    1. My Coolest LD Yet

by , 11-19-2011 at 02:39 PM (The Absurd Adventures of CWHunt)
Alright, this makes up for the nightmare LD I had last night. Oh MAN this dream was great. The dream was as realistic as real life. I know that probably isn't a big thing for you, but I am pretty fricken excited. I have never had such a vivid LD. Alright, I guess I should tell you about it now!
Also, my next goal is getting better dream control.

Alright, I should probably give you quick backstory. This dream was actually a bit longer than I thought. You see, I lived with my parents, but they weren't really my parents. They were different people entirely. And one day someone came to our door and trapped us in. The guy somehow was scamming us for money and when he left we had nothing. Then the world got upgraded with these high-tech items, but they didn't work, and this was causing a global outburst.

Well, the dream starts with my friend and we need to stop everything that is happening. We go to tons of places and start to take care of what is happening. We leave the house and start to cure the world of its problems. We end up with another one of my friends and we enter some sort of casino. People are crowding for money pouring out of machines and I suddenly become lucid.

I have never had an LD like this. Everything was so vivid. There were no blurry views, and the world was so active. We ran out of the building in the the town I was in during about two past dreams. I will find out which ones later. Suddenly we realized the guy that started this all was in a gas station about a mile away. Due to my poor LD skills I wasn't able to fly.

Oh well, I was running with my friends. Suddenly a goon comes up and tries to kill us, but I think up a strange beam coming from my hands to kill him, and thank god it does. We continue running and one of my friends runs faster and ends up at the gas station. Suddenly the gas station begins to crumble. We run faster and actually make it as the place is falling apart. I noticed my thoughts were getting cloudy so I shouted for clarity. Nothing too strange, except for a few people staring at me like I'm an idiot after yelling that.

We try to talk to the bad guy, but he won't listen. I realize if I go to my parents I could prove what he has been doing, and report the cops. I run out and run to my house. I quickly run to my parents working on the house and loose lucidity.

I tell my parents about whats happening and they want me to help around the house. I do a small job and go behind my barn and see my dad working on a fence. I realize that if I stay there I will have to work, so I run. I suddenly remember I am dreaming again.

Alright, time to get my dream flying down. I go behind my house and attempt the jump. It doesn't work, but the jump actually felt like I was using my muscles. The dream was so realistic. I decided to climb to the top of my house and attempt it. I got on top and started to run. I turned my head for a second and this moved my real head.

Coolest dream ever! I loved it! Totally makes up for the horror that was the mirror in my last dream. Man, I am so excited right now!

    2. The Mirror

by , 11-19-2011 at 01:21 AM (The Absurd Adventures of CWHunt)
Alright, lets get this out of the way. I have Catoptrophobia. I can't say that it is incredibly bad, but I get really paranoid around mirrors. Especially in a dark area. I don't think I will ever get over it. Oh well, its not a huge deal. I'll just make sure my room never has a mirror in it.

The dream began with my friends at some campground. It was around a ocean, and we needed to go to Walmart to get some food for dinner. We returned later and we decide to take a nap. I end up falling asleep and waking up in my loft.
Odd... I don't sleep in my loft. At least, not since I had my Exploding Head Syndrome incident. Too creepy.
I did a reality check and discovered I was dreaming. It was a very vivid dream. The only somewhat blurry area was the top of my view. Thats when I noticed something in front of me. A mirror. I was terrified.
In real life I become incredibly paranoid and imagine the worst possible thing that could happen. I expect someone behind me.
I quickly tried to fling it away, but it didn't work. I knew if I thought of the worst, it would happen. Suddenly the thought hit my head, "Is someone behind me?"
A face appeared behind me in the mirror. I checked and it wasn't there. I began to freak out. I didn't want to be lucid anymore. The mirror grew larger and my reflection walked towards me. It was getting larger. It then hit me, I would wake myself up somehow. I thought quickly, closed my eyes, and screamed as loud as I possibly could. The scream was the loudest thing I have ever heard. It almost hurt my ears even though it wasn't a real sound. I felt the pain.

I then woke up in my bed.

Sorta freaked me out about lucid dreaming. And overcoming this fear isn't simply, getting over it. Its a phobia. Its almost impossible to cure. Oh well, the lucid dreaming will go on I guess...

