Wow, prepare yourselves. First, I had a dream in which I posted my DEILD progress to Yuppie's DEILD Guide thread. Weird , but that's all for THAT dream. Now.... I was in a forest, with particularly green grass for such dead trees. I was talking to a man with black shaggy hair who was very thin about his pet wolf. I was staring up into the 'trees' but all I could see was a light moss green taking up all my vision. "Look for the shadows" they said to me, there was another person there, a younger girl. I can't remember details of her though. After a while I saw this humongous black shadow in the light moss green 'something' I was seeing. It made me REALLY scared. I fell to the ground and then the shadow's owner leaped out of the moss green to the ground in front of me. It was a very small wolf with black fur, possibly a baby. Something like this. He had a voice like Hagrid from Harry Potter of course. But he was long and thin unlike Hagrid. The smaller one. So anyway, I wonder if Yuppie's avatar was an influence in this. Next, LOTS of people were marching from the forest to the school hogwarts style. This was my high school. Everyone there was from school as well. I walked into my usual business studies room but there was a different teacher and four or five students who weren't in the class normally. I went to walk out but they persuaded me to stay in. "I'm just the new teacher." I eventually sat down at a desk. I was very confused The teacher was ms Vonsouvargn or however you spell that name. I think all of the other students were female. At first, everything they were saying to me didn't make sense. The desk had a blue top and black legs. There was an odd light orange/pink lighting in the room. Maybe peach? Blue carpet, white walls. The light was not harsh though, bright but not harsh. Another segment of the dream was being outside the science block. All the year 7 kids were talking about pokemon. It was a tradition in this 'dream school' to give year 7's the pokemon 'Mew' which is extremely rare if you know pokemon. So anyway, all the kids were excited about getting Mew and I was remembering how I got mew but it was on a gameboy not a DS. I was trying to tell year 7 kids how pokemon was better on the gameboy. The walls had painted art on the walls like at school. A blue floor with black speckles on it. I wasn't sure which of these events came first, the business studies or the science block incident. I don't recall travelling between the two but I believe the dream ended at the business studies part so I suppose the science part was before that. I'm not sure if this is as impressive as I think it might be but for me it's great Before I know it, two of these a night or three. Who knows?
I remember talking to a guy in a building with brown wooden planks as the floor and wall about him becoming king. Probably inspired by my late playing of "Mount and Blade: Warband" That's all I can remember though.
I was sitting in my maths classroom I have been in for years at school. It looked entirely normal. We had an exam with two sections. You had to choose one of those sections. One was dreaming and the other was something that I can't remember. It was normal like maths questions for example. I was excited that a dreaming section was there and decided to do that section. It had some subsections on dream guides and dream recall. I remember seeing a page with pictures of cows and sea cows on it. There were other subsections on dreaming I can't remember. I remember we had to write something about cows. My friend Jarod kept calling me Kane 'Legion' Walsh which annoyed me. The teacher Ms Saenz searched my profile on the computer and found my profile with the term Legion. Everyone cheered when my profile popped up. Another scene from a dream was zoomed out and of a roller coaster doing loop de loops. I remember amy saying "Shut up Kane" like usual. I think I was on the roller coaster but I'm not sure.
All I remembered upon waking up was this sentence. 'Trees Planted by Yiri' I couldn't find out who or what Yiri is but it's something.
I managed to remember one dream which isn't bad for me. Here it is. 'I was in a 'club' and everyone in it was female except for me, my gender wasn't noted but I am leaning towards female. I got woken up from a sleep with a 'surprise promotion' which I had to give to someone. We were in a house with white walls and regular furniture, a fairly normal house. The lighting was normal if not bright. It reminded me of a scene from a movie. I was uncomfortable with the pressure of choosing someone to give a promotion. One of the leaders of the club had brown hair in a bun and was wearing thick framed black glasses. In another part I was outside an elevator in a lobby with red carpet and beige walls. I was listening to two people talk and then crying. It was a nice looking place, five star hotel style.
Haven't posted a few sleeps as nothing was new really. One thing that didn't change was no sleep in the afternoon. I was scared my body would start adapting to a biphasic schedule with too short times. Luckily, on day 4, I managed to fall asleep! So, I can see myself crossing that barrier of napping potential. Hopefully within a few days to a week I will be adapted enough to be back to normal awareness. Plus, I will be less sleep deprived with 4.5 hours of sleep than 3.
Man, that was tough. I just stayed up till 5:30, just. I was in zombie mode. I did it though, if you have an iron will this is not for you, you need a unobtainium will. Had a fairly good sleep but still a little tired this morning, I can see myself having an afternoon sleep today. Another thing I noted was that I woke up at 5:50 from a scary dream. Only ten minutes after going to sleep most likely, so a WILD should be possible for my lucid dreaming.
Fell asleep pretty fast, alarm woke me up at 12 and now I feel really tired, long night ahead.
Couldn't fall asleep again, not tired enough to crash with all the distractions such as family and cars driving past. Might invest in ear plugs or a sleeping mask if I need them. For now I'm not too tired still.
Woke up at 7:00 AM fine with my phone alarm . Man, I was really tired from 4:30-5:30 last night or morning or whatever. At first I was feeling more tired than before I went to sleep but feeling just a little bit better already, today is gonna be tough.
Ah yeah, feeling a lot more tired suddenly. Heh, I can last to 5:30 AM!
Erm, it's weird when you set an alarm for 12 AM and set it to buzz and it just doesn't go off. So, woke up at almost 1 AM instead of 12AM. Charging my phone now to use that, other one not reliable enough. Currently feel pretty good and not very tired.
Ah yeah, my first attempt at a sleep was actually at 3:30 after the last day of school today. So I’ll just skip day 1.1 Now, I’m not really the kind of guy to have naps or go to sleep early, depending on your definition of an early time to go to sleep. So, I laid down on my bed and closed my eyes and tried to drift off, not much luck. I got up at about twenty five minutes since laying down and just got back up, not too exciting. I will definitely be able to fall asleep at 10:30 PM though. So hopefully that will be more amusing.
As I journal my adaptation I’ll use this key. Day x=The actual 24 hour day I’ve been doing it. Fourth of April day 1. Fifth of April day 2 etc. x(decimal point)x=The period I’m awake after a sleep. So Day 1.1 would be after I wake up from my 5:30 AM sleep Day 1.2 will be after I wake up from my 3:30 PM sleep Day 1.3 will be after I wake up from my 10:30 PM sleep Make sense? Okay, good.
Hey everyone. This blog will follow me on my journey to adapt to a polyphasic sleep schedule. That is, sleeping more than one time during the day. This may be a foreign idea to you but it has become quite popular especially due to the power of the internet. Polyphasic is an umbrella term for a variety of sleeping schedules reducing the amount of time you sleep from two to five hours. I will be attempting one called Triphasic. As you can probably guess, that’s three times a day. 5:30-7:00 AM Sleep 1 7:00-3:30 PM Wake 1 3:30-5:00 PM Sleep 2 5:00-10:30 PM Wake 2 10:30-12:00 AM Sleep 3 12:00-5:30 AM Wake 3 As I go to school from 8:30 to 2:50 every weekday I needed one where I could have a long enough gap for school. This was the best one. I’m doing this mainly because it’s something different, as well as the fact that you get more time during the day. If you are interested, the internet has lots of resources and trypolyphasic.com is a pretty good forum to go to for advice and general discussion.
