last night, so it might be at least typical for me. I'm very interested to see if it has a similar effect on your dreams. XP

I'll probably be doing it for a least a few nights in a row. I'm actually housesitting for someone right now and this house is very close to a friend of mine who I smoke weed with a lot, so depending on how unexpectedly high I get in any given night I may take a break from the menthol, but right now I'm planning to do it as much as possible. There will likely be some tolerance, but as I mentioned in the thread, I've found something that may actually imply that it makes dreams more vivid the more nights you do it in a row, but through a different mechanism... but I'd like do some more testing before I say that for sure.