    3. The "Other" Family

by , 11-06-2011 at 11:00 PM (The Absurd Adventures of CWHunt)
Did that WILD I was talking about for a nap today. It worked! First WILD in about 6 months. I think I've broken my dry spell. I hope at least.

I decided to take a nap and attempt a WILD. I entered SP and really it wasn't that scary. Nothing seemed to happen. I kept at this for what felt life ten minutes until I awoke in my bed. I went with the assumption it didn't work and carelessly forgot to RC. Luckily as I walked into my hallway I remembered to RC and realized I was dreaming.

I didn't get too excited and decided to start simple because this is one of the most stable LDs I have ever had. I jumped down my stairs and slowly floated to the floor. As I touched the floor everything suddenly began to get blurry. I became dizzy and fell to the floor. I wasn't gonna let this dream end. I wasn't able to get up and spin due to my dizziness, but I could rub my hands together. I attempted to but my hands seemed to act like magnets and would push each other away. I was beginning to loose the dream even more as a odd void formed around the area. I quickly felt the walls to notice how realistic this really was. I couldn't believe it. I continued to feel the area around me and continued to tell myself it was a dream so I wouldn't loose my lucidity amongst the realistic objects I was messing with. Suddenly everything became clear again and I was able to continue on.

I got up and watched as my cat walked up to me. I tried to pet it but it just ran away like in real life. I followed it into the kitchen to notice my family surrounding a child in a high chair. I walked up to them to realize that only my father actually looked like himself. Everyone else was completely different than anyone I am related to in reality.

In real life I have a sister. No one else. So my family is made of four people.

The people there were my parents, a boy a few years younger than me, and the little kid in the high chair. I asked where my sister was and they laughed telling me that I didn't have a sister. I took this chance to tell them that this was simply a dream, and they took this as funny as they mocked me and my parents walked into the other room. I was left with my brother and the kid in the high chair as I told my brother that this was a dream. I laughed at me too while I told him that I would prove it to him. I stuck my hand out and told him that I would shoot water out of my finger tips. Not only was my hand purple, but I wasn't able to shoot water out of it. My brother made fun of me as I walked over to a table with red velvet cake on it. I grabbed it and took a bite only to discover it had the most bland taste. Yeah, not the best first impression of dream food. It wasn't gross but it wasn't good.

I decided to look in my hallway and saw a rocking horse in the middle of it. I looked at my brother and told him to look at it, but when I looked back in the hallway but it wasn't there anymore. Suddenly my parents told me that a tornado was coming and we needed to go in their room to stay safe. I decide to follow to see what would happen. I entered the room, but no one was in it. Suddenly the door closed behind me.

I looked out of the window and noticed the tornado coming towards us. I wasn't very worried since it couldn't hurt me, but I wanted to know where my family went. Suddenly things began to fall apart. The wall was torn to pieces as the ceiling crumbled to the ground. The floor suddenly collapsed as a huge swirling portal opened below me. I wanted to jump in but the area around me was so real I couldn't believe it. So realistic. The way the house tore itself apart. Suddenly I felt something grab me. I was being drug into the portal. I attempted to fly away but nothing worked. I tried to hang onto the floor boards, but I suddenly was flung backwards into the portal.

Next thing I knew I was in my bed.. awake.

Okay, that dream may have seemed boring since all I did was hang with my family and then get sucked into a portal, but it was beyond cool to me. I have never had a LD so vivid, or long. WILDs are definitely the way to go to have the most vivid and long LD. Man... I wish I was dreaming right now haha!
    4. My Little Alternate Universe

by , 10-31-2011 at 03:11 AM (The Absurd Adventures of CWHunt)
This dream happened years ago. And when I say that I mean YEARS. I was probably 8-9 years old. All I know is that it is probably the most memorable, and vivid, dream I have ever had. An interesting thing about this dream was that this was before I knew what lucid dreaming was. You will understand why that is important later...
This dream probably spanned over the course of six months, but it skipped forward quite a bit. Just... you'll find out.

