Just a fragment and dream today.

    Scrap Group 1

At a fancy resort with family. We wandered from a lounge and into several dining areas. Much of the food looked to be standard fair, but was quite overpriced. I 'remembered' there was an adjacent casino with decent food for much cheaper, making me wonder why we didn't stop there. At one point, I stumbled into the food prep area. All of the products seemed to be processed directly from raw resources. Later, some random guy gave advice. I kinda ignored him, hurting the guy's feelings. Something about this somehow plays into a forgotten scene in the dream below.

Dream 1 - Tonight's Forecast - Embarrassment, Curiosity, and Rage

Scene 1 - Embarrassing Tech Job Training
The visuals were a bit blurred. I was in a large conference room with a sizeable crowd. Apparently, I was a recent hire for some IT jo, of which I was going through training.

Leading this presentation was a sharply dressed, olive skinned man with black flattop hair, one of the higher ups in the place. He set up a projector, of which displayed various facets networking, and working with several kinds of Linux-based terminals. As I was writing notes, the boss took a seat nearby. To give him space, I had to clear away my belongings messily scattered on the floor. Quite an embarrassing display on my part.

Later on, I tried getting closer to the projector for a better look at the material. There wasn't room to squeeze through. So, I shrunk myself to less than half my size, running under the others' chairs and legs until I reached the front.

Upon a closer look at the material, I realized that many of my own files were on display. This included a variety of emulated games. Given I (supposedly) did this on a work computer... well, yet another embarrassment... Transition.

Scene 2 - Control Converter and Vintage Speakers
The visuals were dimmer. I was in an unknown apartment suite, a barebones place without any view of the outside, and not even drywall to cover its own outer brick walls from the inside. My brother, Antonio, was there, as was my nephew, Patrick, I believe.

Soon, a large package arrived. Various large electronics were inside. One of these was a compact but clearly vintage (and possibly expensive, given its engraved metallic boxes) speaker system. The other was some kind of multi-console controller converter hub. This device had slots for Sega Saturn and Dreamcast, and I believe I saw ports for Playstation 1 and 2 and Sega Genesis pads, as well. A manual claimed this was made to be specifically compatible with various kinds of emulators.

Antonio hooked up a Saturn and CRT TV lying around, and tested the hub out. He cycled through various niche fighting games, mostly 3D ones, but I don't recall details. As he did that, I messed around with the stereo. Interestingly, this device had numerous pre-amp options tailor-made for each video game console. There were also several mixer controls, but given the limited space, it required complicated commands and tuning to get much use out of it.

    Unknown transition.

    Scene 3 - Drunk Fuming
The visuals were a bit blurred. I was in an unknown house, going out to its back yard. There was a pretty big party going on, mostly a family event. It seemed the lot of them decided to get drop-dead drunk. What wretchedness. As a teetotaler, I found this to be a most despicable sight. Well, who am I to judge...

My ma, woefully, one of such drunks. She soon lets out a stream of insults to anyone in her sights, many remarks way out of line. Mom or not, I was infuriated beyond reason. With an empty bottle I was trashing, I did the unthinkable, and 'accidentally' bonked mom in the head. Luckily, this didn't damage her. No one believed the farce, yet, no one seemed to care at all of such violence, including her. Not that this abated my anger in the slightest.

    Don't recall how this ended.
