    1. The Lifeless Sparrow

      by , 04-23-2012 at 03:45 PM
      (Older Dream)

      Non-lucid
      -------------------------

I was walking along and saw a trash pile - huge trash pile - before me. I stared at this heap and noticed something moving within the pile. I moved some of the trash and found a little bird. He was brown and small. I took him to be a sparrow. The poor thing was not breathing and I felt so saddened by it. I tried to breath (yeah, I know mouth to mouth with a bird, what's wrong with me?) life into the bird but he wouldn't take a breath.

I began to cry and it about broke my heart ...

When all of a sudden the bird fluttered to life and took to the sky.

      That's all I remember...

(In real life, I've encountered many birds. Several hummingbirds have been trapped in our garage and I've rescued them. I took in a baby bird and failed to see it to adulthood. It died after a few short days. We have many bluebird houses around our spacious yard thanks to my husband. But birds are always around.)

    2. A Trapped Bird, Peanut butter, and baseball

      by , 04-19-2012 at 11:22 AM
      April 19, 2012
      ----------------
      All non-lucid

I only glanced at my affirmation before turning out my light last night.

      1. Peanut butter...I don't know more than that. I dreamed of various kinds of peanut butter. (I also made my daughter a PBJ sandwich for her lunch tomorrow, before I went to bed)

      2. My cat had something trapped at the window. I went to the window and moved the curtain back and there was a little bird. Perhaps a wren or sparrow. Sparrow is more likely. It was all puffed up and crammed back in the corner of the window sill. I scooped it up expecting it to peck at me or something but it just rested in my hand. I hollered for someone to open the window and someone behind me did. I stuck my hand out and opened my fingers to let the little bird fly away but it just sat there. So, I moved it closer to the house - next to the outer wall. And at some point the bird morphed into a mouse. The mouse scattered down the side of the house and onto the ground. In the process it jumped from the wall to the ground and I watched it run away but I noticed it might have been limping. I also believe at one point a second bird flew out the window when the person lifted the sill. (reminds me of an older dream I had of the Lifeless Sparrow I found in the trash heap.)

      3. This dream was very sketchy. I was in third person most of the time and it almost felt like an Remote viewing but I know I was not. There was this rather tall and large young man. He was in a basement. He'd come to see someone or maybe someone had come to see him. He had brownish hair - and needed a haircut, as it was a bit long to the collar. The girl who was there came to maybe his chin. She went to kiss him but at the last minute he turned his head and she kissed his cheek. It was an awkward moment. They chatted for a while. The dream gets fuzzy and then my husband enters the dream. Apparently they know each other, this guy and my husband. I'm not sure if I'm hiding from them because the entire dream feels very distant, like I stayed away and observed everything. I felt like I was hiding. Both my husband and this man went out to our driveway and began throwing a baseball back and forth. Then, I woke up.
    3. Another night...another practice run

      April 16, 2012
      ---------------------
      Meditated late @ 7pm - 8pm

Got in bed, wrote my affirmation, read it, and then read a bit of a book.
Before turning out my light, I re-read my affirmation.

Didn't wake up until around 5:30'ish. No recall at all. I had a dream I remembered in the night but failed to write it down or record it. And this week I must rise early - so - setting an alarm is not an option.

Perhaps this is why I prefer to meditate - it's reliable - it's consistent. LD has never been consistent for me. I realize I'm just starting and I did not and do not expect to be LD'ing already. Dream recall must be built. It's just that I can get a similar affect during meditation and it might be that if I stop trying to LD/dream recall, and simply focus on my meditations, I may have better luck. What's that saying, "A watched pot never boils"? Well, if I'm focusing so hard on recall, it may never boil. I'm not giving up yet - too early. I just got started. Just trying to adjust my mindset.

    4. Silver Entities in the Void: Thoughts?

      by , 04-15-2012 at 05:10 PM
I've been searching the internet for information on Silver Entities in the void. The most meaningful that I came across had to do with two things:

      1. The void is nothingness and within the emptiness there is creation. Because when we have nothing, we can begin to fill the void with something. (paraphrased and not very eloquently, but I hope you get the gist.)

