    Lucid Dreams

    1. WILD double

      by , 10-12-2011 at 02:19 PM
Well I couldn't get to sleep at all. I went to bed fairly early, but tosses and turned for hours. It was 1:30 (2 and a half hours later) that I guess I fell asleep.
No dreams during that time, I woke up by my default body clock at 5 for my WBTB. I wasn't feeling up to it so I just lay in bed for that hour.

I then tosses and turned for another hour, I just couldn't get to sleep, I wasn't tired at all but I was feeling weak.
Eventually I did lie still and close my eyes, focus my breathing and slipped into a dream

      ******
I was in my back garden, on the sort of barbecue area we have set up. A few of my classmates were there with me, I think we were discussing some homework we had.
Then my mother handed me a big loaf of bread through the window of our house. When I got a hold of it I got lucid and immediately identified this. I moved around swiftly touching the table and stamping my feet, trying to ground myself. I saw a DC and touched their arm, and when I did they changed into someone I actually knew. I could feel vibrations throughout and my vision was quite clear, except I was in a total rush to try to stabilize, as my other "lucids" have been short and sharp, with no time to stabilize. This seems to have been my downfall as I just lost it a little while after.

      ******

I was on my side in bed, and I looked at my clock, I had been dreaming for 15 minutes, it seemed like a brief pause and then 15 seconds of dreaming. I lay still again, repeated, and I slipped into another dream.

      ******
This time I was in a super market, quite like my local one, except the stock on sale and the colours were wrong. I again tried to quickly stabilize by doing everything that came to mind. This included-
Running up to a DC and climbing up them to get up onto a shelf, then reaching up to the ceiling panels and removing one, then climbing up into it
I remember not knowing what to expect, and when I got up there I was looking at some people in a group circle, like rehab or an AA meeting. It looked as bland as the shop did. I then just lost it there

      ******

Sleep for an hour, then I had to get up for school.
I'm counting the first as a lucid WILD, but not the second, as the second one had less control and was only clinging onto the back end of the 1st one. I'm happy I managed it but not so happy that it happened not as I intended.

This was quite late in the morning, by my standards. I usually stop sleeping and dreaming by 7am, but this took place at around 9-10am.

Basically I was having a lie in (AW GAWD LIE INS) when I drifted off to sleep. In that sleep, I had a dream. Wahey.

I was in a desert town sort of place. Not middle east, but more... I don't know, not really important.
There was a WWII tank rolling up a road, with one of my friends in it. I only saw his name over the tank, not him actually in it. For some reason he wasn't supposed to be there, so I ran after the tank with a wrench.
As he slowed down, I followed it closely and started loosening bolts and things, to weaken the tank. It eventually blew up, and I walked on past it.
I then saw a big CO2 canister on the roadside. It was coloured like bowling balls are, all swirly and bright. I thought "That's odd" and I became lucid there

      *******
I then looked around for 2 seconds and then woke up.

      *******

Yeah, nothing especially outstanding or interesting, but it is something. I remember noticing the canister and noticing how it was out of place. But I think it was too late in the morning to be actual deep sleep so I could only wake up. Oh well, it's something.

    3. Avalanche's dreamscape adventures

For the sake of time and reader interest, I'm only going to record lucid dreams or dreams that are near to that. All other dreams would take too much time to to have to write up, and I cannot see myself being able to consistently log them. So only the good stuff.

      So my first lucid dream:

I was in a big room, more like a hall. There was a big fire in the middle, and everything was wooden, like in medieval times. There were stalls along the walls, selling weapons and armour. (RPG players will know how this would look generally). I was watching the character from a top down perspective, at an angle.
He didn't buy anything, as none of the stuff on offer was as good as what he had. Then I was back in my bed. Not a false awakening, it didn't get that far.

A little blue bird landed on my bedside lamp, and I instantly knew he wanted me to turn it on. I hesitated, not wanted to scare him off. When I did, he flew over and landed on my pillow. I leaned in close to hear what he had to say.
"We don't need those merchants, none of them had good stuff anyway"

      ********
He then flew over to my desk, and my room changed. It turned yellow and a waist high ledge cut into the room opposite my bed. Clocks and posters and things appeared on the far wall. I checked my hands and my left had an extra finger. I did a few other R.C.s and concluded rather melodramatically that I must be in a dream. I felt a slight buzzing and jumped up onto the ledge. I considered doing a backflip, but didn't as an extra window had appeared behind me, and I just jumped out of that. I plummeted to the ground, over a desert landscape with a few random buildings, like L.A. or Abu Dhabi, but a little more futuristic. I tried to make it "1916 themed" but that didn't work. I fell and fell until it faded to black, and woke up.

      ********

Cool, calm and collected is how I would describe that dream, I didn't lose it because of over excitement, I think I lost it due to lack of stabilization and a general lack of ideas.
