    1. Creature in the Dark

      by , 08-15-2013 at 01:24 AM
      Dream 1
I'm at a campground with several friends. The entire place is dark and gloomy, and I feel off kilter from the very beginning. The campground is mostly a steep hill that ends at a lake, with a little management cabin/bathrooms by the lake. We're the only people this close to the bottom. Our tent is set up behind a tree, hugging it. Once again, it is dark, gloomy, and has an air of trouble brewing.

We're all inside the tent. There are at least five of us. One girl is bigger, has blonde hair and glasses, and reminds me of L's friend.

The tent is only big enough to accommodate one, yet we're all in the tent and don't give it a second thought. The front is zipped up, and it is night.

We all know that something dark is out there, waiting to pounce. I can't see anything since it's so dark out, only the faint outline of the tent in front of my nose. We can hear it's footsteps as it circles the tent. Suddenly, something strikes at the tent and the side is dented inward. Then all I can hear is the scrabbling sound of fingernails on the plastic-y surface of the tent. I scream and grab at the tent, holding it together so that it can't enter. My friends are sobbing and crying out behind me, but they are background noises to the sound of the zipper being jerked downward.

I think that it was gone for a while. We made a mad dash for an old, twisted tree on the other side of the road. The fat friend shouted out something, and I thought that it was funny. I'm climbing up this tree like there's no tomorrow, leaping from limb to limb. I finally find a secure spot that seems to be the highest point. I settle down, all while looking at the ground to be on guard. I know that my friends are being caught, behind me, but can't turn around to look.

Then I 'wake up'. I want to remember the dream so I can write it down later so I start to remember each bit that happened, carefully. I'm sucked in. Everything happens similarly. When we get to the old tree, I'm trying to find the spot that I perched in before but can't. I find a similar spot and sit there for a moment. Something dark churns beneath me.

As one, we all jump out of the tree and run up the road. We're all terrified and out of breath, there are broken sobs. Then we come upon two big tents and some picnic tables. Music is blasting, people are everywhere, and you can hear the sound of glass being tapped together. A cute boy with an odd, perky stride walks by.

"Here, we'll be safe here. Let's stay." Someone says in a breathless, relieved, voice. No, let's not stay, I think. I feel a bad vibe from this place, but I can feel my resolve weakening as I keep an eye on that pretty boy and the blasting music reels me in. It sounds like a fun time.

I open my eyes. It's completely dark in my room. I can't seem to move, and I feel very weak. Like I just exercised a day straight. It's a nice kind of weak. Why is it dark? I think. It's morning, it should be light. The curtains are closed, I notice. I get a sudden, panicky feeling. I struggle in the blankets for a moment. I can't keep my eyes closed, I know that he (the thing from my dream) was in the room. I hear footsteps on the wooden floor.

"Dad!" I call. My voice is very quiet, and weak. I try again. "Dad! Come here!" I could hear him talking with my brother, S, as they came up the stairs. "S! Come here!" He stands just outside the open door to talk to me.

      "What?"
"I need you to go to the library and get a book for me. "

"What? Why?" In a whining voice. Then the shuffle of paper. I needed the book with the gem on the cover, the book that was the twin to the one that I already had.

      Dream 2
I live in a village in the middle of nowhere. The world is about to end and we are packing all of our belongings into this space craft, where we will live for the rest of eternity. By 'the end of the world' I mean that the entire world, besides our UFO, will disappear into a never ending white blur.

Everyone is discouraged. They think that we will starve aboard the ship. I pack chickens, pigs, lots of sheep, and cows. They freely move about. My plan was that we would eat the eggs that the chickens lay, and that the slain animals would respawn back on the ship. A villager made a nasty comment about how they wouldn't respawn back on the ship, but out in the white. I responded by saying that we would survive on the eggs.

I laid down endless red and white beds along the sides of the ship. I told the villagers that we could dig downward and make sleeping quarters. I imagined a long hallway to explore, and huge rooms filled with bunk beds. It sounded fun.

I thought that it would be nice to have kittens, for fun, on the ship. I found a box of them at the last minute. They were very rare. It turned out that a woman had sex with a cat to give birth to them, everyone hushed when that was revealed. She gave instructions as to how to make babies with a cat.