      2. Light is made up of many colors. And when God created light he created all that is. From that light, the angels were also created. Twin angels Scaphariel and Seraphiel. Both are male. Scaphariel is Golden. Seraphiel is Silver. One represents the male archetype and the other the female. Twin forms of light. Gold holds the space for creations while silver enlivens and activates what is created. Together they are known as the Source Rays.

My silver man, was just that, male. I am female. He was silver and I was gold. We did ... erm...'unite' so to speak at one point. If I take the void to mean a place of creation and the silver man was aiding me, perhaps he was helping me to create? Just as yin and yang is needed in all of life - so is male and female to keep a balance. Am I just grasping at straws here or does that seem somewhat logical? I am an artist and author. I also was working/experimenting with healing energies.

      Thoughts?
    5. Still working on Recall *sigh*

      by , 04-15-2012 at 02:07 PM
      April 15, 2012
      -------------------

I did not meditate and this is my first mistake, I think. I wrote my affirmation: I EASILY remember my dreams and record the when I wake in the morning.

Yeah....but I remembered NOTHING in the morning although throughout the night I would wake know that I was dreaming, remember what it was in bits and pieces, then FALL RIGHT BACK TO SLEEP! I know better than to do that.

Yesterday, however, I was exhausted all day. I was stressed out and when that happens, perhaps it's just better to sleep through the night and hope try for a better result tomorrow.
    6. Analysis of my more powerful lucid dreams

      by , 04-15-2012 at 02:56 AM
As I've transferred these from my physical dream journal to this online one, I've noticed I have several objects that have appeared in my more vivid dreams.

Tables - usually metallic or gurney like
      Gray or metallic rooms
      Chairs
      Dim lighting

In all three: Golden Dream, UFO dream, and Mel Gibson Saved Me, as well as the Pelican Dream & School, these have these elements.

When I enter the astral world (?) in Becoming Golden, I am in a dimly lit grayish room with three metallic tables. When I wake in my Mel Gibson dream, I wake upon a table. In the UFO dream, while there are no tables, the room itself is metallic. The man I met in the 'void' is also a silver, metallic form.

Chairs and gurneys are in the School/Pelican dream. Chairs are also in the UFO dream.

Any ideas on symbolism or the connections? :erm:
    7. Recurring Dream: Black Cats Behind Doors

      by , 04-15-2012 at 02:43 AM
When I was about 9-10, I used to have this recurring dream. I would be lying in a partially darkened room because I usually had a nightlight on somewhere or my blinds open. But at the time it seemed dark.

I would dream that I had fallen asleep (which I had) with my left arm hanging off the bed. I would wake and realize something was watching me. I knew it was behind the cracked door. So, I would stare at this space behind the door.

Out from behind this door, walked a black cat, with huge green eyes. I didn't have such a cat at the time. He would seem friendly and casually walk towards. When he was just beneath my arm, he would lunge and attack my arm.

      I would wake up.

This dream occurred for months. It happened the same way, every time.
    8. Medieval Village Hides Wall of Water

      by , 04-15-2012 at 02:04 AM
      Old partially Lucid Dream
      -------------------------------

I'm walking in what looks like a medieval village. It's modern day now, and there are many store fronts, so I gaze into their windows. It's pleasant and I'm in no hurry. The sidewalk is in good condition which contrasts the state of some of the buildings I pass. Many are made of stone and their walls are crumbling. It's chilly and night is falling.

As I near the corner of the sidewalk, I get a sense of concern. I turn the corner and am engulfed in this deep, angry wall of water. The waves grab me and pull me away from the safety of the quaint village. I go under and hear the sounds of the sea swirling around me. I force my way to the surface and gasp for air. Trying desperately to keep my head above the water, I notice in front of me, maybe several hundred yards beyond me, other people who were trapped in this sea are just walking out of the water and back onto the sidewalk.

