    1. Lucid Adventures: Chair Sorting, Almost Waking and DC Chatting

My IRL friend, Dean and I were just finished inflitrating some kind of compound. We came out of the vents of the building into the main interior, which was a school. There were students there, packing up the chairs and tables as it was the end of the year. I observe this happening, when suddenly I feel myself begin to wake up - I was beginning to feel my real-life body. I focused extremely hard on maintaining the dream and lo and behold, it worked! The dream resumed, with the exact same scene, except because of the almost awakening I was now lucid.

I was fairly excited, and turned to Dean to tell him but he wasn't there, so I made him walk through the doorway and told him 'Hey Dean, we're in a lucid dream!' Dean replies 'A history dream!?' and runs off somewhere. I simply looked around the area, and saw a DC who I'm pretty sure was a substitute teacher from my school. She and another student approached me, and we made small talk about dreams, which I can't remember exactly, but the teacher said, 'If you're in a dream, why aren't you doing more crazy things,' to which I replied 'I just feel like relaxing.' And it was relaxing - I observed the surroundings and noticed how real it seemed. Soon after the dream collapsed.

I'm fairly proud of this; it's been a while since my last lucid. This is the first time I've ever been able to retain the dream when about to awake, which was cool too. I suppose that makes it a DEILD?
    2. Concerts, Midgets and Sleeping Arrangements

Our class is standing in two long lines at the back of our school hall, as though we're about to put on a concert. We're not really doing much but I was trying to put my arm around the person to my left, I have no idea who it was or what gender they were or if they were even a person. Eventually after a while of doing that, some people bring in what everyone describes as 'midgets.' As they are brought in, I see that they are tiny tropical birds, all brightly coloured. They sit on the stage near us, and they have clear, human voices. I wanted to stare at them but I knew I shouldn't cause they were 'midgets'. Two people from my school then sing a duet in which they pretend to kiss - the song is essentially 'Can You See the Love Tonight'.

My brother has invited an absurd amount of people over to the house, and instead of having a party or whatever, they all simply want to sleep over. So my family room has mattresses and blankets everywhere, with people in them, and although I don't actually go there, I'm aware that my brother's room is the same deal. For some reason instead of sleeping in my room, I have to find a spot in the family room among everyone else. I see a couple of chairs with blankets on them, but when I pull back the blankets there are people sleeping there. I eventually find a spot on the floor, and watch as my brother plays a racing game with 11 of his friends. The set-up is that 6 are playing on the Xbox in the family room, and 6 are on the one in his room. My mum comes in and tells me to go to bed, but after heatedly negotiating I avoid this.

I am at home, and on a whim I decide to take our Harley-Davidson motorcycle (which we dont actually have) and ride it around the neighbourhood, naked. It's late at night so I assume I won't be seen much, however unfortunately as I pull out the neighbour is returning home, and sees me, and then when I'm riding around I happen to come across almost everyone I know at various points. This dream was very frustrating as it was very vivid, and I thought it was completely real, and so I was extremely annoyed at the astronomical odds that on one night I could see so many people that I know. They were seperate too, not in a group or anything, but rather all there on their own business, unconnected. It was the kind of dream that, after I woke up, I was immensly relieved that it hadn't happened and I wasn't about to be embarrassed by everyone.
    3. Lucid Adventures: Carjacking, RCing and Friend-Meeting

So I'm strolling around my neighbourhood, with a friend I think, and then all of a sudden lucidity! I very much want to drive a car, so I stand near the middle of the road and attempt to grab the door handles and carjack them as they drive by. Understandably, this proves troublesome, especially because a lot of the cars veer away from me, either from trying not to hit me or not wanting to get carjacked, or a combination of both.

I give up on this, and head a bit further up the road, where I see some parked cars, so I try to open them but they're locked. I try too hard and one of their alarms go off. I run off, not too scared though cause I knew it was just a dream. Well, I was fairly certain... I had become worried that it might be real life and the cops were after me, so I checked my right hand and sure enough, a finger was missing and another had a large hole in it, so that the top of my finger was floating off my hand, Rayman-style.

Satisfied with that, I keep heading on down the road and as I come to a corner I think 'Dean is there!' and start shouting 'Hey Dean! Dean!' (Dean's my friend IRL) As I come around the corner there is a child of about age 10, riding a scooter. I shout at him, 'Hey Dean! You're Dean!' and so forth. His face and hair morph to become a fairly good approximation of Dean, however his height was still that of a 10 year old, and that bugged me immensly so I went off. I turned around towards him and in a final 'screw you', I threw a skateboard at him and then kept on going. Around the corner again, was a person the right height, so I morphed him into Dean and said 'Hey Dean! Hey Dean! Dean! Dean! Hey!' to which he responded 'WHAAAAATT!!!!' I took a minute to think of something to say, and decided to ask the meaning of life. So I say 'Hey Dean, what's the meaning of l--' He interrupts me sharply, shouting 'A!!!' (like a multiple choice answer), and I hear the sound of the typical 'wrong answer' buzzer from game shows. As well as this, I see some other friends from school heading down the road towards me, and they had their names floating above them, in the style of World of Warcraft, except their names were red, denoting that they were hostile. The combination of all these things shocked me so much that I woke up.

I'm fairly happy about this, as it is my first proper lucid dream for more than a year! What was strange though was how indistinct my transition to lucidity was. In other lucid dreams, suddenly I'd realise 'I'm dreaming!' and then I'd feel very excited and weightless and light-headed. In this dream however, I was walking around and simply acknowledged, 'yes I'm lucid now' and continued on as ever. Its probably a good thing, as I maintained an extremely good level of control of the dream. It was also very vivid and realistic, hence my worry that it was real life.
    4. Bases, Gandalf and Payment Plans

Two bases on a snowy map. They have to assault our blue crystal - we continously repel them. There are only two players on the team, whom I fend off. Eventually we're all fighting on a kind of snowy bridge thing, trying to knock one another off, and then a powerful Gandalf-like figure comes and saves everyone who had fallen.