I was throwing everything I could possibly find on board. We were about to leave at any second. I ran outside to find more stuff to put on the ship. A countdown begins out loud. The villagers are screaming at me and beckoning for me to come back now. I run.

Everything was blank, but then we somehow go forward into the past/future. We're in the village again, except it's inhabited by different people, the buildings are slightly changed, and one building is deteriorated. The villagers (from the ship) creep forward hesitantly. They look incredibly out of place, with their long, old-fashioned dressed and top hats.

Some of them start to cry because they don't know if they will pop back into the past/future in a second, and the thought of never seeing their village again made them sad.

      Lucid Dream 3
I remember flying around my town and breaking into someone's house. A woman with short hair lived there. The fact that she had dyed red hair seemed important. She lived there with her family. I started regretting breaking into the house because I was stuck skittering room to room to avoid being seen. "Why did I do this?" I mournfully ask myself as I run into the guest bedroom that is rarely used. I literally dive on the bed, which looks incredibly inviting because of the fluffy comforter and huge pillows.

I hide behind a column beside the sofa as someone enters the living room. I mentally curse the dad when he decided to not go to work today, and to stay home. He has on a tux and carries a suitcase.

When the person leaves the room I jump onto the sofa and over the back. I crouch down behind it.

Now I'm on the back road beside the elementary school. I'm flying at least at tree level. I decide that, yeah, this must be a dream because I'm flying. Everything turns golden and light. It reminds me of heaven. There is no ground. I want to work on my swimming for the next meet, and I remember reading somewhere that practicing something in a dream can make you better at in real life. I start doing butterfly midair. It feels weird. It's uncomfortable and tight on my shoulder joints, but it also feels crazy because I'm the air!

Another short lucid dream that I remembered while writing this. Might've happened on Friday? Everything is blue, and there is no ground. I'm swimming butterfly, easily. There is the edge of this sky-pool way ahead, and there are even little handles for backstroke starts and blocks. It all feels unreal, because everything is floating. I an hear a crowd talking and get the distinct feeling that there was a large room to my right. It was made out of concrete. There was a dark-skinned woman with big brown hair there, laughing.

      Dream 1
I'm in a little flat, my dad's house. My uncle and cousin are visiting. My uncle J was unable to bring food, so my dad bought food for dinner (tacos?). Later that same day, not too long after we'd last eaten, J brings in a box of pizza that he'd bought. He seems proud of it, as if it was an accomplishment.

Whenever they first came in I am oddly embarrassed and can't look my cousin straight in the eye, and vice versa. We talk while focusing on something on the table, and making offhand comments.

Anyways, J had brought in the pizza, but I was already full from the previous meal. I ate two or three pieces and started feeling guilty because it wasn't too healthy, and the pizza wasn't even that good. It had no taste. But I thought, what the hell, and grabbed another slice. Then I dumbly made a comment about how the pizza wasn't as good as the previous meal, or something that implied that. Uncle Jeff hesitated, looking upset, and I backtracked as fast as possible, feeling like a retard.

      Lucid Dream 2
I'm sitting on a chair in a baby blue room. Something happens that I find suspicious, and I think, "This is something that would happen in a dream." I see myself in third person as I do a nose RC, which easily turns up positive. I immediately stand up and start to fly, outside.

Unfortunately I don't remember most of what happened. I flew along the road, heading south from my dad's house. I started to imagine scary things, just after I dropped something I'd been carrying, maybe a bandanna. I looked behind me as I flew and thought, "Wow, that'd be terrifying if that tree came alive and ate that bandanna". The tree's roots reached forward and grabbed it, twisting around. I saw a black, pumpkin-face in the bark. This really terrified me. I started shaking and was really scared, and my fight-or-flight instincts were activated. I was just about to bolt and probably cause something to start chasing me. Fortunately, a voice in my head told me to calm down and fly quickly.