No matter how hard I swim, struggle, or fight to move myself closer to shore, I cannot. I'm exhausted and I go under again. The waves are crashing all around me and beneath the water I feel assaulted, pushed here and there. I kick hard to make it to the surface once more and look to the shore. It seems even farther away and I am so envious of how effortlessly these other people leave the angry waters that I seem trapped in.

      I wake.

After thought: I did some research on dreams because to me this felt like something which could be cathartic or symbolic. Water often times represents emotions. And I had been pulled beneath and was fighting against the water...my emotions? I felt trapped by them - unable to escape them. That was my take of this dream. Any thoughts or other observations are welcomed.
    9. Getting some Dream Recall

      by , 04-14-2012 at 01:26 PM
      April 14, 2012
      ------------------
      Non-lucid
      Fragments

Wrote my affirmation before bed in my dream journal: I remember and record my dreams upon waking.

[I woke several times from about 3am onward. Several dreams woke me, but I moved, and like smoke, the dream vanished. I figured out that I had to say something to bring myself into a waking stating so that I could remember and write. A few other times, I simply fell back to sleep. ;P After a few times of waking and not remembering once I moved, I decided to speak aloud and mentally recall my affirmation.]

      1. A man I knew from High School was sitting on front porch steps with his Norwegian ex-wife and their daughter. She was very pretty - fair haired, light blue eyes, clear complexion. They were getting their picture taken and kept switching places.

      -back to sleep-

      2. [This one almost slipped away] Something about a guy. I was telling him to do something. I woke up and remembered what I told him and what we were doing - then I moved and forgot.

      -back to sleep-

      3. Seven Brides for Seven Brothers - an avalanche occurred and the eldest brother was taking the captured women back home. (I watched this movie the previous night.)

      back to sleep-

      4. Saw the Earth from space. Watched the Earth rotate. It was so beautiful and blue. Saw space...blackness.

      -back to sleep-

      5. I was in a hospital and I was giving an RN something (I knew as soon as I woke but as I moved to record this I forgot). She asked me, "Got anything new?" (Seriously? I give you a gift and you ask for something else?)

      -back to sleep-

      6. Someone [name was not even in my dream] on this forum was pointing to the dates in my older entries and saying, "Aren't you gonna have some new ones?" It was in a critical way.

      -------------------------

Side note: I'm not sure if this is just how dream recall develops as it's been so long, or whether my affirmation needs tweaking? Because waking about every 20 minutes to half hour was really annoying!
    10. Golden Form Struggling to Emerge

      by , 04-13-2012 at 06:36 PM
Meditation to Prime my Mind in order to Lucid Dream....

I used Between Worlds hemi-sync CD.
I sit in the same chair with my feet on the floor. I like to be touching the 'earth' or ground as I meditate.
Hands, palms up, thumbs touching middle finger in order to keep my body connected.

I begin as usual by focusing on the blackness behind my eyes [side note: Recently read CosmicIron's SILD method and it is very similar to the way I meditate.]. I watch the flashing colors as I go into a light trance. I also focus on the music. As I go into a light trance, I lose sense of my body as it becomes very heavy - just like you do before you fall asleep. If I go too far under, my body snaps awake. So, I have to try and hold this in between state of consciousness - not too far that I fall asleep but not too awake that I can't focus.

Today, I got into a light trance surprisingly fast. I didn't expect to go under until a certain point in the music.

The most memorable part - two parts actually - were when my centers just started pulsing. For some reason, I was elated. I thought I'd shut them down. I haven't done this in so long - I thought I'd completely cut myself off. So, to feel them pulse again, it's ... I'm thankful. As my centers pulsed I got this burst from my heart center and then this all over rush. It was like ... :hmm: when you get excited or surprised and you get an adrenalin rush, maybe? It was not orgasmic. It didn't start at my root/base chakra. It came from my heart center and enveloped me. I know for so many this just sounds like rubbish...because I was there once too.

The other memorable part was as this buzzing/adrenalin rush continued to buzz all over my body I felt both my forehead/brow chakra and the crown chakra all beat/pulse. It was not harsh but this consistent beating that just kept an overall buzz in my body - almost like when your limb falls asleep but then finally wakes up and you get this tingling? That's the sensation that occurred throughout my body. As this happened, I imagined/saw my golden form shooting from my crown and upwards, hands together like in prayer, towards the sky. She fought to get out but got stuck at her waist. She struggled but was not released.

