Time crunch

After leaving a hardware store and messing around with a bunch of colleagues (or acquaintances?), we walk back to our workshop. In the way there, I get a familiar cat to follow us home for my own entertainment. The warehouse was scattered with boxes and equipment, and once we got through a door next to an office, my director was awfully mad at me. After he calls me over, I observe a couple of large 6-foot white tanks. Apparently a while ago I must have let something slip out of my hands while goofing off, and ended up breaking a pipe/valve. He's pressuring me to fix it with the crew, otherwise it'll blow up. I keep getting the sense it'll kill all of us, but he's blaming it on me, persisting I fix the problem. I give him a worried look, and he says, "the explosion will only stay in this area. But I still don't want that to happen." I look at the tanks, hearing gas leak, and my heart rate goes up from the time constraint.