I remember searching for a partner, and smirking at someone as I quickly took off my pants. I was pleased that I could actually feel my pants, tight around the waist, and actually had to shimmy out of them. In most dreams everything happens in a blur; I want my pants to be off and they're off. Or more often than not, I don't even register that I had pants on in the first place. I want to fly and I'm instantly in the air, not even getting the pleasure of starting to run and then taking off. Everything happens too fast. But in this dream I was wearing my old pair of skinny jeans, the pale gray ones. I kept on trying to speed up my flying but it didn't work.

I remember flying without any care, but also being slightly worried about a dark creature approaching me. To curb my fear I held out my hand and imagined a pokeball. It appeared, and I grabbed it out of the sky. I used it to capture this gigantic, hulking, furry creature with a snout. It seemed to be some sort of real-life Tepig (minus the real-life). I threw the ball, and the creature disappeared in a flash of white light into the open pokeball, which then quietly closed. I threw the pokeball again and the creature appeared in front of me, except I wasn't afraid of it anymore and it seemed to protect me. It made me feel safe. It ran behind me on all fours, snorting and bucking its head. It had these huge tusks and a wet, pink nose.

I realized that the Tepig had been missing for a while, probably because it had been behind me and I'd forgotten about it. I told myself that I'd let it run in front of me now so that I wouldn't forget about it. I held my hand out and imagined the shape of a pokeball, again. It appeared, faintly. I 'pulled' it into life, and it popped into 3D. I grabbed it and threw it, and Tepig popped out.

A witch trapped me and kept me tied under something. Every time I tried to escape my heel got rubbed raw. I finally did succeed in escaping, but my achilles tendon felt so weak that I had to limp and felt as tho it was broken and bleeding. It really did feel rubbed raw. This all occurred sometime after a popular girl's birthday party.

I remember being inside a trailer and pausing for a moment. I look over and see cake piled on a white plate. I feel disdainful for a moment, but then think why not and pick one up. Something made me think that it wasn't going to taste good, I think that the edge was burned or the plate was grimy. The cakes themselves were good looking, with pale rainbow colored M&N's. I tried it, and couldn't taste it. It was as if my taste buds were miles away, it was really weird.

I tried to find a city full of people to play in, but didn't succeed. I did manage to conjure a few shops and around fifty people, tho.

I was flying with someone and remembered when I'd flown into a green lightning storm, but wasn't too scared. It's seems to always be too dark in my dreams. Always a dark, cloudy sky.

I see signs along a road and read them as I soar along, while thinking of my first real lucid dream. The letters are strange, they seem to be shapes similar to hieroglyphics. Anybody know why I can't feel or taste things in dreams?
    3. Long Lucid Dream

      by , 07-06-2013 at 09:33 PM

I was in my dad's living room, and something prompted me to think that it was a dream. My brother stood right in front of me. To test my dream theory, I charged right through the wall and my brother, no fear. I saw his eyes widen as I rammed towards him at the speed of light, and I closed my eyes.

Once I opened my eyes I was standing outside. Well, I guess that this is a dream. I attempt flying, but then completely slow down and am slowly spinning out of control, as if I'm in space. This is the first time that I've been unable to fly in a dream. My gaze tilts upward, and the power lines are outlined against the sky. I float alarmingly close to them. All while this is happening, a calm, female voice similar to that of a flight attendant talks inside my head. It seems as though she is some sort of 'lucid dreaming for beginners' guide. She explains something about the power lines, and how they shock you.

I remember that you could sometimes jump to initiate flight, but it's not needed. Soon I'm zooming down the road, above the trees. For some reason in Every. Single. Dream I have, the lower part of the town I live in (past the hospital) is always dramatically changed. In this dream, although I was lucid, I couldn't recall what the area looked like. I jokingly recalled the map of past dreams, not really meaning to explore further but thinking that it'd be funny if it looked like it did in dreams.

I looked down and imagined a small dog coming out of the bushes. Then, I put out my hands in a frame shape and imagined up a dog. It was small, and had matted brown fur. It was still cute.

The dog followed me along, I assume flying. I wanted to come upon something fun to do. We flew above a small camp of ruffians with blue tents. I saw people in tribal paint jumping about, and worried about them attacking me. I believe that this was when two or three other girls joined us, at least two brown-haired and one blonde.

