dream fragment

Dear reader, if you follow my dream journal (which, let's face it, nobody probably does), you may have noticed that right after I said I would try to update more frequently, I disappeared for almost a month. The fact is that I realized that carefully writing out all of my dreams was becoming more of a chore than anything else, so I decided to take a break. I am still taking that break, but I decided I should say so online just in case there *are* any people who have taken an interest.

Here are some short summaries of interesting dreams I've had lately:

--Woke up late to class and found some kind of green plant in my teeth when I went to the bathroom. Weed? I've never done weed in my life, but I can't really remember what I did last night. Something related to Wheel of Time, and maybe Girl/Girl Scene . . . ?

--Doing parkour and other badass things with my sister

--Half lucid, I flew to "Central Park." (There was a larger story arc here that I've forgotten.)

--I walk a convoluted path to get to a commercial plane that takes off by jumping off of the branch of a giant tree. I didn't know planes could take off that way, but it's awesome.

Tour Bus

I'm taking a tour bus through Seville and Cadiz. Lots of cool exciting stuff happens. In order to get between the "Seville" and "Cadiz" parts of town, we drive through a length of road that's covered in a couple of feet of water. But when we get to Seville, we realize there are not good beaches over there: the shore is all just rocks. [IRL: Visited Seville and Cadiz recently on a trip.]

Castle Tour

I'm touring a castle that's been converted into a museum. There are some blue stairs half-covered in sand and the lighting tends to be pretty low.

I talk to a friend of my sister's about her technique of falling asleep by "rapture" (which is her word for "orgasm").

Later, we're sitting in a room and there's a cat. Cleverly, I trick the cat into falling on its side in that cute way they sometimes do.

• Two students involved with a different organization try to come into our lobby and start watching a movie as if it's totally their right to use that space. Hint: it's not!

• While standing in line to visit a tourist location, some of my new acquaintances who speak the local language explain to me some of the jokes being told by the people around us.

• My class is taking a tour, but because of a schedule change, we have to wait in a church for two hours while there's a service going on.

• I'm getting hardcore teased by my classmates. I feel mortified. The situation's so stressful that it's literally a nightmare, and I have to wake myself up to escape.

• I look in the mirror to find that my hair's been tye-dyed with pink and blue. It looks pretty cool. I conclude it must have been my new shampoo that did this without my realizing.

• I'm scrolling through the list of games on my console. It's a cover view; three covers per row and a lot of rows to scroll past. Suddenly I reach a section with about eight rows with the Godzilla "G" on the cover in various colors. I'm impressed by the longevity of the game franchise and the consistency of the cover design.

[I don't remember whether these were all part of one dream, or each part of a separate one.]