What does that mean? How the heck do I know. It may mean nothing. I may mean that I am not fully opened and so she can only be freed when I am able to sustain this energy - which I can and could not. Or it may mean my tummy was really hungry and I needed some food!!
    11. Death in a Dream

      by , 04-13-2012 at 03:51 PM
      1983/82
      Non-lucid/partial lucidness Dream
      Memorable
      Vivid
      ---------------------------------------------
After my Grandma passed away, I was very disturbed by her leaving this world. One night, I lay in bed and tried to imagine what she might be feeling - how would it feel to be 'dead'. With these thoughts in my mind, I fell asleep. As the dream began, I found myself swimming. It was probably a typical swimming pool. I tried to come up for air and found a see-through barrier preventing me from getting to the surface. I swam left and right to no avail.

The dream shifted. I believe I became conscious. I wondered how would one feel if they were dead? I began shutting down each of my senses. I figured one wouldn't be able to hear and then I could not hear. One would not be able to see and then I could not see anything but black. One would not be able to feel....and this is where it changed again. I felt cut off and isolated. I was floating (seemingly) in this blackness - all alone - without sight, without hearing, without feeling. I did not exist. No one worried about me. I had no worries but I had no joys either. And then...I became terrified. I wanted to mean something to someone. I wanted to be remembered. I wanted to feel and see and hear. I woke up.

*Afterthought: Looking back on this dream, I often wonder if I had not just gone to the void that I found after years of meditating? To a child, the void might seem terrifying especially if you don't know what it is. But when I found the void as an adult, it was peaceful. And because you are meditating and your focus is internal - not external - I don't hear anything, or feel anything, or think anything. I could have, if I'd wanted to. But the goal was to focus and clear the mind - clear them mind of all that is. Only after clearing the mind can one be able to hear other things and see other things. Before that you only hear what is yours to hear. ... your own noise. And if someone/something else was talking to you, you would never hear them above your own chatter. So, as a child, the void, if that is what I entered, was a nightmare. The unknown can be terrifying...
    12. Remote Viewing Grays

      by , 04-13-2012 at 03:33 PM
Meditation: Previous Experience from the years 2006-2009
      ------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't know how I became interested in remote viewing, but when I did, I so enjoyed it. It began as a challenge and as a way to expand my own experience/knowledge. I was part of a group that did controlled experiments, so to speak. Just like this group here, so it was nothing formal.

Once I figured out ways to remote view, and trust me, my ways are mine, they do not work for everyone and many will say, that's not how you do it. So be it. I only know what I know.

This session was more of a curiosity tour. After my 'tour' on a UFO in a very lucid dream, many years after, I just couldn't resist spying. I can not recall if this was my 'first' or last time viewing them, I only know it was one of the times I viewed them. What they are - I don't know. Figments of a collective imagination? Alien life forms? Astral forms? Or none of the above...

When I RV'd, I would go in my golden form, looking like a wisp of golden silk. I would fly from my solar plexus area and to my target. I only did this after I had meditated and calmed my mind. Then, I would focus on my target, leave as golden, and see what I could find.

On this expedition, I came to what looked like a red desert. There was an opening to the cave and I went inside. I settled to the ground and began walking of floating. As I moved, I dragged my hand along the wall to my right. It felt sandy and rough, perhaps like sandstone. The cave walls were cool and the inside was very dark. But I kept following the wall.

When the wall ended, or perhaps I got bored and fast traveled, I came upon a room of sorts. It was dimly lit. There were what I can only call beds or gurneys in this room. And several "Grays" were lying around. They did not look like the typical bright-eyed, light skinned beings we see depicted on the cover of novels. These Grays were ashen and frail. Their mouths were mere slits but they had teeth I believe. They appeared in agony. There was so much pain and sadness.