We kept on flying. Our group quickly grew large, and I felt pleased. As if I was collecting people. We landed in a meadow. One girl and I stood by a fence. I studied her. I expected her face to be warped or somehow missing a nose, since it was a dream. She was quite beautiful, even her frizzy hair which stood a good three inches from her face somehow made her seem quaint. She was familiar, but I couldn't put my finger on it.

I told her that she was beautiful. She blushed and looked down. Yes, definitely beautiful, I decided. I asked her what she thought of me, knowing her answer already. This was my dream, of course she would respond positively. She gave me a critical head-to-toe. Then she said that I was beautiful. I jokingly said something about it being a dream. I was worried that she'd freak out since I'd called it a dream, but she didn't. She just half-smiled and laughed. So the people here were completely accepting of it being a dream.

I think that we were still in the meadow when I tried to write something down. God, that was a nightmare. On every single word I had to backspace and retype the letter, but even then I rarely got it right. I realized that it was hard because I was in a dream, and gave up on that.

I wanted to get to a city, and repeatedly commanded a taxi to appear. No luck. Then I told myself that we'd just take a boat. We fly a short while and we come upon a sea that is thrashing wildly, as if in the middle of a storm. We land on the deck and I see a few wary deckhands and smaller boats. I see a small yacht, but decide that it's too small. I pray for a giant cruise ship to pull around the mountain, but instead there comes a wild mix between boat and floating black truck. I didn't bat an eye at it in the dream, besides being disappointed that it wasn't a cruise ship. I pulls close to the deck and we fly to the 'boat deck'. There are doors that you open to get into the seats, and I immediately sit in the first row, window seat. The blonde girl is about to sit down outside the door, but I beg her to sit inside with me. I don't tell her why yet. She resists, but finally comes in to sit.

I want to turn her into an actor and it'll be easier with her since she's already blonde. I tell her that I want to change her appearance into that of an actor, and she readily agrees. I worry that it won't feel the same with her as it would if he'd just walked up out of the mist.

I tell her that I didn't want her to sit outside because things that I didn't have my eye on at all times in dreams had a habit of disappearing. I used the dog as an example, who I hadn't seen for a while and I could only assume had disappeared.

I faced her, but we were on land now. I made her hair blonde, since it was brunette now. I sharpened her nose, changed her teeth. I was having an awful time trying to remember what he looked like, and worrying that I'd gotten a feature wrong. The brown slowly spread back into her/his hair. I said nuh uh and quickly changed it back to blonde. Then he changed into a alien and I got a comic-like picture of him beating his chest while howling at the sky. As a bulgy eyed, white alien. I sighed in disappointment because all my hard work was wasted. I began to lose lucidity.

I was under these stairs, looking for my friend's little brother to put him to bed. With each turn the passageway got smaller and darker. I continued to brightly call for him. I turned once again, and knew that his was a trap to get me so deep in that I couldn't turn around to go back. I saw a panel on the wall shake, and I knew something scary was going to pop out behind it. It quickly turned to leave, and saw the little brother scamper across my path.

I'm running along a dark, leaky room with wet pavement. I'm filled with adrenaline, and can see my friends leaping forward and sprinting beside me.

I'm in a small, old-fashioned town. There's a funeral going on and I unwittingly say something offensive because I didn't know that it was a funeral. There a white church with a steeple beside the garage where the funeral is held. The brown casket is carried into the garage. Dream On by Aerosmith plays in the background, and I'm amazed that I can remember all the words. I'm also amazed that I've remembered the little details from 'a dream past'. I had a false memory of this happening in a dream, and of a crazy lady with wild hair interrupting the funeral.

Although it doesn't seem like it, I'm still partly lucid. I want to try to eat something, so a friend or two and I flew to a fast food restaurant. We go inside, and I break off the top of a drink dispenser. What looks like tapioca is inside. I have it in a cup, and know that it will taste awful. A cop comes over and is mad at us for breaking open the machine.
I force my friend to use her power to turn the white liquid red, hoping that it will disguise it from the cop and also make it taste better. It half-works, the cop stirs it with a finger and the color is instantly stirred under. I wake up.