      Just A Normal Day...
I awake in my bed with usual ease and quickly venture down the stairs. Nothing seems wrong, and why should it? I get myself some breakfast and get ready for school when my sister comes down and asks what I'm doing here. Of course, I question this as my father comes in and looks at me in sudden shock. It doesn't take long before he explains to me that I died in a car accident about 5 years ago with my mother. What? My mom isn't dead. I saw her last night before I went to bed.
I begin to explain this to them as they sit there and contemplate what is happening. They ask me how I got here. I explain to them I went to bed last night and now I'm here. Simple as that. My father figures it out. I am dreaming. I am dreaming in "their world". I really don't want to be here though. I want to be home with my real family, and to live my life normally. My father sends my sister off to school and tries to figure out how to wake me up.

      The Solution... Sorta
After a few hours my dad finally thinks of something. I will live in this life for the time being while he works out a way to wake me up. This isn't the solution I was hoping for but I realized I could easily come to live in this world.
Here is the thing. This is the world I have always wanted. This is my version of a utopia where nothing is wrong. In this world my house was exactly the same (back when I was 8-9), but it was placed in a neighborhood instead of the country. I hate the country. Not that I despise it, but I don't want to live in it.
Can't say my idea on the country has changed since then...
I think a month or two skipped. I was still living in this world and I had grown to love it. I still wanted to return home though. This dream may seem boring to you but it was the life I have always wanted. I almost feel sadness thinking about returning though. I would return to this dream any day though, and I plan on returning to it once I get more control of my lucid abilities.
Well, anyway, there was this insane storm. It was crazy and the lights were flickering on and off, and I can tell you I was pretty terrified of it. My dad suddenly realized out computer wasn't turned off and if we kept it on then if the power went off it could kill it. We all run upstairs and shut it off as the power goes out. We made it just in time. Time then skips another month.

      The First Attempt
There was one really strange thing about this dream. It was logical (for the most part). Nothing seemed off about it. Time was always how it should have been, and everything in my house was the exact same way in my real house.
I awoke at about 11 at night for some reason and was so excited because I thought I was finally awake. I also had a sudden wave of sadness as I walked down the stairs. I never even got to say goodbye. Things changed as I entered the kitchen. Our living room connects to the kitchen and I saw my dad watching TV in it. I looked into my kitchen and noticed that one of our tables was replaced with some strange blue laser machine. I asked my dad what it was and he told me it should shock me awake. I was pretty happy. And I also wasn't. I said my goodbye to him and told him to tell my sister goodbye as I walked into the laser.
      Nothing.
I was still here and nothing had changed. He had a disappointed look because his contraption didn't work, but I knew he was happy I was still there. I could just feel it. I went on up to bed again and slept.

      The Pickle Salesmen
My sister arrived home from school and told me that her class was selling pickles to win a trip of your choice. I thought going around the neighborhood would be a great idea, and she had no trouble agreeing. We set off from the house and sold those pickles like wildfire. That sounds... really, really weird.
We sold enough to win her the trip and we returned home. My dad then told me he might have a way to finally send me home. He was keeping it a surprise until the next day though. For some reason I was wishing that day would never come. This was my home now. I almost wanted it to be...

      The Final Goodbye
I awoke, still in the dream, and did some normal things. It was around noon when I went outside and started to hang with some of my friends that I had made during my time in this dream. My father came up carrying a skateboard and told me that I could go home now. He put the skateboard down and told me to lie on my back on it, and then push. It would wake me up.
I knew this was the end. I was leaving for good. This was probably the most emotional goodbye that I have ever had to make in a dream. I hugged everyone around my block and got on the skateboard. Everyone was smiling. I really remember that. They were so happy for me. I just laid there while they waited for me to finally return from where I came.
I let out that final goodbye and pushed. I flew backwards. The skateboard went faster and faster, but I still saw their waves of goodbye in the midst of the blur. The neighborhood slowly turned into a speck as I flew further and further back into blackness. I suddenly awoke in my bed the next morning.
      I was home...

I am going back. Nothing will stop me from returning there. I don't care if that was just a memory in my head being morphed into something bigger than it needed to be, but I will never forget this dream. I think about it all the time, and this proves there is nothing but joy in a dream if you really believe in it. I may have been lucid, but I didn't care. I just wanted to be there. If I had known what lucid dreaming was during that time I bet you I would have skipped this entire adventure by. In the midst of my mind there is one thing that will always stand out forever, and ever.
      This one, single, dream.