At some point, I was discovered. I don't understand how. I just recall knowing someone other than these frail creatures became aware of me and sent me on my way with one heck of a headache. And yet, I continued to view them. In a way, I felt like I had turned the tables on them. And at points, they did not like it.
    13. More Affirmations

      by , 04-13-2012 at 03:04 PM
      April 13, 2012
      ----------------
Last night, I wrote my affirmation: I remember my dreams vividly and recall them in detail when I wake.

Then, I drew a line beneath the affirmation, read for a while, and before I fell asleep I repeated the affirmation.

It seems I forgot to clue my subconscious in on a few things:

      1. I need to actually write the dream down.
      2. -or maybe this should be #1 - I need to stay awake long enough to do #1.

      *sigh*

I woke several times during the night and I KNOW each time I woke it was because I had a dream. I remembered the dream when I woke .... BUT...I rolled right over and went back to sleep.

Tonight, I will adjust the affirmation to INCLUDE staying awake to record the dream.
    14. Meeting the Silver Man during Meditation (PG-rating)

      by , 04-12-2012 at 11:19 PM
      (2009) Old Meditation

      ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When I was meditating a lot - every day, for at least an hour a day, I had some very surreal experiences. One memorable session occurred while I meditated without music. I had progressed to the place where I could go to a black void and just hear and think nothing. I was able to hold that for quite awhile - THEN - now, not so much.

While in this void, which is very peaceful, by the way, a figure floated toward me. I simply observed it at first because sometimes the brain does send us images, but when you get to a point that you can quiet your mind, you can discern your thoughts. This was not my thought.

The silver man looked like a solid, human form of quick silver. He was quite stunning. I don't know why I knew he was male at that point - I think I noticed his chest was male and lacked breasts - sooo that certainly would give him away.

At some point, I saw myself floating in this void, and I was my golden image. I was floating, like in a pool, on my back. He floated above me, his face looking into my face. His eyes were the same color as his body, as were his lips and every other part of him. He was not translucent like me. He was solid and you could not see 'through' him. He had no male anatomy that I could discern. As he floated above me, I got the sense he was going to do 'something' to me. I became a bit nervous but not enough to leave the meditation. I think I was far too curious, as this was one of my first encounters. I was not able to control him. And I know that sounds weird, but it was similar to a lucid dream, after what I've read in here (as I've not had many lucid dreams) when you can't control your DC. He did his own thing.

He spoke to me but I don't recall now what he said exactly. His voice was deep and definitely male. He also was talking to 'others' and I could not hear them. I never did see these other people(??). But he continued to float above me - sort of in a missionary position, but yet, he never touched me, during this session. He was sort of a sexual being, but I got the sense that he was there for me, but I didn't know what that meant at the time. I was attracted to him. He had a very domineering personality. It was not mean, it was just matter-of-fact and you're going to do this. He faded away, and I came out of my meditation. It would not be the last time I encountered the Silver Man. (kind of reminds me of the Silver Surfer - which was not out then and I never read comics) He visited me a few more times and the visitations became more intense.
    15. Nightmare Rape (PG rating)

      by , 04-12-2012 at 10:49 PM
Old Dream from childhood....1980's (yeah, I'm OLD)

      -------------------------------------
My mother was driving my twin brothers and me somewhere at night. It was a dark two lane road and late. I felt really scared. All of a sudden the car breaks down and she tells us to stay in the car - she's going for help. She gets out of the car. Houses line the left side of the road. These houses are on a slight hill, but nothing that my mom can't climb. It's an easy grade. She heads toward the only house with a porch light on.

From the corner of my eye, I see dark figures sneaking up to her. I know they are after and stalking her. She starts to run and they chase her. I scream (and it comes out IRL). I open up the door and burst out of the car. I run toward my mother but she is already on the ground and the men are on top of her. They are holding her down and she is screaming. I am calling to her and trying to run. As I run, I pump my arms, willing myself faster. IRL I must have swung my arms too because I scraped my knuckles on my stucco wall and this woke me up. My knuckles were bleeding slightly and my dad was in my room. He apparently heard me scream.