Going to someone's party, people from school are there plus a few who had left school a few years ago. We all catch up.

I go into an interviewer-style room, with some friends and we go to our seperate interviewers with the products we want to buy. Think those places in tech stores where you go into an office to organise the financing for TVs and stuff, except I was just buying a handful of lollies. After discussing payment options, I finally reveal to him that I have no money, and he gets very angry at me and kicks me out, so I spend the rest of the time milling about, counting the small amount of money I had and eating random things.

I'm with some people from the student council at school and they're insisting that the school pays for all my clothes.

    5. Fragments: Dressing Up, Gliders, Parkour

I didn't remember much of this but I'm trying to write it all down regardless to improve my recall! Perhaps things will 'trigger' the memories further on in the day.
      • Dressing up for some reason, at first my costume was going to be Pyramid Head from Silent Hill but then I stole someone else's costume, and I was some kind of English admiral, think Captain Cook, with the fancy parade uniform. I liked this one, but unfortunately it slowly morphed into some ludicrous pink parrot head thing.
      • Some friends and I, (possibly in the same dream, at the festival for which we were dressing up) discovered some strange Da Vinci-like glider machines, think the one from Assassin's Creed 2, made of wood and canvas. I took it and tried it out, and it worked really well! I glided around and it was actually really fun.
      • All throughout this same dream, I was performing epic feats of parkour - jumping off ultra high things, rolling around, doing crazy flips and such.

Worth noting was the glider, and how that worked. It was probably the best experience of flying I've had so far, and despite the fact that I wasnt lucid, I enjoyed it immensly. It seemed to impress my friends too, as though noone else was able to.

Off Topic: I think I need to search up some dream recall techniques, as the past few days I haven't really remembered much except tiny fragments.

    6. Durzo Blint, Acquaintances and Baseball

-I was in some kind of generic area, and I was the apprentice of Durzo Blint, legendary assassin from the 'Night Angel' trilogy. A female character (possibly another character from the books) attacked me, and I had to defend myself. At first it seemed hopeless, as she was a tough fighter, but then I remembered/realised that I was Durzo's apprentice and therefore extremely well-trained. I fought back better then, however still suffered some deep cuts in my hands. Someone else intervened and decapitated the aggressing female.
It was cool to be fighting in a dream, and I noticed that I felt no pain, more of a shock when my hands were cut.
-I'm in the wings of a hall, where a presentation is underway. With me was a man who seemed to be a school principal/general authority figure, and he was using his finger to scrape a greasy resin off of a radiator and sniffing it desperately, like an alcoholic scouring the dregs of his long-gone drink.
I don't know what to make of this fragment, quite bizarre, really.
-I'm at a school similar to a school where I go to take certain classes. I'm either with, or am watching some people, as they greet another boy whom I recognise as some kind of acquaintance, e.g. from my soccer team or something along those lines. He is tallish, pale, with white blond curly hair. His name was mentioned but I can't remember it.
Nothing too interesting here, although worth mentioning in that I had previously seen someone similar to that description in real life, walking down the street.
-I'm on a baseball pitch, on the fielding team. The people playing are mostly random, but some I recognised from my soccer team, including the coach's assistant, who was a coach in the dream. Not knowing much about how to field in baseball, I take whatever position seems empty - to the right of the shortstop. However, my team-mates tell me to go and stand in left outfield, near 3rd base and I do so. A fairly average game of baseball ensues, except that the ball is a large, unwieldy, misshapen hunk of leather.
Baseball, fuelled by the lack of baseball know-how only an Australian could have...
-I'm lucid, however my surroundings are very unclear and are comprised of dark, multi-coloured, fuzzy shapes. I attempt to clear up the dream, saying things along the lines of 'Clearer!', and it works slightly, increasing the 'resolution' of the shapes so that they are well-defined, but the surroundings remain just as nonsensical. In my frustration, the dream dissolves.
This one annoyed me, but interestingly enough, it was a well-performed WILD, which I'd never done before. Just lying there and descending into the dream while maintaining my awareness. If anything, this gives me hope for repeated instances.
    7. Gummy Fishes, Cupcakes and Samurais

      by , 08-31-2011 at 08:35 AM
      Date: 30/08/11
      Time: Some time around 3:30am
      Memory Clarity: 2/10

So I was in an area where I used to hang out at school, with some friends. We were in the process of cleaning small, living gummy fishes, putting them in bags and then doing something else with them. I then left the area after doing this for an unspecified amount of time, and walked to another area of the school, where a small table was there with cupcakes on top. There were some people milling about, so I took the cupcakes and handed them around. Someone had left a katana (samurai sword) on the table, and it was at this point that I realised that I was, in fact, a samurai, with my own sword. There was a person there asking everyone if the sword was theirs, so I volunteered to safeguard it for the moment, and put it in my belt opposite my own sword. However, an acquaintance from school then came and offered to do the same. It all worked out though, because there was another sword there, so we had one each.

That was all, nothing of great importance.
    8. Half Forgotten Lucid Dream

      by , 08-31-2011 at 08:28 AM
This was from a while back - I hadn't remembered it too well:

      I remember:
      • Took a long thin alcohol bottle smashed it on a benchtop and mashed into a bed. No idea why.
      • I took someone's phone, destroyed it, but then materialised about 10 more.
      • I attemped to hover on my stomach - It was difficult.
      • Checked my hands continously!
      • Had a false awakening, but checked my hands and confirmed it was still a dream.

And thats it. Sounds like I might have been angry for some reason.. who knows?
