    Dream - Driving For Lucidity

Dream No. 296 - Driving For Lucidity
    Lucid Dream 14

I don't remember what happened at the start of the dream. From where I do remember, the scene was in some unknown area and Sly was the main character in this first scene. He was doing something with Murray but I forgot what specifically. What I can remember is that at some point, Sly and Murray hugged each other, which brought about some effect but again, the specifics have been forgotten. They both had the appearance of how they are in Sly 3.

In the next part of the dream, I am doing something. There I come across Murray but his appearance is now how he was in Sly 1, including his personality. Apparently we were going to take a drive in his van. The seats were arranged as to how they are in US and Europe driving laws, with the driver on the left and passenger on the right. So I was sitting in the passenger's seat and Murray was in the driver's seat.

We went into this tunnel and I saw these pink Ls floating around, like an item collectable in a racing game. The sub-scene that was playing in the back of my dream-mind. It was me saying, “Each L you collect will make you lucid for three seconds. Collect as many as possible”. I was saying this as the dream-camera zoomed in closely on one of the floating Ls. The scene then focused back on Murray and I in the van. He said something to me but I forgot what it was. I then told him, “Murray, collect all the Ls that you see!”. So he did just that. Just for me, he swerved this way and that way to collect all the Ls in the tunnel.

As soon as he collected the first L, my way of thinking changed and I did feel aware of my surroundings. I was now paying really close attention, directing Murray to all the Ls in sight by pointing. Just as we were heading towards the end of the tunnel, the last L was in sight. A few seconds after the collection of the last L, I still felt aware of my surroundings but after that string of few seconds, I lost lucidity. So therefore, nothing much was done in the lucid segment.

The dream then skipped to my current house but I forgot what I was doing there. I was there with my brother and my dad, my mum was somewhere outside. That's all I can remember for this dream.

    - Suspected WBTB (2.0)
    - Interact with a dream character (2.0)

    Total Points:
    14.5

    Evidence/Suggestion of Points:
Was trying for a lucid all night, didn't get one. Woke up at 9:30 AM, thought I'd fall asleep and try again for a lucid in my lucky last 1.5 hrs of available sleep time. The dream gave me a stingy little patch of lucidity to work with.

Not sure how to classify the non-lucid dream because the lucid section was right in the middle of it. If there was no lucid segment, I would have awarded 1 point for the non-lucid but as it is divided, I've decided to make a judgement of 0.5

nooo i didn't mean that you weren't lucid you can give yourself the 10points if you think you were aware while in the dream. i only asked about the wbtb, which means: did you wake up and then go back to sleep, with a degree of intention of wanting and trying to have a lucid dream? if you did, then you get 2 points.

Interesting way of stabilising the lucidity. What did the tunnel/your surroundings look like? Was there any other traffic on the road?

Ah no sweat. This was a hard dream to calculate because I was only seemingly aware of my surroundings when we ran into the Ls. But no fingers or funny clocks involved. Like it started out non-lucid, then I was lucid for how ever many seconds, and then non-lucid. So just the tinciest amount of lucid you could possibly think of. It's funny it's as if this was like some newly introduced lucid power-up for a MarioKart game. And by what you described at the end of your comment, I think that's a WBTB. I'm harsh on myself when it comes to fairness and other things, so I reckon I'd be good at hosting these comps in the future. By the way, I think I'm about to score 2 more points as the comment tally here will hit 6 soon.

13WAR08T: The surroundings of the tunnel do remind me of one in a MarioKart game but I can't quite put my finger on what racing track. No traffic which is nice, no one for Murray and his drunk driving to contend with XP

Right ok. So many rules and descriptions. You can certainly tell that this is my first competition, LOL. If you've got time, maybe you could re-analyse my dream and suggest what points are given.
